Absolutely beautiful place to visit with matching stunning views in all directions, very clean and tidy with easy access and plenty of parking. A place that is great to have a picnic or simply sit and enjoy watching the world go by. Everytine I visit Shipley Glen it never seizes to amaze me. Strongly reccommend everyone visits.

Lovely and well kept natural area with a cafe and pub at the top for refreshments. Cafe only takes cash so plan accordingly. Very dog friendly

Wooded valley with many pathways and stream down the middle. Could probably go back several times before exploring the whole Glen. Busy but not surprising as on the doorstep of a number of towns north of Bradford. Lots of Oaks and silver birch trees and a small resivour toward the end of the woods. Recommend decent walking or welly boots as muddy. Also quite rock with lots of exposed limestone. Would recommend if in the area.

Me and my mate loved this place when we were kids, so we thought it was time to introduce our kids to it. They loved all the rocks, the woodland areas, all the sights and sounds this place has to offer. Very well looked after and respected by the public.

Depends on the weather, and the quality of photographs you can get. I was looking for what westerners call authentic England weather. Walked from Abby Lodge in Shipley and it was a short walk. Many trails and dogs are welcome. If you are visiting remember there is a tram that only runs on Sundays. (Shipley Glen Tram).

Great place to walk and breathe in the fresh air. Many dog walkers on the day of my visit but plenty of room to social distance. Will have to come again for more real English countryside.

Great views, lovely walk. Easy or make it longer. Clears the cobwebs. Easy to get to. On road parking. Get busy in good weather. Pub and cafe. Ice cream van usually there.

We really enjoyed our visit here. We used the cable car as a bit of fun and enjoyed the short ride up and down. (£5 return for two adults). A good walk around the moorland at the top. We were lucky to witness a peddle trials competition whilst we visited at Shipley Glenn Quary. Very skilled competitors. Well worth a visit.

I usually go cycling in this area, has some fantastic views from the top of Baildon, it's also a good place to walk dogs and on a nice day have a picnic, I do love going up there even in winter.

Shipley Glen is a great place for dog walking and getting some fresh air. Set in the lovely surroundings of Basildon, you can walk up to the Trigg point where you can see (on a clear day) Leeds, Hull, Hawksworth, Queensbury, Halifax. You can walk into the woods, where there is a lovely stream at the bottom, my dog loves a dip in it! Great wildlife too if your lucky. I've seen a Heron, a Kingfisher and deer.

Amazing location, fantastic geomorphology. A shirt walk up the Dobrudden caravan site to see lots of neolithic artwork. See photos.

Wear good walking shoes as the ground is very uneven. There's tea rooms that sell snacks etc and a pub just before you get onto the Glen. Very nice place to visit with different walking routes.
