A slightly dull looking and lacking ambience this shopping centre is without charm. There’s parking charge at the multi-storey car park, and the facilities are just ok.

Shoplifters and kids running riot, most of the security gone by a certain time, when the security are here there short staffed, or seem to have there hands tied. Working in the centre you don't feel safe, and the place just keeps getting further and further ran down. Half of the shops have either closed or wish to close when their lease is up. This place needs a serious revamp/rebrand/restructure now as I can't see it picking up anytime soon.

Only visited to use the toilets which were in a pretty poor state in the ladies and gents facilities. Taps and driers not working. Grubby in appearance and it looked like the low budget installation of units to support the sinks. The rest of the shopping centre is kept looking fairly bright and shiny so why do the toilets look like they've been recycled after DIY SOS have thrown them out.

This was once an amazing shopping centre. Sadly, it has gone downhill. They need to raise it to the ground and start again. The car park is also awful with lifts that rarely work, and when they do, you feel like you're taking your life in your hands. Pay stations are also not positioned well. The centre closes and locks all doors at 18:00 hours, and there is no safe route back to the car park to collect the vehicle.

Bit tired and dated, definitely could do with more variety. Still no one social distances, or even aware of personal space regardless of Covid, or wears masks properly (apart from the rare few like myself). I avoid this place unless I HAVE TO get anything. Decent Primark (again, usually avoid this one due to no one social distancing and it's usually busy)

So I ventured to this shopping "mall". Lots of stores to visit. It seemed rather busy. The lifts were really busy and took a life time to go from A to B. The market was very lively due to the dinosaur event.

Nice place to shop in the Northampton town centre. Houses Boots, NEXT, Primark, Select, The Perfume shop, etc. You can also get fruits and veggies around. Nice 👍

Northamptonshire's very own mall. It houses a wide variety of stores ranging from clothes, shows, accessories, Medicare, cosmetics , jewelry , kids shopping , coffee shops and what not. It has 3 separate entrance/exits and two sets of escalators, 2 lifts . There is a small play area for kids. Huge washrooms are available on first floor . Sometimes you can see open stalls by Turkish vendors with yummy sweets and savouries.

Shopping centre for northampton town centre. Still has a fair amount of business happening but one of the main stores (Sainsbury’s) has now closed down which is a great shame as it bought a lot of business and convenience to local residents. Doesn’t feel as vibrant since the covid issues but still lots going on in and around.Parking available nearby for reasonable rates _kg1 production.

I was utterly dismayed while visiting town centre recently. Had no idea the whole of market walk has closed down. What on earth has happened to this town centre?! It used to be packed with great shops, a thriving market and was always so busy. It's truly very sad

It's nice to see a lot of the stores still trading and seemingly doing ok. I like the idea that if you are an early bird and your chosen store is not quite open, that you are in the warm and dry. Alternatively in the heat of summer, it's also a place to cool down.

Grosvenor Shopping Northampton is a popular shopping center in Northampton, UK, with a variety of stores including Primark, Deichmann, The Perfume Shop, The Body Shop, and many more. Shoppers often appreciate the convenience of having a diverse range of stores in one location.

It was easy to access and walk around unhindered. However, I was surprised to see that following a National directive to wear masks, many chose not to do so both in the Mall and in stores. This was across all ages, gender and ethnicity. Stunned and amazed at the ignorance and arrogance of these individuals!

Used to be good once upon a time but has competition in Rushden Lakes and Riverside. 2 hours free parking doesn't make up for it. There's still some nice shops but feel like it needs more modern shops and eateries.

Very average shopping centre in what is a depressing town. Not visited Northampton for years but the town stinks of urine with sick everywhere. Anybody finding this place remotely pleasing must set themselves very low standards.

Good parking but the centre felt meh and like home. There was also a evacuation and once the alarm turned off we were all told it would be two hours before we could go back through and to the car. Ended up having to go a very long way around and up the car entrance just to get to my car.

Such a shame there are not more high street shops actually in the shopping centre. Never seems that busy even at weekends. A few retail premises just left empty, they could do with a nice restaurant maybe.

Felt like I was stepping back to the 90's. The shopping centre itself is very old and run down. It would be that bad but the town as a whole is a horrible place to visit, which kind of sets the tone. I'm not surprised considering the town centre of most towns nowadays have been gutted by the death of the UK high street for various reasons. A lot of town's locally, (Banbury for example) have done a lot in the area to revitalise the town centres with hefty investments but that doesn't seemed to have happened in Northampton yet. Fingers crossed. To sum up: Go to Sixfields.

If you're looking for a fun shopping experience, don't go here. It's a sad and depressing collection of shops. Most of the lifts were broken. Toilets were disgusting. And the largest store is a Primark. Definitely a pass

  • 1/5 Paul H. 1 month ago on Google • 12 reviews New
The lifts are not useful, most of time out of order. So absolutely useless for anyone carrying any disability.

There's only 1 seating area for max 6 persons in the middle of walkway. The rest of the walkway is used by vendors. Not as many shops as it used to be, but, improvements is already ongoing. The main market place is in the middle of building improvements, not sure when this is going to finish. Tesco convenience store is the only grocery shop nearest to Grosvenor Centre

  • 3/5 Angela K. 11 months ago on Google
Shame there's only a few shops, I only really go to Primark, Card Factory,& Superdrug tbh....there is no place to buy a bit of shopping (sainsburys closed also the m&s outlet that was in WH Smiths) it could be a really busy place.

  • 4/5 All Possibilities T. 1 year ago on Google
For a big shopping centre they only had one accessible toilet one level 1 that’s opened without radar key.

  • 2/5 Krisztián P. 1 year ago on Google
Well not a bad place, BUT the mobile signal on both my sim cards (o2 & ee) is non existent, the wifi in there is horrendous (probably dial in still). But the no signal makes me avoid it ad much as possible. Its like a faraday cage for signal. Bad

Brightly lit. Many of the stores are there, pleasant experience. Bought a number of children's books. It is the larger of the two local stores, (Rushden Lakes) . This is a better option, should you be require assistance, larger selection. The staff are first rate, listen, knowledgeable and vert efficient. Best to go early, they are always busy.

  • 3/5 Ashok D. 10 months ago on Google
Not many big named shops left. Still ok for some local shopping. Better attractive options near by

  • 3/5 Mr S J M. 1 year ago on Google
A tidy area but no atmosphere. The town's better shops are located here which make it worth going in. Connects well to the car park via lift or stairs.

  • 1/5 V L Y. 11 months ago on Google
Not much choice in shops to be honest. Only shop I go in is Lush which is still rather small. The stores are small and doesn't have any decent places to eat. Looks rather run down, I'm embarrassed to take my out of town friends to visit Northampton city centre for shopping, so dry!

  • 1/5 Dan D. 1 year ago on Google
I've slowly watched the deterioration of this shopping centre over the last 30 years from boom to gloom. Once it was the place to be with all types of shops to cater for all your needs. Now with all the big names leaving it's full of shops that only cater for children and those that can only go here as they can go anywhere else. If you like fast food coffee need a hair cut cheap clothes and sugary foods this is the place for you all in a building fit for the 80s. Enjoy ☺️

I am a faithfull customer for couple of decades. Offers wide range of shops and in the mean time quite a few coffee shops for a break in-between shopping. Although centre changes the face from time to time yet still reamaining a good place for venture around and a cuppa.

  • 2/5 Vikki T. 8 months ago on Google
Has a huge primark, a couple of card shops, lush, a perfume shop. Surprisingly HMV is still going which is nice. There is a few more but too many vacant shops now for a shopping centre. Definitely not what it used to be. Toilets are available at the back which is handy. Including separate baby changing room.

Sad that Northampton town centre is so run down. Shops do not have a chance. Expensive parking with impossible rules and regulations. Very sad. Council needs to make it more accessible.

Disappointed.. first visit in a long time and half empty, although you can say that of many shopping centres now. Looks rundown and tired. Needs to attract smaller businesses.

  • 4/5 sparkling blue s. 6 months ago on Google
Few good shops, however there is a building work going on just outside one of the entrances at the market square and outside Boots store entrance. There is a pedestrian designated area or you can walk a bit further up Northampton centre for another entrance. I have visited the Primark and Boots opticians. It wasn't particularly busy in either store, partly because it was Friday morning and you have to pay for parking.

  • 3/5 Stuart W. 4 months ago on Google
Like most of Northampton town centre the quality of stores is going down. Mainly cheap retail stores and coffee shops. Sign of the times out of town shopping centres are the norm. And currently the market place has been destroyed, hope they eventually make it better

  • 4/5 Dawn C. 5 months ago on Google
Plenty of shops, few cafes, public toilet facilities. It has it's own car park which is handy but the lifts can be slow.

Nice and clean. Half the shops have closed down so only go in to town if absolutely necessary.

A shadow of its former self. Empty shops other shops down sized. Our first visit since Covid & we not expecting to return here or to Northampton town centre. We used to love shopping in the centre and the town but, sadly, no more.

  • 4/5 Grant C. 2 years ago on Google
Considering how long it's been in the town its always been pretty good. Lost a couple of anchor stores but still has some good ones. Not sure if the parking is free but going in the glass lift reminds me of being a kid.

Nice to visit here again, its been a while. Phone connection not good, which was frustrating as got separated . Not to busy. Have brought in Lift restrictions which as there is always a que might be annoying The escalator down by primary was out of action, so either lift or walk to other end of centre to get down

  • 5/5 Adrian D. 2 years ago on Google
Great place, 2 floors with a number of Stores. Nice to also see a variety, not just the usual popular chains. Free parking on Saturday for 2 hours and all day on Sunday. Plenty to keep you occupied. Kids loved the scenic lifts more than the shopping 😃 ..

  • 1/5 Andrew D. 2 years ago on Google
Tired Shopping centre attached to an almost derelict concrete High Street hit by store closures, probably desolated by overdone pedestrianisation, high parking charges or the laughable access to public transport. It's a 'run the gauntlet' type of experience when getting a bus on the crowded stinking Drapery pavements lined with vapers and beggars. Try getting to the train station!

  • 3/5 Fiona R. 2 years ago on Google
Would benefit from more facilities eg outdoor gym... running track... explore opportunities for using the wooded area etc. Too many people leave dog mess even though there are several bins around the park.

  • 2/5 Steve A. 2 years ago on Google
It's dead now. Years of bad management and under investment and it shows in the lack of choice. Primark is the main store, we lost other major retail way before the pandemic. So many stores now where the staff don't seem to want to be there. Primark comes across as a social atmosphere for the staff, too much on the shop floor which should be out of sight of customers. A thumbs up for the staff at Bewitched, always polite and efficient, please, get rid of those nasty sticky tables at the front though.

  • 3/5 A B. 1 year ago on Google
Not that keen. Was very warm. A bit dated. Shops were ok but also hot inside them. Could have done with air con. We visited in October so it wasn't exactly a hot day. Didn't feel safe getting into/ out of the shopping centre because of people begging, rubbish around etc... That was not the shopping centres fault but it out me off going there because of the surrounding area.

  • 3/5 Alan Joseph M. 2 years ago on Google
Unfortunately Northampton town centre is not the place it once was, the Grosvenor Shopping Centre suffers from empty units as does the town centre itself. Still good for Primark, Superdry and HMV though.

  • 5/5 Simon P. 1 year ago on Google
The shopping centre is maintained to a high standard but needs more shops in my opinion. Far to many boarded up without any occupancy - hopefully post covid will see a change. Seems as if things have changed a little as there are now more shops open around the centre.

  • 5/5 MYITSHA 1 year ago on Google
Just about everything you need, under one roof, the maintenance staff do a great job keeping the place clean. Plenty of room for my mobility scooter without feeling like I was in the way

Loved it, it's a lots fun to go there. Lots of Choice and you find Shelter when it rains. You can do anything from getting your Nails done to sit down and have a drink. The only thing I didn't like is being followed by Security just because I use my own Bag. Not everyone who has a bag goes Shoplifting. My favorites are Prima r k, Boots and I n Town the Sport shop and of course JD'S.

  • 3/5 Thor D. 1 year ago on Google
The car park pay ticket sections is located on the 2nd floor and inside the shopping centre, if your looking to get out keep that in mind. Bit of a pain if your trying to get out and your wandering around the carpark looking for the damn thing. Didn't spend much time in the centre as it was close to closing time, but it looked fine. Escalators were partially broken so take the elevators or stairs instead.

  • 2/5 Stephen K. 1 year ago on Google
With Milton Keynes and Rushden Lakes mere minutes away in the car it does make you wonder who chooses to continue to use the Grosvenor Centre. People who don't own a car? Masochists? To say it is on its last legs is a bit harsh, maybe, but it's certainly limping along with its shuttered shops shouting out to be noticed. Only the memories remain of the high-street big hitters who used to be located within this windowless wondermall. They're all in Milton Keynes and Rushden Lakes, it seems. And there's no sign of them returning.

  • 3/5 Shabaz R. 1 year ago on Google
The place could do with updating in terms of decor but otherwise it's a decent shopping centre with a variety of shops within

  • 2/5 A J. 1 year ago on Google
Needs more high end shops. Don’t want to go to rushden or MK. I find it strange that there no M and S. there’s loads of footfall in the town due to students as well. Nothing for them to do! Captive audience

  • 5/5 Paul S. 1 year ago on Google
Good number and variety of shops. Shopping centre a short walk from the bus station and walkable distance from the train station.

  • 2/5 samantha m. 1 year ago on Google
It's just gone down hill so much. No Sainsbury's (moved). No marks and Spencer. The high street is even worse. Shame it used to be good when I was a kid. Could spend all day in town. Now it's not worth it.

  • 3/5 Joshua R. 1 year ago on Google
The Grosvenor shopping centre and the town centre are great but they could be miles better with proper investment. It has what you would usually find like coffee shops, clothes shops, and the like. It's a good social area. It's always worth the visit to get what you need.

  • 5/5 Dan P. 1 year ago on Google
5 stars for the glass lift! My mum has always been scared of lifts so this provided me with great entertainment! It was so funny I can't remove any stars because of the lift, but I would because of the car park. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun car park (I may review that separately), but how do you pay?! We couldn't find a payment thing anywhere. We couldn't remember what time we arrived so we decided to chance it. Success! But confusing I like the shopping centre. It's got some good places and isn't full of establishments that aren't there the next time you visit (looking at you, Rhyl) I think you could easily waste most of a day here
