Dropped in for Sunday lunch, what an amazing pub. Wonderful old world decor. Great staff, super fast service. Fantastic food.cant wait for summer to sit out on the front lawn watching the sun go down.

Fantastic atmosphere and stunning roast dinners at this lovely dog friendly place sat upon the Moors. Great location for the beer garden. Offers good selection of alcoholic beverages and cocktails 😊 Had a great experience today, food was delicious, staff is friendly. Nice pub experience all around, prices are reasonable and portion sizes are good! Definitely recommend! 👍

We visited to celebrate an 80th birthday. Service was friendly, not rushed and attentive. My beef shin in Miso butter, roast carrots, dauphinoise potatoes and greens was tasty. When we booked we said we had a disabled guest and on arrival we were put at a perfect table. Everyone said their starters and mains were delicious. Decor is welcoming and the setting is lovely. There is also plenty of outdoor seating as well.

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here. It's very high quality pub food at an excellent price, and a reasonable selection of ales. Limited choice of about 5 mains (as you might expect for a Sunday lunch), but even within that were veggie options. Our server Jasmine was friendly, relaxed and happy to advise on both food and drinks. A perfect pub lunch.

We stopped to try this seemingly popular pub. We drove past many times in the past and the car park always seemed full. We ordered Sunday roast with three types of meat. What a complete disaster!!! The pork was sort of ok,beef and turkey too dry.The worst thing was the spuds. It was a joke!! After one bite, I gave up. My husband, nicknamed as spuds-vaccum-cleaner left a few on his plate, which never happened in the past. The brocolli was over cooked. The only thing on the plate which was good was parsnip. The view was great when you sat in their garden. Staff was friendly. The food not acceptable. Go there to have a drink and enjoy the view. For food, go somewhere else. The quality of their Sunday roast is worse than carvery.

Warm friendly welcome. After a long walk on the Moors our group of 8 enjoyed a very good meal sat in front of a roaring log fire. Excellent food and service. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Dogs welcome too which was a bonus. Would recommend.

The staff were lovely and service was quick and friendly. It was cold in the pub with no radiators on and my food went cold really fast. The food was nice. They have a lovely setting and amazing views. It would be great on a warm summer day. The food seemed expensive for what it was which I wouldn’t have minded if the heating was on!

Didn't eat there just got a couple of drinks. . Only just opened up when we got there so not many people about to comment on atmosphere. Just a meeting place before setting off on a walk. Dog friendly, free dog biscuits and water available.

Great pub, nice seating, good portions. Beef and red wine pie is so rich and delicious, can smell the wine immediately the pastry crust is cracked. The chicken schnitzel is yummy too, almost like a parmo.

Strongly recommended pub and definitely worth the trip out to it, for the views, beer, and food. Very friendly atmosphere. We went Tuesady afternoon in March and it was busy without being full. The menu is excellent, good vegetarian choice, usual pub level prices - not very cheap, but not expensive either. Good choice of beers and wines. Plenty of parking available, though we walked to it. It is the perfect starting point for a walk across the moors to Ilkley, which is what we did!! Lots of outdoor seating for when the weather is good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Toilet is quiet a climb upstairs, but very clean, and has a magnificent view! Well known place locally and deserves its good reputation.

Spent the best part of an afternoon here catching up with a friend. Dogs are allowed in the bar area and there was a lovely open fire. We both had salads and although they were £15, they were large portions and really tasty. Drinks of all kinds available, including a selection of herbal teas. Lovely outdoor seating, which I can imagine is gorgeous in the summer, especially with the views. I understand there are lots of long walks around the area so would be a good stop to or from, or between a walk.

The fish and chips were a great portion size, but the fish was oily and the chips were underdone. The prawn linguine was ok, but there was coriander used as a garnish which was strange. The scallops in cheesy garlic sauce were way underdone. The scallops were not seared off and the sauce was watery. There was no golden brown cheese and it was really disappointing. The drinks took ages to arrive and I found it quicker to go to the bar and get the drink myself. We loved the idea of the complimentary pudding so we ordered the apple, black currant and cherry crumble. Again this was undercooked with the crumble being doughy and floury. The whole thing was way too tart and lacked sugar. The custard was watery and didn’t taste great. I had two spoons and left the rest as it was inedible. The staff seemed to just leave everyone and not check if anyone needed anything. The table next to us kept asking for drinks that never came. We came here based on a recommendation, but sadly we won’t return. If the service and food was that bad on a quiet Thursday night, I could only imagine what it would be like when busy. The only thing worth coming back for is the view.

Went for lunch a great menu. Was surprisingly busy for a Thursday, but now I know why. Really nice selection of drinks, and the venue and location are stunning. Lovely fire places lite and dog friendly. Look forward to visiting again and seeing it in the summer.

Friendly atmosphere, good food. A busy place with a descent menu. It was a bit cold as they had a problem with the heating system. Beautiful views, will be better in the summer

After enjoying a roast dinner with the family there last year, we didn't think twice about visiting there again for some lunch on the weekend. The car park has lots of spaces, the semi-rural view's lovely, and there's also lots of picnic style tables outside, making it the ideal place to rock up for food on a sunny afternoon. You order using an app (or you can go inside and do it in person). Drinks arrived soon after but the food took a while longer, as you'd expect on a busy day. My fish finger sandwich was lovely. The pizza was not very good, like a supermarket one with LOADS of cheese, but not mozzarella. The chicken sandwich was OK, but that's about it. The three of us also had a drink and the bill was £38, which is not the cheapest, but it's a place with a bit of a name, so the bill isnwhat it is. As a family, we're a bit put off now and are unlikely to try lunch again there for a while, even though our roast dinner the year before was pretty nice... The place was popular though and all the tables were taken so they must be doing a roaring trade.

Lovely venue with amazing food! Hosted a large group of old friends for a reunion drink and dinner. Outstanding hospitality thank you so much to all the staff for having us!

Always greeted with a warm welcome here from the staff. With a menu that can suit pretty much everyone, the food is top quality, no matter how busy the place can be at the majority of times. Great selection of drinks on offer too. If you don't fancy sitting inside, the spacious and splendid beer garden is on offer too, with great views! Massive kudos to all the staff and management at this place.

Would have been a five, alas the heating was down. Was good of them to bring heaters to each table and also extra heaters if you were still cold. Foods amazing and having log fires in use os a nice touch.

Nice location but a bit pricey - just shy of £8 for a pint and a tea. Got there at 9:00pm on a Sunday and the servers were trying their best to hide as they were already in the process of closing up and seemed a bit put out by our presence. Had to go behind the bar myself and get the forgotten sugar as I was completely ignored when I asked. Shortly after a group of staff then congregated around the far end of the bar, car keys in hands complaining about their wages.

Passed here many times through work, I've seen many cars parked up and i thought I'd give it a try some time. It was a surprise for my wife who was enchanted with the place, she and i loved the food. We had a beef brisket sourdough and pink onions sandwich with chips and a side of onion rings which came with a gravy dip... Delicious. We'll be coming back!

The value for money was amazing! I have health issues and can only consume small portions, when asking for a kids meal the staff were so happy to accommodate with no questions asked. They spoke to my children and were very welcoming. The food was amazing and presentation was to a high standard

Super food, lovely staff and tremendous location what's not to like! Ticks all the boxes. When we went on Mother's day this year by a mix up we found we'd booked the wrong day but they managed to seat us even so. Brilliant!

We stopped here on a lovely warm afternoon. The location is out of the way which gives it the benefit of the beautiful views surroundings you as you sit outside. The food and drinks menu was great and the staff were very friendly and polite overall. The outside has a great seating area, full of benches, tables and chairs and stunning scenery. The inside is really cosy and warm, with some lovely private seating areas, great for a catch up with friends. The only downside I would say is that a lot of the outside seating was covered in bird poo, which I guess is difficult to tackle, lets be honest. However maybe some cleaning wipes left outside somewhere would be really great?
