Small but informative museum, with very interesting local artefacts. Fabulous toys, and a fascinating room of all things 'early cinema'. Shoreham was a real hub. Simple layout. Very family friendly. Easy access.

Really enjoyed the Tatty Devine exhibit, but I didn’t have the chance to view the rest of the museum. Would really recommend.

We thought this would kill half an hour or so during the big storm but we ended up staying a couple of hours - entry is donation and there are loads of bits for kids to do.

Totally ridicules that the best, most precious item (The amber Cup) in the collection has been stolen for profit by the Brighton museum - shamless profiteering of an item found in Hove that should stay in Hove, where anyone could see it for free, but greed has obviously taken precedent over leaving it in its rightful place.

Nice little free museum with friendly staff. The weirdest museum I have ever visited. It seemed good for children but many parts were quite creepy. The natural history and cinema parts were very informative and fascinating. Might want to skip this one if you are not fond of old dolls.

Most excellent museum The history of film section is superb, many local film makers in the late 1800's lived and made films in Brighton and Hove

What a lovely little Museum. Can't imagine why we haven't been before, having lived nearby for so many years. There's a wonderful Japanese woodcut Exhibition on at the moment which is really worth the trip.

Never been to Hove Museum before and it's ok, there could be a lot more to see but the bits worth seeing were the film and camera history, the local history section and the wizards attic, it's free so can't complain really, also there's a little surprise in the lift.

Great museum and lots of information of the local area. I was specifically impressed with the children's area. It's a shame there were a few broken things that looks like they could be easily replaceable. Otherwise, this free location is a great place to hide away with the family on a rainy day

Went to the exhibition of Japanese woodcut prints, August 2023. Amazing, beautiful artworks, well presented. Alas the exhibition has ended now, but if it ever comes back, go and have a look.

Free museum, very cute with children's area for art and craft activity, an old toy section, art section, a small cinema with 3 short films, just watched one. Museum just takes donations which are well deserved, kids were very happy to spend some time there

This is a lovely museum, which is child friendly. Although a small museum it has great exhibitions. Particularly liked the photo and film gallery and the Toy one. Would recommend!

I love this museum and its delightful quirkiness. It has great little exhibitions that you don't see anywhere else. The staff are really welcoming and knowledgeable. It's such a shame that it lost the lovely tea room. Please bring it back!

This place is quite a gem very lovely art no aircraft from the 19th century though, seen as it’s a museum I would have assumed they’d have some but to my surprise they did not.

Enjoyable and interesting in a low-key lazy Sunday kind of way. Possibly beginning to show the council's increasingly tight budget these days so go visit and show your support.

Very interesting on the early days of the film industry and cinema. Nice staff. Free but a donation is appreciated. Area for kids to draw.

Great free space Building with interest But on the day we visited where was lights off on the first floor which made it hard to see in the children toys rooms and art works rooms But overall it's a great experience

Its free, there is a coffee shop, arts and craft activities, the toy gallery and old film with mini cinema are great and staff are lovely aswell.

👍👍 Fantastic. So unusual and loved by adults and children alike. Staffed and owned by train enthusiasts, this fabulous railway is a real delight. Over 600m of small gauge track, and a brilliant selection of colourful locomotives - all for a pound. See website for opening times.
