My first time visiting Blackpool shopping centre and absolutely loved it. The shopping centre and area is huge. So many shops and restaurants all around. You are spoilt for choice. I was down to see the Blackpool tower for the day. But ventured around. I will be visiting again in the next coming weeks. 10 out of 10

This is the best place to not only shop in Blackpool but to park aswell. The Houndshill carpark is a multistorey that then gets you into the shopping centre and nearby shops. The Houndshill has all the big hitter shops and then takes you out into the rest off the shops aswell as the dungeons and entrance to Blackpool Tower. Parking is reasonable and access to shops is perfect

Quite a good shopping centre from what we could see on our visit yesterday- we only visited to use the toilets and they were clean. Car park is 5 storeys with plenty of spaces and fair charges. Plenty of shops available and different places to eat. Would return if in the area again.

99% of the shops still open after the COVID pandemic & new shops are been built. Very clean. Security very good, so shop lifters don't bother coming. Disabled access brilliant.

Decent place to shop within a short walk of the promenade. Lots of staple high street stores and more. Clean and well maintained despite probably getting a lot of foot traffic because of where it is.

Very good shopping centre and well worth a visit plenty of shops to visit with a lot of choice and items that most people will like. Along with its location it's a lovely place to visit and look around,

Wonderfully clean and tidy. Staff are very helpful and polite. The only criticism of the whole place is Burger King. Its absolutely minging , dirty floors, tables and windows. Greasy seats made me sit on a carrier bag. I challenge anyone to find a dirtier place in blackpool

Nice place to shop for all kind of stuff from clothes to old coins, perfumes, shoes , etc. Offers a variety of shops to choose from. It also features a food court , where you can grab a quick bite if hungry , even tho there aren't many restaurants. The place is clean and is usually not too crowded

Houndshill has loads of different shops inside of it from clothes to toys to food to phones.. the place is always clean and very welcoming into different shops. All the staff members are very inviting and answer any questions that u may have. Not that expensive but u probably would spend a lot here if u spend the full day just in this place.. I would recommend as its really clean and tidy everyone is nice and polite and there is loads of shops :)

Food Court shouldn't be called a food court if theres only 1 food place in it, just rename it to Burger King :o, There was plenty of room in there to easily fit another 2 or 3 food outlets up there to make it a actual food court. The food court was also very dirty, toilets very dirty and smelly, and the shopping centre itself is very tiny like i was shocked when i walked from one end to the other and realised i was outside, literally the smallest shopping centre ever, your car park is bigger than the centre itself. A lot of stores werent in use or open, which is fair enough because of how the economy is lately. But surely you can find some new tenants with a better term business such as the one bolton council employs, where instead of rent they take a portion of profit of the business. This is better for small businesses to survive and thrive. Please make this mall into what it should be and expand it, if you can't expand sideways build upwards very easy.

Lovely big airy shopping centre , something like 55 shops I believe, plenty of choice, clothing, sports, newsagents , confectionery and many more . Easy access via lifts and escalators to the other floors. Plenty of eating places and good toilet facilities. Seats throughout the centre. Good extensive parking outside , easy to reach with several doors into the centre from all sides of Blackpool .

Shopping Centre is very nice with a wide variety of shops. The gents loo's weren't the best. There was a cleaner stood outside with bucket, so was surprised to find first toilet blocked, second had loo paper all over the floor, out of 3 hand dryers only one was working. Went to report it to her but she had gone.

All the major retailers you need, such as Primark, plus good places to eat at, free toilets, comfy seats and the Centre is kept clean. I like the events that they put on during the first Saturday of the month as well. Today they had a Wildlife day which Sealife down the road helped out with and it was popular with the kids which was nice to see. They even had a guy dressed as a Shark walking around which was quite funny. Always like a walk through the Houndy.

Lots of building work going on in and around the Houndshill shopping centre! It was hard work to get in and extremely hard work to get out! Cars queuing on all ramps and roads in the car park from the 4th floor, no one allows you to exit your space to join the queue to get out of the car park. Must have taken nearly an hour to get out! The price wasn't too bad to be fair, but I would definitely park somewhere else whilst all the roadworks and building work is going on causing congestion! The actual shopping centre itself is great once you're in, good variety of shops, clean and spacious! Worth a visit if you're in Blackpool shopping!

Never been in this shopping mall before. I was pleasantly surprised. Good variety of shops. Very clean, spacious. Great car park attached. Which I purposely aimed for as I was going to an event at the Opera house in the Winter Gardens. Toilets very clean and easy accessible. Enjoyed my visit.

Used to work in here and visited all my life. Some improvements made recently with the new Sports Direct and GAME. Nice clothing outlets inside and updated, classier interior compared to the old store. Houndshill itself has an average selection of stores if not less than average. Not as good as even Fishergate Preston are for Indoor shopping. Toilets in houndshill and the Burger King are the worst area, inhumane food and service, and awkward toilet placement. Needs better stores, replacement for Burger King and more decoration.

Restrictions in place due to Covid19. I wasnt allowed to enter Primark via Houndshill entrance, it was blocked off with baskets. Security wanted me to walk a long way around to the outside door. I didn't bother and went to Debenhams.

What a joke Primark entrance inside is closed due to corona so you force more people into a bottleneck at the front door how does that help stop the spread of infection? Whoever decided that is deluded are you on spice? All the toilets are currently closed due to corona forcing the public into a bottleneck using the next nearest 1's the management don't really know how to keep the public safe by taking this action well it will save on paying the cleaners so there is a money saving for the company & when it's closing time you have a ridiculous walk to get to the car park entrance what good is that for people with a disability it's shameful not keeping up with the needs of the public.

In the last two weeks my husband & myself have visited the Houndshill Shopping Centre, Blackpool, where there are a number of Covid-19 safety measures in place. Every shop is following Government Procedures apart from one concerning shop keeper, who runs "The Cell Phone Repair Shop." On three separate occasions the same shopkeeper has refused to wear any kind of face covering, infact, he became quite abusive when we approached him. We asked a Security Guard to help with this only to be told it was his first day back at work, then he ran into a shop & hid from us! Only one Security Guard has actually approached this shop keeper telling him to wear a face mask, which he did for around ten minutes. Considering we are in a "High Risk Area," this shop keeper is behaving dangerously. After contacting the Manager of the Houndshill Shopping Centre recently, I was informed this was an ongoing case??? Out with this situation, there is a wide range of shops to suit everyone good all ages....these include; Debenhams, New Look, Next, River Island, The Fragrance Shop, Pandora, Iconic, Menkind, Mrs. Simm's Old Sweet Shop, Deichmann Shoes, Primark, EE Mobile Phone Shop, Warren James, Disney Store, J.D Sport, Superdrug, Trespass, Timpsons, John Nelson Shoes, Mobile Phone Shop, Ampero, Three Mobile Phone Shop, Build-A-Bear Workshop, A Gift Store, A Stationary Store, Boots, Claire's, The Perfume Shop. Eateries include; Ground Level; Millie's Cookies, Cafe Nero First Floor; Burger King British Cafe. The Houndshill Shopping Centre Opening Times are as follows; Monday 9am-5:30pm Tuesday 9am-5:30pm Wednesday 9am-5:300m Thursday 9am-5:30pm Friday 9am-5:30pm Saturday 9am-5:30pm Sunday 10:30m-4pm. A large Multistorey Car Park is situated within the centre with 770. This includes; Disabled Parent & Toddler Electric Charging Points. A Car Washing Service is on offer on the first Floor. The Car Park are as follows; Monday 8am-11:30pm Tuesday 8am-11:30pm Wednesday 8am-11:30pm Thursday 8am-11:30pm Friday 8am-11:30pm Saturday 8am-11:30pm Sunday 8am-11:30pm. There are two lifts to all floors or stairs if you would prefer.

Run off the mill shopping centre, with stupid covid rules still in place. Toilets that are a disgrace for the volume of people and quiet dirty or in disrepair. What I found weird was the Toilets were right beside the food services, when logically they should have been ground floor where the shops were located. The infirmed had to use a lift which took for ever to appear, and one at a time advised. Boris had said things were back to normal, but not in Blackpool, or anyplace for that matter. I was on a coach trip the other week when although mostly oaps, vaccinated etc. 2 passengers got off the coach because we weren't wearing masks. This shopping centre didn't mind that although they did have warnings up to say we had too. Anyway it was OK and I managed the Toilets but men queuing for wc is rare

  • 5/5 Melanie S. 2 years ago on Google

Impossible to get out of when busy. Spent more time trying to leave the carpark than we did walking around Blackpool or felt like that, it was like a rave in that carpark alot of noise, honking and way to many people crammed up in a little space. I guess this was due to fireworks so my review is based on that should I ever visit again I might alter the review or maybe I'm still there now waiting to get out who knows?

Like many town centres, including my local one, Houndshill is heavily affected by the loss of it anchor store Debenhams, is future viability rooted in the centre expansion with the new anchor store. Nevertheless, it has held onto many other shops, including Next and Waterstones, holding on to that buzz. It's car park is so tight it is my most feared I've ever used.

A few shops are still open but it’s not like it was back in the day. Would probably avoid Blackpool for shopping as so much better elsewhere or online. I know we should support highstreet shops but can see why we have issues doing so.

No security and kids in groups on bikes or electric scooters in the middle of the inside areas. Not very clean or inviting area to eat at the food Hall area. Needs to be managed better for people to want to visit. Preston indoor shopping area is a good benchmark for Blackpool to aim for at present there looking at chav kids play area which if not sorted will turn into a no go area for visitors and shoppers

It can be crowded at times but the shopping experience is good. Plenty of top of the range outlets to visit, great during the sales.

Just a shopping centre with wide variety of products... The food hall means one single burger king. Public toilets are open. Cheaper than other cities.

  • 5/5 Leigh P. 2 years ago on Google
Often busy. Good spread of shops. Toilets clean though I don't understand why there is an escalator up to them but not one down unless I didn't spot it. Centre is clean and seems well managed.

Good shopping centre with a wide selection of shops. Great food court with good selection of restaurants Kept clean and tidy Within walking distance of town centre

Good selection of shops, toilets, lifts and separate eating area make this a reasonable shopping centre. My only moan is lack of phone signal and Internet signal depending where you are standing. I only say this because I use video calling when I am purchasing gifts/items to make sure I'm buying the correct item/colour/size. Great place to visit if the Blackpool weather is bad as this is all indoor.

Mostly pass through here visiting somewhere else. The odd shop is a gem but mostly needs a massive cash boost and some high quality big name brands to move in. Mostly like the rest of the town of my birth.

Good selection of a few shops... food court upstairs could do with being cleaned up. Says 'food court' but there's just a burger king there that's dingy looking and needs cleaning. There was food wrappers everywhere and tables were dirty. Shops were good, some clothes shops, gadget shops, memorabilia and an old style sweet shop which seemed pretty popular too.

Nice to nip into on a cold day. Not a pleasure dome for me then I am not a big shopper. I am sure shoppers like the place. Warm and clean but not much choice of food available. Probably due to high rents. I wish them a good future for the sake of shoppers.

Managed to bag myself some wonderful boots for the winter plus some amazing bits and pieces , ìt's not that often I can go out and get almost everything that I need. Well done houndshill shopping centre.

Great choice of shops to look at especially if you have young children. We spent a fortune! Always kept clean and plenty of facilities.

Great shopping centre. It has some good shops, my personal favourite is the sweet shop. A little pricey but has a lot of vintage sweets.

Fairly small with very limited food court. More toilets need to be opened in there. More dining options need to be introduced.

Only walked through the shopping centre. So cannot give a true review. Plenty of units with well known brands. Well worth a shop or mooch if your in the area.

Decent shopping centre in the heart of Blackpool City centre. You can park here too prices upto £12 for 24 hours. Car park is open from 8am to 11pm daily. I paid £9 for 8 hours. Continent if shopping and want to drop bags back at car etc. Minutes to walk from here to popular attractions such as Blackpool Tower, dungeons, sea life and coral Island.

Large shopping centre lots of great shops. Also fantastic places to eat. Really great lighting. Clean toilet facilities. Will definitely be shopping there again

Still a good selection of shops. Food court is good. Good wheelchair access, although lifts small and very busy. Easy to spend money there ! 🙂

Good range of shops and outlets in this modern covered shopping centre which has numerous entrances / exits to the shopping streets in the centre of Blackpool. A huge carpark which seems to have reasonable charges. On an upper level is a food / cafe area which we didn't visit on this occasion. Our visit was slightly marred by some youths riding about on bicycles shouting and causing a nuisance.

It's an OK shopping centre. Nice to see a few new shops, such as Sketchers. They will improve hugely when the old Debenhams gets taken over as it's the flagship store.

  • 4/5 Andy W. 1 year ago on Google
Pretty chaotic, as most shopping centres are when sales are on . Good selection of shops , I cannot rate the staff I as I did not see one member . Public areas are all clean which is great , no one wants to see litter strewn about

Early shopping in town with my partner, popped in and we are now the proud parents of another bear. All the usual fun of selecting growl, heartbeat, and filling in their birth certificate.Just a really pleasant half an hour.

Pleasantly surprised at how big the shopping centre is and how clean and bright , plenty of shops to browse .

Great place. Not very big but I prefer this to a big shopping centre. Less stress

Haven't been for a few years, so there has been some changes, old shops replaced by new ones. Still plenty of bargains to attract shoppers had to come out of one shop so I didn't get tempted to buy clothes I didn't need.

The place is too big for partially disabled people to walk. We had to get to Shoe zone which was a real struggle to get to. We needed to exchange some shoes which we had bought online which were the wrong size. We parked in the multi-storey car park. £2.70 for 20 minutes. Won't be doing it again.

Good shopping place with a number of shops. Food court is only really burger King and toilets and not anything else. There are good shops and cafes close by. Good place to visit when visiting Blackpool with a lot of security.

Love this shopping centre, something for everybody, so far always felt safe and people really friendly

  • 5/5 Brenda S. 10 months ago on Google
It's a big complex, there are a few entrances & exits and you can easily lose your way. Plenty of shops to browse.

  • 3/5 Peter P. 9 months ago on Google
This place used to be brilliant. It was one of the best places to shop in Blackpool, but now, due to the council hiking up the shops rents, there are a lot of empty, closed units. A lot of the main big-name shops have gone, but the upside is that they've been replaced by other big-name shops. The downside is that these shops only stay for a season or 2 before they go and then are replaced again. Generally, it's just like a roundabout of changing shops.

Good centre with a huge amount of shops. You will find anything you need in this center. Lovely inside, very clean and bright. Would definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone visiting Blackpool.

  • 4/5 Jacqueline T. 9 months ago on Google
Not a bad shopping centre on one floor, good selection of shops and cafés, disappointed with the food hall upstairs, it was only a Burger King up there, not what I call a food hall. But it's great to look around the shops on the ground floor a few boutiques there too.

Was in a dire desperate need of a poo and glided up the escalator to the food court full of eager eaters and shuffled sideways to the adjacent toilets. You really don't need to know anything more about my time in the toilet, afterwards I was able to appreciate the diverse collection of shops that you can expect to find in a modern shopping complex.

Lacking in inspiration. Drab, run down place with a very basic, bottom of the pile choice of store. Let's hope cafe nero doesn't up sticks and relocate, as it's the only thing worth visiting once you have had the ordeal of being dragged about an awful town centre, especially when the wind blows. 😳

Very good variation of shops, very clean and tidy. Well lit. Staff within shops very very helpful and happy to recommend others within complex and around and about. Shops within have a good range of stock, friendly and helpful staff. Would have given a 5 but P.A system kept saying there was an incident and may have to evacuate complex but no reasons given or timeframe. So that put us off a little, either evacuate or leave announcement till there is a need to. Don't know about others but left me and wife on tenterhooks whether to carry on shopping or not. All in all though it's a great place, and even in the heat cool air flowing through.

The shopping centre itself was clean and very spacious. The one big downside was the size of the lift. It was tiny. I could only just get my wheelchair in, I can't see a double pram fitting.
