Really great place, lots to choose from and absolutely fantastic shops. People cannot walk for the life of them in a straight line and do like to stop dead right in front of you but other than that its a great place to go!

Beautiful like the rest of York city centre. But disappointed they charge to use toilets. I would expect a shopping centre to have free toilets for customers.

Lovely visit to Coppergate and the Shambles. It was busy trying to park but then it was Christmas! The roads are lined with beautiful boutique shops and the smell of artisan fudge and the many bakeries and hot pork outlets fills the streets. A few purchases made it a very enjoyable trip.

Some good shops, the Jovik centre is a must if in York. Cafes and food vans. Close to the castle carpark and Cliffords tower.

Good museum. Giving history all the way up to the 1960's. Cafe was a let down. Not enough seating and the cakes were inedible being rock hard. All in all an enjoyable experience

Coppergate Shopping Centre is a shopping centre within York's ancient city walls. It has quite a rich shopping & culture offering, with a mixture of small and many large big-name high street shops, cafes, galleries & museums, and is also the site of the Jorvik Viking Centre. The centre was founded in 1976 and is named after the Coppergate excavation, which uncovered the remains of a Viking settlement. The centre has been expanded several times over the years, and now has over 100 stores. Coppergate Shopping Centre is a popular spot for both locals and tourists, and is known for its wide variety of shops, its vibrant atmosphere, and its convenient location. The centre is located in the heart of York city center, near the train station. It is accessible by car, bus, and by foot.

Well laid out area with a good variety of shops and attractions. Central area to sit in open if the weather is good. Always a bit of a buzz when tourist busy

We love our day out in York, it's got so much to offer, from, theatre's, shopping, great places to eat, the shambles, plus, all the historical places to visit, then there is the boat ride with afternoon tea. What a great day.

We used the car park for this shopping centre a Very high multi story. A bit tight in places and a few dead ends. Mobility scooter hire and disability parking available. Pay as you exit via your number plate. Not the cheapest parking in York but if you don't want to walk it's perfect. Great shopping centre with food and so much more. Children activities and events. As long as you can navigate a tight car park you will be okay.

There is no space for parking (paid parking full). It is too expensive to visit some ruins. Not worth

Lovely little garden centre just close to the A19. Very christmassy this time of the year, lots of decorations and beautiful reindeer to feed. There is also a small cafe but we didn't use it as it was closed upon our arrival.

Loved it here. So much to see. I overheard one woman say as she was looking at the buildings. Mmm I don't know. Were the builders having a bad day. Lol. Made me chuckle. Well worth a visit.

This isn't copperplate shopping centre., it's Clifford's Tower in York. It was nice to see it refurbished and to be able to go on the roof. However, £10 is a bit steep for an entry fee for the small size of it.

Fantastic place to have a bit of fun. Harry loved it. Look at his scores. Felt safe and premises clean and tidy. Over all, a great night out.

A bit hilly for a wheelchair user in part but nevertheless some good shops are there. and something I did not know is that the yorvik Viking centre is now wheelchair accessible. Happy days!

Average shopping centre. They are what they are. Outside seating with drinks available. Nice art gallery shop. Handy if you want to grab a drink or something to eat before you visit Yorvik Centre. Nice whiskey shop too.

We just parked in the centre to go for a meal at Byron, lovely area and at night with historic buildings and church all lit up. There was a ghost tour on in the square with a lady dressed in victoriana clothes giving history, great atmosphere.

Absolutely brilliant place to go especially if you're disabled with a blue badge they allow free all day parking & have 16 designated parking spaces but if these are taking you can still park in an ordinary bay but you scan your disability badge at machine to get the free parking the warden was very helpful & on hand as we wasn't sure how to use the machine. You have the large Fenwick store you walk into from the car parks lift & was an excellent place to start shopping, well worth a visit & will definitely be going back

York is a good shopping centre but did notice some empty shops. Park and ride is excellent. York is always a good day out when the weather is better.

Fantastic market and some nice quarky shops. Only thing I'd say is a bad thing is the cost of parking,. I think York council are exploiting car drivers. I've not knocked a star of for shopping as that's irrelevant,. Just want to make people aware. If I remember it was something like £17 for 4-5 hours

I love York for shopping. Tip for parking, look for residential street that have no parking restrictions, eanty around the Barbican Theatre and only a ten minute walk into the city from there. Lots of unusual shops to be found as well as all your usual high street chains. Everyone very friendly.

A great place to stroll with the added challenge of find the CATS OF YORK.

York is a beautiful old town . Coppergate blends the new with the old without detracting from either. The new stores add to the shopping experience in a way that would be impossible in the little old buildings. The join is seemless.

Went to Viking Center, although I've been before (shortly after it first opened) it's was certainly worth going again totally changed (mostly for the better). Would recommend a visit great for the family. Copper gate shopping hadn't changed much but still very popular (very busy) found York had changed, allot more eateries etc trying to find a public toilet was a nightmare and price of parking !!! don't recommend using Copper gate multi storey if you're spending day in York.

First time around York with the wife and its a lovely city to walk about. Its bustling but not too busy. Love the buildings and the history plenty to enjoy and do. Went to some nice places for dinner the smaller cosy cafes are some of the best. Three tuns is a lovely building and we enjoyed a few drinks there the food looked amazing but we didn't eat. We also enjoyed The Sandwitches where we had an amazing sarnie I just wish we could have ate more. We will be back next time we visit to do some of the things we didnt get chance to. I presume will be in a couple months nearer Christmas.

Absolutely love York and the Coppergate shopping centre is great. Loads of quirky little streets with local shops and produce but also all the big retailers in the main stretch. Love it here 👍👍👍

Incredibly busy for a Tuesday afternoon. Street's full of tourists queuing in the street for nothing obvious that we could see. Too much Harry Potter thought that had gone years ago. Might be a while before we go again.

Didn't actually go in, but could I send a big thank you to the Staff at Primark. I had a bad time and passed out on the pavement outside their shop. I was with friends who were worried. The lady who was first aider came out, they covered me to keep me warm and called for an ambulance. Everybody stayed with me until paramedics arrived. Still at A&E at moment waiting for blood tests, but many thanks to every one who helped me.
