Eastgate Shopping Centre in Gloucester is a prominent retail destination offering a diverse mix of shops, boutiques, and eateries. Situated in the heart of Gloucester, it provides a convenient and vibrant shopping experience for locals and visitors alike. The center typically features a range of well-known brands, fashion outlets, and amenities, contributing to the city's retail landscape.

Great place to visit local shops. Plenty of places to grab a snack or a meal in a pub. Lots of coffee shops, and not far from the Quays

The rating is purely for the size of the shopping centre way to small for a city . The shopping centre is maintained well and clean. There nothing much happening over the weekends as stalls are less or the number of shops are less. No activity that engages the customer , being resident of Gloucester city quite concerned that council Is not investing money into infrastructure and expanding the city. This city feels like a namesake city and possibly doesn’t match up to even towns.

Gloucester city's L-shaped indoor shopping area contains a varied selection of shops and also Eastgate Indoor Market. Plenty to do and see during your visit to Gloucester. The 4 main streets of Gloucester's city centre (Northgate, Southgate, Eastgate and Westgate) make for a very compact shopping experience. Eastgate Shopping Centre runs indoors connecting Eastgate to Southgate street, also combining a multistorey car park, so you can enjoy easy access to lots of central shops. You will find a nice variety of shops too. For example, the Farmhouse Deli sells good quality meats - try the sausages with different fillings. Or browse rare Vinyl records at Vinyl Vital Signs. JD Sports and M&S offer fashion and food. When you want to take time out from the shops, enjoy a Snack and a Drink at Boswell's Cafe with plenty of comfy seating or the cafe in Eastgate Market.

Decent new shopping centre, the shops are mainly outlet shops but there is a good variety of shops for all tastes. There's a north face, asics, timberland, cookware, etc. There's parking, and the docks next to it which you can have a walk around when the weather's good.

Glos town centre is now at rock bottom. Half the shops are closed down and it all just looks a mess.. Housing flats everywhere now or buildings being converted! Used to be a lovely place once.

It's in Gloucester.....Gloucester is a dump. So glad we moved away. Come back to visit family & Gloucester town is worse now than before. Empty shops, boarded up. Coffee shops and stupid vape shops in pretty much what's on Gloucester town now

Parking above the shopping centre is ideal and staff are more than willing to help. Disabled bay parking is easily within reach of the doors to the centre. Those who have difficulty with the stairs can safely use the lifts. On exit from the lifts are many varied popular shops where you can purchase a variety of goods from food to clothing and everything else that one can think of. There is also the market area which has sadly become a victim of modern times and is no longer thriving at its best. It is good to go in and see what stalls are left. It still has its surprises.

The market is excellent and everything is reasonable in price. The main part of the centre is very clean. You just need to get the empty stores filled up.

This Marks and Spencer, right place for all your family shopping, one stop shop, you get designer clothes here, children clothes, adults, shoes, bags, accessories, this is high end shopping, ground and upper floor and basement. There are escalators for your convenience, the washrooms are very clean and neat, nursing mothers have been catered for, they can change diapers comfortably. Highly recommended

Great place to visit. Almost all shops occupied. A great retreat into a warm environment to escape the Wind on the Quays! Seemed friendly and safe.

It's fairly clean and lit, but it certainly won't set your senses alight. Seems to lack that sparkle, no quite enough to encourage you to spend anything. More of a sheltered cut through to the Southgate, markets and access to the carparks. Showing its age, needs new shops, new decor and perhaps new management to oversee it. Not worth sending a postcard saying wish you here.

Great place to shop with the added bonus of a market full of surprises. Well worth a visit.

Not much in there, everything seemed sad and dull. None of the rides were working so my little one was disappointed. Its not easy to navigate a pushchair or pram about in the toilets and I had to leave the door open while I went to the loo because I didn't want to shut the door and leave my toddler in his pushchair out of site. On the plus side, it's clean and the staff are friendly.

A little run down with some vacant shop spaces which is a shame. Doesn't seem to be anything going on in the upstairs area either although the toilets are handy and 2x baby change/disabled rooms have come in handy multiple times. You can access the market area of the shopping centre here which feels a little stuck in the past but it's popular enough. And not to forget the car park on top which gives good access to Gloucester Town in general with a few lifts available and some staircases. Prices are acceptable although having to take a ticket at the top of a steep ramp could cause issues with people coming up/hill starting, whatever. If you've used the car park you know what I mean.

Good selection of shops but i still think the best part of this place is the indoor Marketplace there. Good array of small shops including a good Turkish spice seller and butcher. Carpark above is handy too and not charging unfair prices.

  • 3/5 James L. 1 year ago on Google
The Gloucester branch of M&S is in the Eastgate. That was the reason for my visit on this occasion. The indoor market is an interesting feature.

The shopping centre is very well maintained. Great range of shops...👍 But today there was an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke coming from outside though the exit doors next to the Midland air ambulance shop...🤢

Nice little shopping centre with a variety of well known and smaller independent shops. Worth a look and give your support!!

I rode along the outside up Eastgate St. on my E-bike slowly to and from the Cross bank . Your GPS or whatever can and should Not assume? that I visited your list of shop places. It would be wrong. This happens often. A lot of work needs doing to stop this happening. Assumption is not made by robots. Better point references obviously need to be made before detailing shops I haven't visited that your sad and no doubt unwell AI indicates that I have. In other words, it's frequently unhinged, and WRONG. Sad, isn't it? Putting a lot of people in shops they haven't been to, or know of!? Facts not fiction please..

A true piece of Gloucester's history. Go to the market inside to find some real characters and great bargains too. The sweet stall has been there since I was a kid and they still have all the best ones.

What a fantastic place. The interior is lovely with useful shops and people who want to buy things . My favourite store ks pound land because I like to buy things for a pound . However this isn't just about the pound shop, so let me say this. It has a great range of shops for people of all ages . Places to eat and places to buy good clothing for people who have money. Sadly not for homeless because they sleep outside or out the back . But over all 5 stars nice place mate.

Looking a bit tired and jaded. Could do with some investment to improve the ambience and bring more people back into the city centre. Go mainly for olive and fish stall in market which are both value for money.

  • 5/5 David C. 2 years ago on Google
I pop in to get a watch battery at one of the jewellers, easy access, and plenty of space to walk around and view the shops.

  • 2/5 Jane C. 2 years ago on Google
Nothing to shout about.they have a big Primark if that's what you like,a good super drug with quite a few bargains, the staff in there were very helpful, marks and Spencer the staff lady that helped me was very helpful, but apart from that Debenhams sadly is closed as are a lot off other shops.there is some improvements happening in the main square to make it look nice which will be good in the summer.they do have a problem with homeless people ,not blaming them everyone's got a story but something does need to be done to house them and get them off the streets to stop them from begging.they have a lovely new buss station nice and clean and close to the shops and Gloucester royal hospital.

First visit and apart from visiting Specsavers would never go again. Not the shopping centres fault but the whole area needs some serious attention.

Great if you live near by or are visiting IKEA. Will be a shame once the asda living shuts down as we've been regulars here for many years. Free parking and a few shops.

  • 5/5 Dale C. 1 year ago on Google
It is very easy to park and very reasonable priced for that parking. Good variety of shops and partly enclosed to keep out the worst of the elements. The highlight of our visit was a cooked breakfast at The Farmhouse Deli - superb.

This place has been a bit drab for a long time but it is a very old building. Doesn't really have a great variety of shops but one of few places in Gloucester City Centre with public toilets. Still holds the really old market place.

Sad to say, but someone one needs to do something with this place. It leaks rain, in and shops are empty. On the last visit there was practically nothing worth going in for. Would be nice to know what is intended for the building as staff there don't even know.

Bright and up-to-date shopping centre. All inclosed, so shopping in comfort from the wind and rain. Everything from clothes to a skateboard shop. Yet still only walking distance to the Gloucester city centre.

MEATS with incredible prices and choices of cuts. Both the gentlemen are helpful and kind. This is a 'must go to' venue.

Good range of cafe food, large portions at very reasonable prices. Good to soak up the market atmosphere and people watch. Friendly and attentive staff. In my opinion, much better than the local chain cafes and food outlets.

Really liked this place, has toilets and parking and indoor Market. Spent 4 hours walking around Gloucester and very impressive city. Easy streets to navigate and well signposted. Unspoiled and wish more towns and cities were like this, instead of being filled with cafes and fast food places! Lots of shops and variety. Quaint little shops and big stores. Great buildings.
