More than 30 years since we last came. What a fabulous transformation. Plenty of independent shops which kept the misses happy. Lifts are also now available to the upper floors. I like what’s been done with the step waterfalls and levelling off the courtyard with picnic benches and ample seating for all. All in all a very pleasant visit. We must go more often.

Excellent venue. Well organised and superb sound. Good atmosphere and staff were friendly and very helpful. Had VIP tickets so were up in the balcony. Being open air it stated no umbrellas or chairs. No parking at the venue so look for car parks nearby such as Broad Street. Would definitely go back. Lovely time.

We recently visited The Peace Hall and and had a really good time. This building is rather unique and its history is very interesting. There are rooms with interactive display detailing the history and former purpose of the hall as a cloth trading centre. There are lot of small shops and boutique and places to eat and drink and there are also public toilets 🚻 and lifts to gain access to the upper floors. It's central located so the shopping centre is near by too. The day we visited a film 🎥 crew was setting up to film a Marvel series with a Hollywood star apparently. If you visit Halifax definitely pop in you won't be disappointed 👍🏻🤷🏾‍♂️

A wonderful quirky place from yester years to visit. Very impressive place with a wonderful vibe and as ample space for everyone including wheelchair users. Wonderful small family run businesses selling everything from handmade to unique one off items such as jewellery, furniture, pictures/paintings,clothing or tea rooms. Sadly parking can be an issue but apart from this strongly recommend people visit this beautiful gem of a place.

One of my absolute favourite places to go for some quality wellbeing time. A quick hour or so drive from me, when i have had a difficult week working nothing nicer than a wander around taking in not only the building and its vibe but the independent stores and not to mention the coffee and food there. It is a must! Love you Piece Hall!!

Attended a gig here (Noel Gallagher) and it was absolutely brilliant. Fantastic venue providing a magnificent setting on a lovely mid summer night's evening. Best venue I've been to in as long as I can remember actually. Beer isn't cheap but what is these days? (Poor people's lives to the Tories excepted) £6 a pint but God what a lovely place!

This is such a unique venue and during the day you can shop and eat/drink there, with lots of independent and quality shops. Went to our first concert there last night and had mixed feelings about it. Loved the sight of it and the atmosphere. However the drinks prices were extortionate; it is meant to be a non smoking venue but they didn't enforce it; the normal toilets weren't open (as the venue had informed me prior) and I hate portaloos with a passion! We would go again though.

My best visit yet. Amazing Sophie Ryder sculptures, beautifully accommodated and accessible in this structure. Lots of choice of seating and plenty of space and interesting things to see.

The Piece Hall was an amazing experience. The vastness of it yet the airy square in the middle was throbbing with people at the same time as cultural dancers and what seemed like a starship convention of jedi, lite sabers and lots for the kids to do. I enjoyed an amazingly good lunch at the bread (something) and there were some very interesting little shops on the first floor balcony. Well worth a visit.

Our beautiful Piece Hall. Becoming known as the Summer Gig venue to attend. The Piece Hall is a stunning historical building. Take time to indulge in the history and the story The Piece Hall has to tell. Browse the specialist boutique shops and enjoy a variety of food, cakes and drinks at a choice of eateries. The Piece Hall also holds public events, tickets not required, open to all... Calderdale Pride, Artisan Markets, Northern Soul days to name but a few and a host of free and ticketed events during the festive season inc an ice rink. Wheelchair accessible and dog friendly ♿🐾

Experienced an evening music concert at this venue. What a stunning place to visit - completely unique and such a fantastic atmosphere. All amenities covered food drinks toilets. Be aware this is a standing venue, seating is very limited in form of stone steps or a few stone benches, bringing your own seating is not allowed. Very close to train station and lots of reasonably priced parking nearby.

Wow what a venue. New one on me, but amazing open air courtyard with great amenities and amazing visibility of the stage. With a capacity of around 5,500 it has the vibe of a small festival. Food and drink available on site which was a nice change for a gig. Queens of the Stone Age absolutely nailed it well. Great venue, perfect evening

Wonderful bit of history and a good place to explore on a rainy day. Loads of fabulous independent businesses working hard and providing an array of products, food, coffee and more. All the retailers I stopped into were accompanied by very friendly staff who were more than happy to make recommendations for the area and have plenty of lovely chit chat. I had a very splendid wet and windy day mulching about The Piece Hall and getting to know the area better

First time visited. Fascinating history where they use to trade cloth. Now they have some quirky shops and plenty of eateries and Cafés where you can relax and watch the world go by. The shops are located on two floors. To be noted, there are some lifts! And good facilities at each corner of the hall.

Heard so much about this impressive place that I had to visit. About 5 minute walk or less from train station. Still walking around the floors and seeing all the independent shops. So far have encountered very friendly people. Think I need to return for Christmas!

It was buzzing! Lots of people milling around. Just loved this historic place, all the lovely little shops that now occupy the old offices. The beautiful gated entrance just cannot be missed. The Yorkshire Soap Co was something really special... and well worth a visit. Was like going into a cake shop! Immaculately fantastic!

It's been many years since I have been inside piece hall, but the reworks of the whole place is fantastic, we 'Sentinel Squad UK' are fortunate enough to have this on our venue list

Beautiful piece of history with a modern twist. Well worth a visit! Great restaurants, eateries and cute boutique shops on all levels. Lots of history, built in 1779 and luckily this gem was originally saved by 1 vote from demolition! 🫣 Great atmosphere with live music as you sit and enjoy and take on the views! 😁🙌

A lot of shops and food around to see and experience. Some fairly similar, but some very unique. A lovely place for a day out, the Christmas market especially was fantastic fun but extremely busy. Blondin's diner was fantastic with a delicious choice for breakfasts or lunch. But there were multiple places to choose from. There is a visitor center as well as staff walking around if you need assistance. There is a lot of history here, would definitely come back.

Beautiful setting. Lovely independent shops and a superb venue for gigs. Shops closed at 1pm to allow for setting up the stage - will definitely visit again on a non gig day. Reasonably priced parking really close by. Close to the town too. Loved it here!

The Piece Hall is a beautiful building. We have visited twice the first time to shop and have lunch. The shops are many and varied and cater to all tastes. We had lunch in one of the small cafes and the food was delicious. The second visit was to see George Ezra which was a great experience. It was well managed and the staff were very welcoming. It just goes to show the versatility of the space. We would definitely want to visit again in the future.

This old market hall is the main Halifax attraction since its grand reopening. More and more businesses are moving in. We went for food at the Trading Post. There was a makers market taking place. Concerts are also held. Has great potential. Needs a real ale bar.

Lovely little outing in Halifax. Some great boutique shops and restaurants to enjoy in this heritage site. Park at the Eureka centre and walk up the road to the piece hall.

Fantastic venue, went to see Boy genius here 22nd August WOW what a band, what a performance, completely blown away. The venue was so beautiful, the courtyard was great. Acoustics great. Plenty of little seats and steps to rest on. The staff were amazing 🤩 thank you all so much for the kindness and professionalism shown particularly by the accessibility staff 🙏

I was disappointed with the Christmas market and hall. The shops in the hall were repetitive, and there weren't many stalls. I did enjoy Halifax Minster. The poppy display was impressive, and it's worth going to look at the stained glass windows. Big queues for the toilets.

It's a great central location in the middle of Halifax town centre. There is always a good event on, like concerts, Christmas fayre's and other great things. It is in a great location next to the workshops and has some great shops inside and is great for a nice day out with the family. I would recommend this to anyone! It is also free to get in, even though sometimes there will be guards..

A beautiful building which we visited when a Christmas Market/Fayre was on. Very busy but well worth it. Lots of independent shops from a book shop to a magical supplies shop! Several toilets (though not enough). All in all, worth the visit and NOT a disappointment in the slightest.

😠 I parked here for less than 20 minutes at night when all the shops were closed, and they fined me 100£ for that! Greedy owners , will never step foot again in this place

👍👍 Lovely to be able to eat in at the café again. Lots of great home cooking, friendly helpful staff as usual and the décor is really nice and spick and span. Sat outside on the deck today, nice shaded spot.
