We had a great fun in this place. You can climb a few levels on a ladder to reach the top of Windmill. Very nice view from there. It's a small science museum with decent experiments. Also you can visit a small garden. It's a free entrance. Worth to visit

Love this place. Excellent playground, generally quite underused. The windmill itself is cool, as is the tiny science museum attached to it. We easily spent 2 hours there, and the kids were begging to stay longer. The only criticism Id make is that it's really inaccessible - the mill itself, which is fair, but also just going up from the playground to the cafe/museum/toilets is difficult with a pram or a wheelchair.

Centuries old windmill (restored in 1947 after a fire) is still active today. Friendly hard-working millers operate and explain the functions and operations of machinery. Wasn't a busy place. Nice and cosy cafe and a back garden. All accessible free of charge. Even parking at designated car park was free. You can climb right through to the top. The exterior and interior are beautifully and classically restored and managed. A must visit if you are in Nottingham.

Green's Windmill is a lovely patch of green space in the heart of the city centre. There is a great play area at the foot of the mill and behind the mill is a wonderful community garden which is hidden away. The mill has a lot of history and is great for looking around. Sadly at the time of writing this review the sails are being repaired and the windmill is not operating. When it does the shop sells flour from the mill. A great place to visit.

Recently did group baking session here for around 10 adults, and whilst they don't often do adult groups, it was executed perfectly. They bulked up the ingredient portions and there was plenty (my pizza ended up being 2 meals), despite our ticket prices not changing! Plus they catered for dietary requirements well. We got a fab tour of the windmill and enjoyed looking round the science centre and the garden as well. The whole team there are excellent, thanks for making our visit great!

Amazing place to visit with friends visiting Nottingham or just a family trip. It was sad to hear there are issues with funding for repair, so windmil is currently (28.5.2023) without sails, and they probably don't go up until next year. It is worth making a donation £5. To help preserve this beautiful still functional windmill. Volunteers are always friendly, they have got a good selection of hot drinks to fuel a family bike trip.

I recently visited Green's Windmill and Science Centre together with my daughter and her baby son. We really enjoyed the experience and quickly became fully immersed in all the activities in both the windmill and the science centre. I am over 70 years of age but found no problem climbing the laddered steps to the top of the windmill and my daughter, an active young mum, also found the steps no restriction to her and her baby son. We had an enjoyable couple of hours. The helpers were all friendly and we had an interesting chat with Eddy who answered all and any questions we presented him with. We would highly recommend a visit to all ages. We found it both very interesting and fun.

Excellent. Can see views from the top of windmill. Lots of educational stuff. Good park. The parking was ridiculous, as there was a fault stopping it register. Not just me. Others there had same issue. Although parking is free for two hours you still have to register. Needs to be sorted by the council ASAP.

The place is great for kids and you can climb up learning about the windmill and what it does at which stages. Great kids play area for development and there is a park for kids too to play. Super for families to go to.

It's beautiful 😍. It's amazing to see how the trust have maintained the heritage of 'Green's'. The small science museum for kids is quiet amazing as well.

Once arrived remember to purchase the ticket in case you came by car . This can be done through the website or by phone call. There aren’t many visitors lucky, so it’s easy to find a parking spot. The place itself it’s kinda magical, a Harry Potter kind of atmosphere. Staffs are kind , one can purchase souvenirs. The park offers also a panoramic view of the city which is nice especially during sunny days for a walk alone or with someone. Will deffo visit again.

Brilliant little FREE half day activity with family of many ages, reasonable fitness required to make it through the whole experience as the most impressive bit is the climb to the top of the working flour wind mill. May not be operating when you visit.

Free to visit. Close to Nottingham city centre, take bus 43 to here. It has a working windmill and a educational centre. Toilet is available.

Had a lovely time with my grandchildren. It's free to look round, has a very good community garden and playground. School holidays so a bakery event every day. It was scone baking when we went, cost £4, they enjoyed it and I got some delicious scones!

We visited the Mill on Saturday. Free parking, set in a small park with wonderful views over Nottingham. The windmill was turning which was wonderful. There is a lovely community garden behind the mill which is well worth a wander around. The science museum section is well set out. Flour is on sale. There's a good selection in various size bags. Well worth a visit

A very unique and interesting place, located on a hill in Sneinton about a 20 minute walk from the city centre, the windmill is in full operation and you can buy bread flour, I went on a particularly windy day and it was very impressive to see the windmill in full swing. Also you get nice views of Nottingham City from this location.

A quiet and peaceful place that's worth the visit. The windmill itself has quite a bit of history. There's a small museum with fun science activities for kids. Also has a nice playground for kids.

Getting here is an adventure of sorts as it is quite the walk up a hill. I am able to do it without issues. However, my 5 year old daughter struggled a bit. I needed to carry her up. If you plan on coming here, you should drive, arrange a ride or take a bus. We were greeted in the science centre area and given a brief explanation of the facilities. There are many levels to the windmill. My daughter didn't want to climb all the stairs, much to my chagrin, but seeing as I didn't want to leave her on her own, I didn't get to see the top level of the windmill. The view outside the windows on the lower levels is still something to behold. The science centre is on the small side. But there are still exhibits that held my daughter's attention for more than a minute.
