Lovely museum and completely free. Nice exhibition around the Caribbean and helpful staff. Very impressive art pieces to suit a range of tastes. Even better if some Information about the hall itself were displayed in the museum.

This was a grand gallery to visit, displaying many glorious pieces of artwork across numerous rooms. The range of the work was refreshing too, spanning from centuries ago to the modern day period. I was interested in seeing the artifacts that are also showcased, helping give a better understanding of life back in eras long gone! The accompanying garden is a highly pleasant addition, having large stretches of grass and spurting fountains. I had my lunch in the garden, sitting down comfortably on one of the benches overlooking the fountains.

The park is superbly kept and the fountains look lovely. The art gallery is just fabulous and there is a cafe. All a credit to Bradford and many thanks to the staff and council.

Even though the weak February sunshine was not bright enough to open the million crocus blooms, it was still spectacular. The Refreshment Room tries it's best to provide value for money grub, but it is both dog friendly and child friendly which may spoil your meal. The museum is full of unexpected art treasures and quite a discovery with friendly staff on hand too.

Sculptures and paintings are a delight to see scattered around this magnificent Hall. The various exhibitions that were on at my time of visit was fantastic. The David Hockney Gallery was a highlight, as was the coffee and cake in the cafe. This beautiful looking Hall is worth a visit.

A great space to enjoy and explore our cultural heritage, present challenges and future possibilities.

Great art gallery and museum let down by dreadful coffee. The cappuccino was so bad I had to swap it for a pot of tea. The tea was tea bag in a tea pot. Nothing special but how hard can it be to have proper tea with fresh loose leaf tea? Making good coffee is an art and a passion. Whatever machine they've got here is an insult to us patrons and to Cartwright Hall itself. Why do we put up with such mediocrity. Life is too short. Some of the art work was fabulous though and well worth a visit

A lovely small free museum with regularly changing exhibitions plus key longstanding pieces. Not excluding the fact that the building, park and gardens are beautiful, it also has a lovely cafe.

Stunning building with paintings and sculptures which makes you stop and think about what you are seeing! It is based within Lister Park. The gardens surrounding the hall are pristine and well kept with fountains and other water features. Well worth a visit

Very interesting and educational place to visit. Cafe has a good variety of things to eat and drink. Well worth a visit. Just be aware of the vehicular access for disabled parking as its not very clearly signposted.

Unfortunately, my visit coincided with a damp and dull day in Bradford. However, once inside, the weather didn't matter one bit. Other than a group of students, there were few other visitors, so I had ample time to view all the exhibits. The Hockney Gallery was obviously memorable, but I also enjoyed the photographs of individuals and families taken from the seventies onwards. A truly enjoyable visit.

A brilliant free gallery which we got round in a couple of hours and had a modest but reasonably priced lunch in the cafe. Particularly enjoyed the David Hockney gallery and video interview. They were well geared up for school activities and there were a few interactive stations for the young and young at heart.

Had a walk through the grounds which were nice even at this time of year. The gallery itself was better than i expected if im honest, some interesting pieces and a great little cafe to stop off for tea and a slice of cake.

Free entry to this small museum within the grounds of Lister Park. Lots of free parking within the park or on North Park Road or Emm Lane. Exhibits around history of Bradford, artwork and sculptures. Allow one hour to get around it. Toilets and cafe on site. Plenty of lovely walking, running, cycling trails in the park. Food shops and takeaways nearby on Oak Lane.

Nice historical building within Bradford with interesting exhibitions and art on display. Some activities available for kids at times as well. When you're done seeing the art you can spend time in the fantastic park outside.

Wonderful museum with some beautiful artwork on display totally free of charge. The location is really beautiful too, visited for the first time with the family, enjoyed a lovely boat ride, fantastic little cafe there with delicious ice cream and other snacks. Fully deserved 5 stars I would highly recommend a visit.

Super art gallery. What a fabulous building. We really enjoyed our visit. There was much to see. The covid safe signposting was easy to follow. The staff were extremely helpful. I was particularly pleased to see a Lowry.

Wonderful building and gardens. Walking around lister Park is beautifully laid out with excellent facilities. Perfect for families to enjoy. After walking around the park several times lunch in the café with my wife and pooch topped my day off. I'll be visiting regularly 👍
