Paige was a fantastic and attentive member of staff. Never went without a drink and the food came very quickly. My grandad had a fabulous father's day meal and so did i. I got the Slow cooked pork and there was 0 fat left on any of our plates. Fantastic service, fantastic place and clean and friendly. [thanks paige] ♡

This is a nice restaurant. Firstly, they are pet friendly which is very welcome if you’re with a dog. The restaurant has a nice feel, and it’s clean and cosy. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. I’d particularly recommend the Leeds ale if you’re looking for a nice local drink to fry. The prices here are reasonable too. I’d come back here.

Amazing food! Great service and friendly staff. Considering it was so busy (we got the last table) the food came very fast. Clearly a popular spot for a good pub lunch. Reasonably priced too! The second time I ate here was for Sunday Lunch, it was quite quiet and the food was delicious! Perfect service and low price.

I strolled into this restaurant all pumped because it was TikTok famous. Brought my Hindu dog along, thinking he'd love some meaty treats. But then I saw a sign claiming the place has been open for over 3000 years. I thought to myself that it’s 2023 how is this possible and just when I thought it couldn't get any weirder I spotted a customer busting moves in a KKK outfit. Nope, nope, and more nope I waltzed right outta there. #EpicFailRestaurant

Absolutely amazing, welcomed in and seated, table service was incredible, polite and friendly. The food was plentiful, flavoursome and truly a delight. Atmosphere warm and relaxing with good dining music. Cannot thank our server enough for being absolutely lovely and making the whole experience more than we could have hoped for and the special small touches made us smile. The only disappointment was that the meal ended, would have been quite happy to eat more even though we were thoroughly stuffed!

Just had a great evening for charity at the George and Dragon. Wonderful selection of festive fayre. Good atmosphere and all for a donation to a very deserving charity. Well done everyone for all your hard work, hope you raise a lot of money.

Been here a few times recently all because of the service we received from Louise!! She was amazing, great with the children and I couldn’t fault her. A few months back we went to another vintage and had the worst experience so I’m really glad we decided to try here instead. It’s was so great we had to bring along family to enjoy too. The food was very tasty and the staff helpful. Only feedback was the dauphinoise potato’s was not very well presented. It came out as a lump of potato rather than spread in an appetising way but still tasted good. Our whole party enjoyed themselves

Visited with family, having not been here in 20 years, so unsure what to expect. Staff were so obliging and friendly. Food was excellent. Plus, it is great value for money.

Came to the Taste of Christmas evening. We all really enjoyed the mini tasters. They were all delicious and presented so well and the service was great. Well done to everyone including Megan, Maria and all the kitchen staff. The arancini balls starter was delicious! The selection definitely showed the festive menu off well. We hope lots was raised for the charity too.

Absolutely brilliant. The food was amazing the staff was brilliant. I haven’t been in for a while and thought we would try it again. I really wanted a steak and they did not let me down. Definitely will be coming back soon

We come here very often and are never disappointed, we've tried most things on the menu and never had a bad meal. The servers are always lovely and always do everything they can to accommodate. It's a little on the pricey side but definitely worth it for the amount and standard of food you receive!

It was a birthday treat for my wife. She was utterly delighted so in that sense the venue delivered the objective. However I felt there was a lack of initiative and imagination. There could have been a sparkler or a free drink to make her day. I also felt that my own dishes were unimaginative, adequate rather than outstanding

Ohh my gosh! How has this place been just down the road from me and I've not been! The food was amazing and the prices were even nicer! Such a cosy feeling in there too. Really hope this place stayes open, I need to try the full menu! Food was super tasty and good sized portions, didn't manage to get a photo of my main as I started before realising so you have a photo of my pudding instead. 241 cocktails too, née Friday fave!

We have been for meals here several times and we absolutely love it. We can be assured of an excellent meal in a friendly environment where we can also bring our dogs with us. We have never had a bad meal here and have always been treated by professional, friendly and helpful staff. We have already recommended it to friends and family and will continue to do so. This visit was for a birthday celebration and the staff were so happy and welcoming, it was a wonderful evening with beautiful food, nice drinks and a great atmosphere shared with friends. Just perfect, as usual!

We had a lovely warm welcome from Maria and her team. The settings were beautiful too. We were taken to a lovely table and all the candles were lit which made it look amazing! The service from our waitress was perfect and the food was served promptly and was delicious.

The Sunday roast and the vegetarian roast were super delicious and huge. The passion fruit soda was very tasty, too. Comfy place

Lovely pub and nicely furnished. On arrival there was works going on over the road causing a very unpleasant smell so unfortunately we couldn’t have a drink outside in the sun. The food was nice but maybe not presented the best and the green veg side dish was very disappointing with only 3 pieces of broccoli laid on top of some cabbage scrapings. But overall it was a nice meal and we would try again.

Not a bad pub. Staff very friendly & helpful. Good choice of food & drinks. Food is typical pub fayre, ok but not amazing. Freshly made pizzas were particularly good. Large garden with ample seating. Big car park & easy access. I thought some kids play equipment was lacking & that they are missing out on that trade. Overall I thought good value & would recommend

Nice dog friendly pub woth water bowls and treats!, nice food menu, nice little beer garden. Very chilled cottage like feeling. Comfy chairs woth cushions. Friendly staff.

Always good food, and better service. New Years Eve meal, set menu, only complaint is the toast could have been toasted! Chloe was excellent and bar staff friendly and helpful.

Not sure when it was taken over, but since then it has been brilliant. Food is excellent and the head chef has made a great menu. A little bit pricey, but you won't mind paying it once you've enjoyed your food. Excellent friendly service and a good choice of drinks.

The Beer selection is superb but can't say the same about the food. 2 years since my last visit and vowed never to return. Tried 2 other local pubs first for food only to be turned away because they were full. Should have realized, this pub was very quiet, was hoping the food had changed but unfortunately not. See you in a few more years guys just hoping for better next time.

Called in on the off chance following a walk on the canal. Was busy but managed to get a table for two. Food looked so good when it arrived we got stuck in and forgot to take photos. Fish cakes with poached egg, and good old fish and chips. Both were really nice and came in good time. Staff were very pleasant, welcoming and chatty, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Highly recommended and we will be back to try some of the other dishes on offer.
