Really good day out! Great facilities too, a really big dining area so plenty of space to eat inside and out, grest Cafe and the new toilet block is pristine! Some really interesting artifacts to see and the sound affects and nostalgic smells really bring it to like ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wouldn’t go back! I remember visiting here with the school years back and having a good time. I took my two boys here thinking it would be very good and educational…. It wasn’t…. The only part they liked was probably the army vehicles, they was no rooms to have fun in, no interactive elements, everyone just seemed to be walking around bored. The staff member in the gift shop was miserable and had zero patience whilst one of boys picked a souvenir. If they wasn’t a small park inside we’d of left 20 mins earlier. You can’t expect kids to walk in each of the huts and read everything, so I’m struggling to see who the museum is aimed at? If it’s adults then kids should go FREE, if it’s for kids you need to add interactive learning parts to the museum or even have some activities and maybe items or answers they have to find?! Save your money and visit flamingo land next door instead. 👍🏼

A great half day out. Found this place , well sign posted and plenty of free parking. Everywhere was tidy and people with dogs were all under control. There was loads to see. The exhibits were varied and done as though it was a picture from that time. There was even smells and heat used to give an authentic feel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The toilets clean and modern, and baby changing units available. The cafe was pretty decent but expensive, a sausage or bacon bun was really overpriced for 2 sausages or 2 bits of bacon. The quality was ok, with fresh buns, clean cutlery, plates etc. All in all, a great half day out, we would go again, but take something to eat instead of using the cafe.

Great family day out. Took Grandad and kids so ages from 70+ to 6. Lots to learn, look at and touch. Small kids play area as well for when they inevitably get bored of looking at exhibits. Took a picnic do cannot comment on cafe, but prices seemed reasonable. Gift shop was reasonably priced with a few nice items. Good place to visit. Will return.

Excellent place to visit for wartime info. Loved the war time event with volunteers and visitors dressing up. Lots of hard hitting information handled in a sensitive way and gives a picture of all involved and affected by war. Not just those on the front line. Well worth a visit!

Amazing place! So much so see. Absolutely loved the blitz hut that we were told has not long been finished. Prices are good for what you get to experience. We were here for near on four hours and that was not reading everything! There was so much on offer. The staff were dressed to reflect the era which made a difference too. The Chapel was moving and a lovely thoughtful and respectful touch to remember those caught up in it all. Highly recommended paying Eden a visit. We didn't book and arrived on a Saturday just after opening which was a blessing to be honest as by midday came it became busy. We ate and visited the gift shop which was reasonably priced with a good array of items to purchase, although a lot of items were more suitable for children. The map is a god send to work your way around the sight as you don't want to be going round in circles or revisiting huts you been in or worse still, missing any out.

Fantastic museum for all ages & great value for money!! We spent the whole day there, very interesting with loads of interesting exhibits. Loved the smells that accompanied the exhibits. Good selection of food and drinks, all reasonably priced. Loads of places to sit and rest. All facilities were really clean and well looked after. Highly recommended, will definately visit again.

A great day out, but probably not for young kids who may find it a little boring. It's a fascinating place with lots to see and read with some great looking displays, although a few are in need of some tlc. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the whole place was spotlessly clean and very well looked after. If you want to read as much as possible then leave an entire day free otherwise you won't even get close to reading it all!

My kids absolutely loved the day out at Eden Camp. You need a good 4 or 5 hours to walk around and see the place properly. It has over 25 hangers which are done out with WW2 memorabilia and life like set ups to give you a feeling of what things were like. They also have life like smells as you walk around to give you a better in life experience. Very educational for kids and has an onsite cafe and gift shop

Me and my husband loved it, our children weren't that interested. I think it should be cheaper or even free for under 18s. Very busy when we were there, hard to social distance in the huts as other people were pushing past. Would go again when it was quieter and without the children.

Always awesome to visit! Food and drink a bit expensive but hey, this amazing place needs to stay open. Would take days to read all the literature! Nobody seems to give any love to the exhibits at the entrance?

Recently been on holiday in the area, Eden camp was one of the places we visited with our two children, we all loved it and had a fantastic day, lots of things for the children to look at and explore and lots of learning opportunities for the children. Was lots of school there also when we visited but this didn’t cause any problems as we still had our space to do what we wanted and was disturbed by them. Would definitely visit again.

Amazing museum catering for everyone. If you can go outwith the school holidays it is a bit more 'relaxing' but either way a great day out. So much to see and experience !!!! Lots of picnic tables so packed lunch no problem but large cafe if you prefer to eat in. Everywhere is easily accessible to wheelchairs/ mobility scooters no problem Highly recommend.

Such a fabulously rich and informative experience, particularly for younger people but also quite a harrowing and emotional time for those connected to anyone who may have fought in the war. The layout is easy to navigate, the environment is surprisingly peaceful outdoors and some of the exhibits are fantastic. Highlights were the blitz and the submarine (if you can call them highlights). Wonderful place preserving history we must never forget.

Loved the idea of mini museums which helps give us knowledge about all of the different details during the wars, there’s so much to learn about. The interactive demos are a nice touch. We must’ve spent 4 hours here and didn’t even get to see everything, there’s so much to do. The food was good, the friendly staff wearing clothing of the time contributed to the atmosphere. Will be returning 🙂

I haven't been to Eden camp since I was a child and wow it didn't disappoint! We attended as a family with children aged 11 and 9. Even though smaller children were there I do feel it suited older kids, as the information was in its plenty in the different huts. Favourite hut was 'The blitz' the interactive content was brilliant! We had food at the cafe and it was lovely! Fresh and some of it 'homemade', but there is the option to take your own packed lunches. Plenty of parking spaces and it was the school summer holidays. Nice little gift shop. Will definetly be returning and have been recommending to friends and family.

A very interesting place to visit. Lots to do and to take in, really like the way the huts have been converted to show the history of the war and the people who fought in it. The play sections are a good idea and are suitable for all ages. Food wise there is a good selection of hot and cold snacks and drinks. Try the jam Roly poly and custard! Toilets are well placed and clean and easy to access. Our boy loved the moving gun and the cars and tanks so much he's asked for some for Christmas! All the huts help tell a story of certain aspects of the war, however some should carry an age warning. The blitz one was very good but some smaller children should possibly swerve this.

We have visited before when we took a school party but this was the first time our grandchildren had been. They are aged 6, 11 and 13 so I had my doubts the youngest would like it, but how wrong I was, she loved it! We all had a fabulous day and will definitely come back one day. The canteen is lovely and the food excellent, in particular the pasties. Educational and fun a winning combination to my mind.

I have visited the museum on many occasions over the years which is testimony in itself. I usually attend to coincide with 1940's events as the reenactors add an air of authenticity. On this occasion I attended as part of the Ride Of Honour 2022 (hundreds of motorcycles riding in aid of various military charities) which ended at Eden Camp, with a fantastic welcome upon arrival. A great museum lots to see for all ages. Smashing grub especially the chips and gravy.

Lots of interesting reading if you want or just soak up the atmosphere. Staff helpful and knowledgeable dressed in 40s costumes. Many static exhibits and all set in an old POW camp.

Eden camp, a prison camp built by and for Italian POWs. Each of the huts showcases aspects of WWll, how Britain was affected in everyday life, with atmospheric displays and recreations. It is absolutely worth every penny of the entry fee and if this subject interests you ( and even if it doesn't), it's not to be missed Of course, because we went on a week day, there were school parties there, but the place is big enough to avoid being in the same huts as them if you do wish. I would go again in a heartbeat because there is so much to take in. The lady in the gift shop days it closes soon ( assume a winter break), but when it is open, you must go if you can

A fantastic, educational facility with ours of fun, as well reflect on what was sacrificed by the generations before us. Brilliant staff and volunteers, our children (13 and 8) both loved their visit.

We had a fantastic time at Eden Camp with my family. The staff and volunteers in period outfits and uniforms were fantastic when in character and out. My two kids had great fun and loves their spent souvenir bullet casings. The huts were really surprising as to what was inside and there was a deep level of information for those who wanted it. The tanks and other armoured vehicles were especially exciting for the kids and my youngest loved the halloween treasure hunt. I would definitely recommend coming and we will be returning!

A fantastic place to visit with so many exhibits to see. It immerses you with the sights, sounds and smells of times gone by and is very educational. Personally we’d have liked more of this towards the end of the tour as the last huts are more informative in terms of the written word (and we didn’t have the time to spend reading everything)

Fantastic day out with my daughter. So much information about World War 2, spent around 4 hours here but I think we could've stayed even more! Toilets, mess room hut for picnics, gift shop and café. Vehicle area with tanks (being driven around too!) Really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be going back.

Brilliant destination for the whole family, something for everyone. Took me 5 hours to have really good look around including lunch. Great to get to by car with plenty of parking but I went by public transport, train to Malton then taxi to the camp although could have taken the coastline bus. Each hut is themed with both displays and information. The displays are more of an experience with lighting, sound, and effects very well done. Plenty for the kids to do too. The place manages to blend fun with thoughtfulness, history, and the horrors of a war which we should never forget whilst respecting and honouring the lives of those lost. A not to miss day out.

This is a really good educational venue set in a historic Prisoner of War camp that has been restored and reinvigorated to include other subjects of world war 1 & 2. The staff are really friendly and approachable. We spent a good 4/5 hours here, reading the exhibits and generally taking it all in. There's a large collection of military vehicles and other displays to interact with.

Absolutely fantastic day at Eden Camp museum. Brilliant layout, unlike any museum I have visited before. Wasn't too busy, and the way it's set up kept people moving throughout. Very emotive and informative. Would recommend checking each entry advisory as some may be upsetting for younger children. Clean cafe and toilet facilities. Really friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.

Came here with our junior sea cadets a few weeks ago. The museum has some great history and lots to see and learn, the park and games are great the only downside is there needs to be more interactive parts in the museum displays to keep the younger children more enthusiastic and engaged.. it would have been 5 stars but I think that slightly let's it down...for the older children and adults it's a great leaning experience and good day out, admittion prices are fantastic.

Amazing attraction that really highlights the terrors of the War along with replica and reenactments of several key elements of the War. Each section of Eden Camp is numbered and the idea is that you go through each one in order. I really enjoy each time I come here and the scenarios on show facsinate me a great deal. They also have live demonstrations and a puppet show straight from the 30s. There is also a cafe onsite and a gift shop that is very reasonably priced.

Visited here back on 2013, and the attraction has been updated since then. Digital room and definitely a must see when in this area. Visited the shop where we met one of the owners, really lovely to see a family run business who care about the camp.
