This mall is just below average, with classic stores that give it the appearance of a 90s-style shopping center. It's a decent place to hang out on cold and rainy days. Some parts of the mall are abandoned, and you'll need to pay to use the restrooms. However, the mall's management should take appropriate action to revitalize the business rather than letting it decline.

Nice place to shop.. Has all kinds of things in it.. Great place for sight seeing too.. It has the one pound shop, McDonald's, KFC, aldi and others.. it has a paid car park, also the train station by the side that connects you to many cities.. Manchester, Newcastle etc..

The food hall isn't bad but the place does feel a little dated,up stairs is mainly market stall type shops selling cheap rip offs. If you are after the real deal then these shops are not going to be for you but if you are looking for a bargain and quality isn't a priority then there will be something here for you. The lower floor is mostly taken up by the food hall although there are a few shops that are more like the real thing. One of them places that probably splits opinions a bit.

Great shopping centre, lovely people, as usual the Liverpudlian people always ready to help and greet you with a smile, the food court is a must, thank you to the Scousers for a great 4 day break. Good tip put you comfy clogs on 👍🏻😁

Not worth the energy walking around to spend your money. Unimpressed with liverpool city council effort to attract customers. If only one member of the council gave 1 year of there £140,000 wages to advertise this centre to improve facilities and shops , rather than pushing other retail parks with investment . With a little envelope from new investors, to be honest it's disgraceful .

Pretty good arcade now to what I remember of it in the 80's. All the shops you need. Great food hall. Whole place is very clean.

I hadn't been here for many years. It's not what it used to be which is very sad. Unfortunately probably a sign of the times. I feel for the businesses there, especially the smaller ones, as they are trying their best to make a go of it. I really do wish them the best of luck.

I used to love St John's Shopping Centre but it's just gone down hill. Food court is great for easy lunch with kids and you've got the classics like Wilkos and Home & Bargain (not home bargains...like I'm constantly corrected by the non scousers I work with...proof below) be good to get more shops in St John's and do something with that Market, such a good space that is under utilised, loads you could fill that up with.

This is a very busy shopping centre with a great variety of shops. It is just a stones throw from the train station and right on top of the bus station. The theatre is also just off one of the many entrances. Situated right in the heart of the city centre makes it an ideal place to shop. There are plenty of places to get something to eat and of course there is Wetherspoons where you can drop off the husband so he can’t see how much you’re spending.

Love all the shops in St John's, but considering they make you pay to use the toilets, they weren't very clean. Could maybe do with hiring a cleaner rather than a guy to stand there taking 20p off you for a basic human need.

A decent array of shops. Disabled toilets 🚻 were not accessible. When I asked a member of inwas told " people use a key" I asked where do I get one as I was only a visitor to the city. I was let in rather begrudgingly and told to ensure it was locked when I was finished. Rather embarrassing and condescending to say the least. Come on guys do better for your disabled visitors.

I went up the Radio Tower in February this year The staff were very welcoming and informative on my arrival we went up in the lift to yhe viewing platform The view was absolutely amazing you can see the whole of Liverpool from different directions It was an amazing experience I highly recommend this to others it only cost £7.50 and i was up there for an hour i hope to go back one day and get a snowy view

One of the landmarks of Liverpool City centre. Plenty of shops for shopping enthusiasts and some stalls in the corridors. There are few eateries and fast food joints inside this shopping centre. I must admit that some parts of this shopping centre needs major refurbishment. Overall, a good place for routine shopping under one roof 👌

Great shopping centre with good car parking at a reasonable price. Some shops have been here for many years but new ones are great too. There is everything here, shoes, sports, clothes, toys etc, even a nail bar and cafe.

  • 2/5 Dar . 2 months ago on Google • 55 reviews New
It's handy place to go to for a specific things, like perfumes and quick shopping. Some shops are completely from a different planet there with prize tags on their stuff. A lot of homeless people begging around and smell of weed often accompanied around the building. Not the best place to go with kids that's for sure.

  • 4/5 Andy W. 4 years ago on Google
Ever changing with new and exciting shops. Clean and bright. The food court is fantastic couldn't fit any more restaurants in there if you try. Definitely worth a look ?

I am enamoured of the KFC chicken there. I miss the fishmongers. The stores that sold odd bits and bobs. Things are too expensive now. There's only room for chain stores. I find that sad.

Now that the centre and carpark is up and running l'm sure must people will be happy to get thier shopping needs catered for, even if you just fancy a break from lockdown to catch up and grab a bite to eat along the way, stay safe y'all ?

St John's shopping center is a very Large shopping Centre that holds many happy memories for me. sadly today it bears no resemblance to the once busy lively stalls and the Many Traders shouting out the Bargains of the day there are many stores and a few cafes . The center piece of any market the fresh meat fruit and Vegetables .all trying to undercut one another just isn't there now there are a few butchers .I used to love the home made Bakery the smell of hot bread and cakes would draw you in and fresh scones .the fish mongers etc . There is a Large car park above . And the upstairs is a new council building where you can visit the many different departments of the council including council tax queries still worth a visit if you're in The City Center

  • 5/5 Ron P. 2 years ago on Google
Great place, food Hall now so small and the rest of the market was very small. Not as I remembered it Sign of the times or, needs some way to attract new business in, which is difficult . Could be an opportunity for child's clothing vintage clothing, clothing swap. Don't know the rentals etc., but if the market wants to attract new sellers they need to be very flexible whilst taking into account the current occupants.

  • 4/5 Willi R E. 2 years ago on Google
Many food retailers, brand named retail clothing shops. Electronics shops, mobile phone shops, hairdressers, ear piercing, waxing, Supermarkets, public areas Multicultural and at the moment of this review discounted prices across the board. One note, do not accept the first shops offer as the prices vary vastly as the competition for custom is high. There is one retailer at the back almost hidden with very fashionable clothing at very good prices. One continuing irrationality I get lost every time I go into this place

  • 5/5 Inderpal S. 2 years ago on Google
Great place to shop anything just opposite the Train station. Made it really easy for us and people traveling by train. Big spacious food court with variety of food chains. You can find everything here from small businesses to bigger brands. And the best thing was the Liverpool FC shop on the 1st floor.

Used to meet up here as a kid. So much is still the same but it is now so much better. Food court is great hopefully see more businesses getting in there as it would be a shame to lose the atmosphere of one of my favourite places in Liverpool City centre.

Not really an attractive shopping centre in the centre of Liverpool. A genuine pity, as the feel it gives to the city isn't really up to the city beauty. The city government should try to offer incentive for stores to upgrade their place or simply improve general interior design of the shopping centre and make it more beautiful. This place could really be a beautiful attractive shopping centre in town if it was well cared for.

  • 3/5 Karl C. 2 years ago on Google
Nice shopping precinct. The disappointment is the local St.John's radio station - it's too loud and staff in the food court are having to shout out numbered food orders - it defeats the purpose of wearing facemasks in these difficult times. The music is suppose to convey relaxation and kept in the background - not take over the art of conversation.

  • 3/5 Martin B. 2 years ago on Google
Usually always packed, shops are ok if you just want to buy clothes mainly, 20p to use the loo, ripoff, should be free, lots of people only have card and no cash so you'd buggered if you need the loo.

  • 2/5 RED CAP B. 2 years ago on Google
I entered to go Trespass. I got what I wanted and exited trespass. I then proceed to the toilets as I had a large suitcase and a big hiking backpack and a Primark bag all this I had already lugged over hills miles quite literally from Bangor. This meant I just wanted some KFC and to relieve myself in the male toilets but what do I know there is a big security guard guarding the toilets. Entry 20p since it is a shopping centre and I had spent and was going to spend more I was apolled at this. So I made a comment then lugged all my stuff about 500m to another KFC outside your centre where they generously allowed me to go free of charge. I don't think shopping centres should charge for toilets as you want to create a welcoming environment that people can stay in and spend but for me this toilet charge policy ruined that and we both lost put. Hopefully next time I come this will no longer be the case.

St johns fine no problems but be aware of q-parking we had been at the theatre royal went back to pay for parking which cost us 8£ went straight to car and down to exit barrier put ticket in machine an the screen showed we had paid an to proceed thro barrier but the barrier didn't lift so after messing to reverse to go to next exit barrier we put our ticket in again an it charged us another £2 at the machine we have to day contacted q-parking who informed us because they charge by the hour we had apparently gone into the next hour while we had been messing at the broken barrier

Pretty good for an arrange of shopping from sweets to nail extensions. Good if you want to get away from the bad weather. There's a food court and indoor market too.

A lot of the shops are aimed at younger people, but the shops are cheap and worth a nose. Decent food court as well if you want a fast food snack. Market could do with improvement.

Passed through only, did not think it was clean, some lamps were not working, spots of chewing gum on the floor, window cills at shop fronts dusty if it's the renters responsibility to clean the outside of their shops then its in the lease and should be enforced rigorously.

It's a lovely little dog friendly pub. Just in the right area next to Sankey Valley park. Ideal for a spot of lunch or a coffee after a long dog walk. ☕🍺👍🏼🤗

Travelled back down Memory lane. The shops here are cheap as chips. However, those boutiques sell some real schmatter and tat. I only went in to buy stuff from the pound bakery and to visit the new agey crystal market store.

A nostalgic fest of a building. The decor takes me back to my childhood with some decent independent stores.

If your on a budget. This is a place with a visit , we're always surprised on the shopping experience here. Good shops for just about everything you would want plenty of food on offer at a reasonable price All in all worth a visit every time

Big place on multiple floors that has a wide range of shops from top high street chains to small independent retailers and a market hall with is also very good clean and tidy with escalators and lifts to get you to the multiple floors and the toilets are very clean and attended to by a very responsive cleaning team good shopping centre

Lovely friendly people who go out of their way to be helpful. There's a little cafe upstairs by the entrance to the market. Which is especially good and a friendly nice service too !

I use this shopping center once in a while, however it’s a little nice Centre with lots of convenient shops and food areas. The car park is a plus too. I use the car parks anytime I need to go to Liverpool city Centre.

Nice to see a shopping centre with shops that are open and not boarded over. This centre hold some unique fashion for all

Lots of shops and pop up stands/shops to browse through and very local to plenty of bus stops to get to and from town to other parts of the city. Very busy and not many people (if any) wearing masks in such a busy place but I guess nowadays it's personal preference if someone wants to wear a mask or not, otherwise great place to go if you are wanting to have a browse

After the pandemic restrictions, it was good to go back but some favourites have shut and disappeared. It still has much to offer; huge Home Bargains on the top floor along with Wilkos. It felt...different but it's still vibrant.

  • 4/5 Eddy A. 1 year ago on Google
I visited for the well stocked Wilco and lunch in the food hall where there is a McDonald's, KFC, plus others and the noodle box which I visited. Very good value. The centre has a wide choice of shops including fashion, footwear, and others.

This was an ok place to be honest when going in I thought it would be better it seems a bit run down not many good shops they are mostly woman shops and they all seemed a bit tacky. The food court was the best bit had lots of food options and lots of seating and seemed clean.

I recently visited the St. Johns Shopping Center and was blown away by the variety of stores and the overall shopping experience. The mall is clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, with a wide range of stores to choose from. The staff at the mall were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and made my visit that much more enjoyable. Whether I needed directions to a specific store or recommendations for a gift, they were always happy to assist. In addition to the great selection of stores, the St. Johns Shopping Center also has a food court with a variety of tasty options for a quick bite to eat. The seating area is comfortable and clean, making it a great place to rest and recharge during a long day of shopping. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the St. Johns Shopping Center and would give it a five-star rating. I highly recommend visiting this mall for a enjoyable and stress-free shopping experience.

I love this place. Loads of shops and food choices. I often come shop here just to stay out of the bad weather. I can spend a while day nosing around

  • 3/5 Maggie 1 year ago on Google
Pretty nice place i guess, not a big fan of the shops to be honest, mostly just boring womens clothes that are really small sizes ignoring the fact people dont have to be really skinny to wear nice clothes, very unefficent and annoying. The places to eat are nice: mcdonalds, subway and more, the eating area is efficent all close together to see most of the options of what you want. Has some places with nice, trendy clothes though, mostly upstairs though.

  • 4/5 Sean J. 1 year ago on Google
Alot of different shops just about any accessory you need is there plus a nice classic old market place that isn't really around these days. Very nostalgic too with the history it has those that live in the Liverpool respect it and the place has great sentimental value because of its rich experiences throughout the years giving it a weighty value to the people in the area. Clothes, shoes, skirts, boots, groceries, games, food you name it St Johns has it. Enjoy exploring and hope this helps you get an idea of what it is

Visited here today for the first time. All I'm going to say is you need a good few hours to get around and properly see everything if it's your first time. I underestimated how big, not just St John's but Liverpool One and Clayton Square were. I initially thought it would be a Trafford centre style shopping centre but based in Liverpool. It's not. Very busy. Lots going on. You need a full day to really appreciate the surroundings.

  • 4/5 Shell C. 1 year ago on Google
It seems to have grown since we previously walked into it a few years ago. Different shops on offer as well as some firm favourites and a few cafés at the far end.

  • 2/5 Alan O. 11 months ago on Google
Much better shops and shopping centers in the area. Looks like the side of town that nobody goes too. Unless they have to . You pay 0.20 pence to use the loo. And they are so disgusting that I couldn't go. Not a good experience.

  • 5/5 S W. 10 months ago on Google
Haven’t been here for years was a good experience tbh only downside was being a bank holiday the market wasn’t open but definitely everything you need and more will definitely return when market is open to explore and experience it again, Liverpool has so much to offer was really great 👍

  • 5/5 Daniel Smart (. 9 months ago on Google
St John's shopping centre has come a long way in the last 20 years, it's no longer the run down place it used to be. It's very modern and clean and there are many new fancy shops and places to eat inside and its all air conditioned, so nice place to walk around in the summer, even if you're just window shopping 🙂

Oh my days!!! Love this market anyway, so many good shops to choose from, all affordable and great offerings! Left my phone and purse full of money in the changing rooms in BU today, had a meltdown and sprinted through town to get back there. Massive shout out to the lovely guys running this shop 🙏🩶 got it all back after an ID check 😇 wouldn't even take any money off me for a thank you. Thank you so much guys 💖

Used the Parking Scheme (£5 for the day). Impressed with the food court - great selection. Only one of the lifts was working again, which is a problem with the pram but solved with a little patience.

  • 4/5 Daniel H. 8 months ago on Google
Still a good little place to go, parking is a pain but there is some good spaces on mount pleasant either in the multistorey car park or on the gravel site, both are only a 5 minute walk. Shops are fine and you are only 10 minutes from pretty much everything you could need including Liverpool 1, Albert Dock, museum, gallery, library, concert square and plenty of restaurants.

Not as good as it used to be market lost a lot of what made it unique shops are all the same stuff fifty-two I believe its called stands out last who served me and my daughter was great and very helpful other shops all stocking same stuff mini arcade worth a visit but not as big a selection of shops as used to be which is a real shame

I've been going there for about 40 years. It's not the same since they changed the indoor market stalls. It has lost its charm.

  • 4/5 Cassandra G. 7 months ago on Google
Love this place. Have been coming here for many years. Good cheap shops, plenty bargains and places to eat too. The shops and market haven’t changed much in 20 years and it hope they never do. The only thing that changed a bit was the food court. There used to be a lot of independent food stalls like ‘Spud U Like’ and in recent years these are being slowly replaced with big American chains. I hope we can keep St Johns a little bit real as that’s the vibe of this city!

To be honest I found it to be a big disappointment. It's shops aren't great and mostly cater to females. Items like shoes, jewellery ,cloths and food halls. Nice clean toilet facilities, with disabled facilities for all. A 20p is all they ask which is a bargain nowadays. On the upper part most of the stalls are gone with mostly hairdressers and butchers. There is access to other shops but again mostly for females.

Lovely shopping centre. Had what I needed. Parking difficult though. Security sent me entirely in the wrong direction to the location of my car. Ending up with me wandering around lost for way too much time before I realised I'm in the completely wrong car park 🤷🏽‍♀️

Great food in chopstix noodle bar for a very reasonable price. First time eating there and thankfully Shannon who works there was very helpful , kind and welcoming.

Showing its age. Downstairs is generally always busy, the market upstairs is pretty much empty these days, which is a shame as it used to be bustling. Go to somewhere like Leeds or Bolton to see how vibrant a city centre market can be.

  • 2/5 Che86 6 months ago on Google
Tired and worn down mall. Lots about the city , internally there are a range of shops and sellers operating. Pretty depressing place to visit in my opinion but has a number of high street names operating within.

  • 5/5 Mike b. 5 months ago on Google
Great parking in the centre of the city. You must pre register (subscribe) on their website before you enter the car park to take advantage of the £5 all day parking. If you don’t do this you’ll have to pay the normal parking charges. Subscribing is easy. You’ll need you’re car registration number and bank card details. You will only be charged when you leave the car park. The automatic number plate reader will recognise your car because you’ve already entered it during subscription and will debit your bank account because you’ve already provided your card details during subscription. The exit barrier opens automatically so no need to do anything. Just drive out! Car park was very clean and tidy. No complaints.

St Johns Shopping Centre is a bustling retail hub in the heart of the city. It offers a wide variety of shops and stores, making it a great place to shop for everything you need. The location is convenient and easy to access, with ample parking options nearby. The shopping experience is generally enjoyable, with a diverse range of shops catering to various tastes and budgets. The staff in most stores are friendly and helpful. However, it can get quite crowded during peak hours, which can be a bit overwhelming. Additionally, it would be great to see more dining options and places to sit and rest. Overall, St Johns Shopping Centre is a decent place to shop and explore the city's retail scene. It's worth a visit if you're in the area." Sreeharni Parthasarathy

Parking was a chore as we had to park near the top. There were plenty of spaces on 3A, though. Parking is much cheaper using the app, and it registers your car on entry, and payment is taken automatically on exit with a receipt emailed. Makes parking so much easier! There are plenty of shops to choose from inside the shopping centre, and the city centre is right outside.

Really good place to park. Super cheap and once signed up you don't need to pay every time. It just takes it automatically when you leave.

Love the shops here but the Asian girl selling jewellery needs an attitude check and should learn how to set clear prices. Ruined my experience. Before anyone starts, im Asian myself.

Not the biggest shopping centre in the world which surprised me for a major city like Liverpool, however it serves its purpose and there some decent shops inside including an open market style one selling souvenirs of Liverpool, mainly football and beatles memobilia, there is also a good food court on the ground floor.
