I'm a local lad. Raised right next door to this place and Bowling Park so both hold fond memories for me and my family. Passed my driving test recently and the first place I wanted to take my missus and 1 year old daughter was here. Still wonderful. So fascinating. Got lots of lovely photos of my baby's first visit. Staff are lovely, helpful and passionate about the place. Full of interesting trivia and knowledge. Made a donation and bought some cute keepsakes from the gift shop. Also I'm a descendant of the family who owned it some time ago, so there's that cool fact :)

A house with lots of interesting chracter, with the 16th cebtury civil war links to the additional Georgian extension. A haunted bedroom and option to try on helmets to amuse the kids. No real grounds to visit but operated by Bradford Council and free to visit. Visit takes just over an hour.

Lovely place for a wander. Free to enter with a decent sized free carpark. We only spent about half an hour here as we wandered round, but you could spend longer. Some people were finding out more info from staff who seemed very knowledgeable. This is also a warm space with hot drinks available and there is a library on site. In the grounds there was an old boundary stone and milestone which seem to have been relocated to here at some point in the past. Worth a visit if you're into a bit of history. Apparently it's also haunted, but we never saw no ghostly figures...other than the volunteer/ staff member who was dressed up in period costume and sat in one of the rooms!

Great place to visit. Free admission!!! See how they lived throughout the years. Very welcoming stuff, next to a park and a playground. Free parking! Not busy at all.

We actually visited the museum for a paranormal evening. It is a beautiful building with many displays all set up as would have been throughout its history. There is an amazing garden at the rear of the building.

Lovely and pretty museum and gardens nestled in Bradford. The hall is free admission and the parking, too, which was accessible via Brompton Ave. There is also a little shop at the end of the house tour with great memorabilia to purchase. The staff were super friendly, too. Highly recommended for a little day trip out.

Bolling Hall looks like it is in serious need of a funding injection from a cash strapped Bradford Council. So we know that's not going to happen, which is a great shame as it has such an interesting history, particularly regarding the Civil War. It's free to go in and wander through the various rooms and examine their contents - which includes the deathmask of Oliver Cromwell. Many of the areas of the Hall are closed to the public, due I suspect to a lack of money to carry out repairs and renovations. The outside also looks in serious need of some TLC as do the neglected gardens. I'd be happy to pay a little more council tax if I knew it would help to support this and other fascinating places under council care instead of watching them gradually and sadly disintigrate.

Fantastic historic Bolling Hall in Bradford, some amazing interiors and artifacts, really lovely staff and an amazing volunteer dressed in period costume telling us some history of the hall . I love old houses and halls of this period full of important history but will say Bradford council the outside needs a tidy up, the main door dirty not very inviting, bin overflowing and garden needs some attention, would be more inviting. Defiantly worth checking out

One of the locations used on TV"s Most Haunted. Although we didn't meet any ghosts the Cromwell Death Mask gave us the shivers.

Did a paranormal event here in October with Haunted Happenings. It was my 1st time with this event group. Boiling Hall filled with amazing history, and our investigation for paranormal was on form with active spirits. Highly recommended. Would like to come back and visit in the daytime.

It was pretty quiet when my daughter visited, which was perfect as we could take our time wondering around and reading the information. The guide on duty was informative with some fascinating ghost/ supernatural stories to tell. If you are into history, it's a great place to while away an hour or two close to the city centre

Came here to investigate. It was a fairly quiet night with some activity. The place was stunning! It is fascinating to learn about the history of our country and to see how some people lived in years gone by. Hopefully, I'll be able to visit during the daylight hours and delve more into the history of the building.

Surprising bit of Bradford history. Nice display of children nursery rhymes, and helmets to try on.

A fascinating look into the past. A house built over two or three centuries. Intimately involved in the civil war, it's owner locked in Fleet Prison, while having his house confiscated, being on the losing side. Lots of original possessions. A big interest in nursery rhymes throughout the property. I could go on, but go there, it's free!

Lovely building and some really interesting pieces of Bradfords history to discover. The staff are lovely and passionate and the grounds are nice to explore too. Right next to a Bowling park too.

I can't believe this place, hidden gem, would never expect to find somewhere like this surrounded by council houses, I think this is why it made it more interesting, the rooms are full of history.

A bit of a hidden gem. My 3 year old loved exploring the garden. There's a lovely little library inside. Steeped in history. It's great for people of all ages. There's a decent kids play area across the road in the park.

Excellent little museum. It deserves more attention than it gets. Exquisite Tudor house. You will find out about 700 years of history including interesting story about the civil war. Definitely worth visiting.

Great place to go, friendly staff and so full of history. It's free admission but do make a donation and definitely go again

Excellent experience! The lad loved it and loved its civil war connection with Skipton Castle.

Lovely place to visit and have a wander round. I visited a few years ago and I think it cost about £1 or something but it was free this time. They seem to have invested in some new illuminated signs and things since my last time. Would recommend.

Impressive visit. The park itself is big and very beautiful. Has got lot of quite areas. All over green grassy and lot of trees that gives the feeling of eye comfort. Some of the benches have got waste bags hanging on their sides that needs cleaning. But the park itself very clean tidy. Clean and tidy path ways for people walking jogging running etc. especially good for taking the babies around. Bikers might come from behind so beware of it that needs a bit attention.
