Lovely area to roam around in the lanes and also the Mall in the same area. Plenty of shops and restaurants to spend some time in.

A very nice shopping centre with many services and shops. Maybe because it was Monday many shops weren't open but I'm not sure. It is clean and organised, and there are plenty of shops for all tastes.

Only come here for Boots and TK Maxx but to be honest there is no life in this place anymore. I did find a new charity shop which has some pretty things. I fear this is the way Castle mall is heading... a mall full of discount and charity shops. Update July 2021: Supercool amusements on great fun. Keeps kids so busy. Went in 01.03.2022 - jobcentre is now where the post office used to be and there have been significant changes to stores.

During our recent visit to Norwich, we had the chance to explore the Castle Quarter, which was formerly known as Castle Mall. It's a lovely shopping center with a vibrant atmosphere and a pristine appearance. We were impressed by the wide range of stores and services available, catering to all our needs. While there were a few shops that had closed down, we noticed that they were creatively adorned with attractive decorations. This thoughtful touch helped maintain a visually appealing ambiance, even in areas where businesses were temporarily closed. One highlight we discovered was the brand new changing place facility in the Castle Quarter. It's conveniently located near the Cattlemarket entrance, right next to the disabled parking area on Level J of the car park. The management's commitment to improving accessibility within the complex was evident and commendable. To ensure maximum convenience, the changing place facility is only open when the stores are open. This means that visitors can access it at their convenience, aligning perfectly with their shopping experience. We appreciated this considerate approach, which prioritizes the needs of the customers. What's even more impressive is that the Castle Quarter has made sure that every area is wheelchair accessible. Lifts are available from all levels, allowing individuals with mobility challenges to easily navigate the complex and explore all the offerings it has in store. It's worth noting that a radar key is required to access the changing place facility. This special key, widely recognized in the UK, is used for accessing accessible toilets and facilities. This extra security measure ensures that the facility remains available and secure for those who genuinely require its services. These remarkable initiatives in promoting accessibility truly contribute to creating an inclusive environment within the Castle Quarter. The management's dedication to ensuring that everyone can enjoy their visit, regardless of their mobility needs, is truly heartwarming. It's wonderful to witness such a strong commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in action.

I’ve given more stars than it’s worth out of sympathy. 20 years ago this was thriving, but it’s now a victim of the other mall and the internet. There’s very little happening here, and what there is has been stretched out to hide the emptiness. Plenty of low end jewellers and a job centre that can’t fill its own space or find jobs for people. It’s a sad space; a shadow of how it once was.

Absolutely amazing and the parking fees are super affordable as well. Perfect for kids as they have lots of bubble gum dispenses, a cinema and loads of kid friendly stores. I've went there over and over and something about it just feels like home. For a day out in norwhich it to me is just the right place to choose.

Castle Quarter has changed a lot over recent years, and I'm not sure it's all for the better. Moving more towards leisure than retail feels like a gamble that hasn't quite played off. Of course, the leisure options are often brilliant, especially the fantastic Retro Replay. But the remaining retail units don't justify a trip. The food court has moved away from being somewhere affordable and comfortable to eat, to being rather pricey for the quality of the food and reliant on ordering through smartphones. It feels like Castle Quarter is experiencing an identity crisis, with a few budget shops remaining whilst the leisure side is sporadically invested in. We've gone past the glory days of Castle Mall but not yet fully embraced the lean into the leisure hub that Castle Quarter aims to be.

A mall on its last legs. Empty units. Some lovely shops .... the Tea Junction is a great place to stop for a break and sells a huge selection of coffees. The Food Court is hugely expensive and the meals very mediocre. There was a fracas involving cafe staff and a family who were being rude and unpleasant. Police called and attended! Give it a miss. What a shame, because it could be a nice place for lunch with better choices of food on offer. Shan't be going back. ☹️

Highlight of this mall now is the food court at the top, offering a variety of street like food with a island bar in the middle. Not many good shops here anymore. The arcade though is great fun.

I think its ridiculous that they kick people out of all the seating areas in rain thunder and lightning because other people are “antisocial”. When I was sat there, there was no antisocial behaviour and when there has been in the past (vaping and skating indoors) no action is taken.

one of the best places, very very big town center, full of everything, all the shops possible for everyone, for all ages, who ever wants a small holiday away from the daily ruotin, this is the place, a quiet town, very clean, with pleasant people all around

Love the place great stores and new ones coming and going all the time ! Also they have a great food court which should be reopened after being used as a Norwich vaccination centre. You get alot of events happen there as show the fathers day one. If your in norwich or Norwich area I highly advice you pay a visit as it also has a lovely area going down caste meadow and norwich castle. Going from there you can have a lovely walk around the city as it is located in a good area.

Beautiful shopping centre, very popular, bright and clean. Fairly generic with the usual shops that are in every shopping centre in every town, but it still has a nice vibe to it. There is a cinema and bowling for those who don't need retail therapy. Overall, nice, safe, clean and welcoming.

Great shopping centre and still doing well all things considered, seems to still be lively and have plenty to offer. It was a real shame the electric car charging points were out of service (and appear to have been for some time) other than that, reasonable parking fees and well located in the heart of the city.

A pleasant shopping mall with a good range of shops. Met up with friends here and the children went to enjoy a game of bowling whilst we had a drink in the food hall area. Pretty views of Norwich castle if you sit outside when the weather is good. I drive a mobility scooter and was able to get around without any problems.

Drove into the large entrance to car park and after getting in, there was a height limit of 2m. Our mobility van is 2.2m. Had to reverse out into traffic then drove down the road and found a blue badge parking space on the opposite side of the road. Then had to travel with wheelchair to the shopping center. A good few shops closed and the only food outlet was the street food take away. However, it is a nice center and will visit again and perhaps look round the town shops instead!

Always a great place to go for a day out. I visit the Castle Quarter often with my boyfriend, and there's always something new and interesting to see or look at. Chantry Place does have a few more places to eat, but the Castle Quarter has way more activities. Would reccomend to anyone and everyone! Great place for kids!

  • 2/5 Mollie 6 months ago on Google
It just did not feel as though it was a place you would regularly visit. It needs something to attract more people in, a better atmosphere. It might be a good idea to do a survey of regulars to see what they would like to see there and then try and implement it. I always feel that empty shops should be let out to Artisan people showing us how things can be made by hand. Reducing rents for 3 months so that new businesses can have a chance of a start up would also help.

There is currently a lot of building work going on at the castle itself, which prevents access to the castle but you can still visit the very interesting museums. There are lots of great treasures on display and it's still well worth it!

It's a shopping mall. It is what it is. Useful if there's an outlet in there you want to visit. I just don't like the places but it's conveniently placed - & has public toilets (if that's important!!). Parking is far too expensive everywhere; this isn't the most expensive place to park in Norwich. Access to & from is fairly easy.

Very clean mall, decent variety of shops and places to get treats. Awesome that it has an free entry generic arcade and retro arcade which is cheap to enter. Pretty quiet compared to most malls but is nice. Vue cinema upstairs which is great and cheap. Always watch a movie there! Clean food court with some special places to eat, and also a mini bar too which seems nice. My personal favourite place in Castle Quarters is Moya bubble tea which is just awesome. I will typically spend more time in this mall than the other.

An average shopping centre. It looks a bit dated now, could use a modern refurbishment. The bar at the top often has live music / karaoke nights which is quite nice.

Decided to park here as it was easy access to the centre of town. The food court has a great selection of places to eat but very little seating. The Carpark can be deceiving, I parked on Level A, thinking that was closest to the shops, I was wrong, H is closest.

  • 4/5 Carl T. 6 months ago on Google
Went for the cinema & evening entertainment. Easier to park then during the day. But should you have to pay for parking - even the cinema stamped card but still £2 nothing to do with cost just principle

It's a good centre right in the middle of Norwich. Several ways to get into the city and market. Some useful shops. Would be nice to see more. I miss Accessorise and hope he might return one day. Maybe incentives are needed for small traders?

Lovely place to visit and you can walk all around the base. Quickest access for us coming out of the shopping centre was the first right, which takes you past the little amphitheatre and gardens. Having lifts taking you from the ground floor up is a great advantage. You were required to be Covid19 free and be required to take a test or produce a negative result, but that may have changed with the new regulations.

apologies for not leaving review from 25/9/23. The problem was that I came to The Mall for Covid Injection. I am disabled physically and severely visually impaired. I entered up now signage anywhere, so went up to where there used to be Injections, nothing in food court! Then went down to escalators up to Farmers Ave-Timberhill level looked around there did see any staff while I was on my travels. I went all the way down the escalators to ground level. As I didn't see anyone, I went into Boots to the Chemist dept and asked there. I was told it was on the next level. On that level I managed to get a member of Mall Staff who was very helpful and showed me where the Covid Jabs were taking place. When I originally entered, I was 15 minutes early for my appt time. By the time I had got there I was late and missed my original slot. Arriving worn out and feeling very rough. The nurses who I spoke with told me that they weren't allowed to put posters up or even an A board sign. People who come for these Boosters are elderly, infirm or people who have, like myself, lowered immune system so very susceptible to getting Covid. It's pretty disgusting to be like that, how would you feel if you were infirm and there was no signage or help available when you needed it? That's why you got 1 Star - That was for the member of staff who helped me, she was lovely.

Looked like a promising EV charging set up, but unfortunately all of the devices are faulty, and it looks like they have been faulty according to zap for at least a couple of months. As one of the very few places in Norfolk to charge, it is a real problem driving electric in this area. Extra start added for convenience of the cinema. Don't expect to charge here unless the facility has been fixed.

  • 1/5 J M. 5 months ago on Google
Not allowed to eat a packed lunch in the near empty food hall. My disabled friend and I were asked to leave and had to eat outside in the cold. I remember eating upstairs before Covid, and it was always an active, nice area. Such a shame.

  • 2/5 Joey S. 2 years ago on Google
Castle Quarter is, unfortunately, something of a confusing mess. It is split across 5 floors, yet had no readily apparent maps or signposting to guide you to the actual establishment you are looking for. The escalators are frustratingly laid out with an 'up' paired next to a 'down', requiring you to circumnavigate the central open space to reach the next one going in the same direction when you have to move between multiple floors. While it does host some good shops and entertainment venues, they aren't necessarily ones you are likely to visit often, so the confusing layout is likely to trip you up more than once.

Sadly in decline with shops closing. BUT I still love Castle Mall. Parking is great, you can't get lost. Still some lovely shops in there. Toilets are always clean. Cinema. Places to eat.

Had food from the Street food box on level 3 of castle quarter. WOW! Amazing loaded fries and burgers, you get a lot of good quality food for your money. Highly recommend the chicken dinner loaded fries. But everything I saw other people eating from there looked just as good. They also do child portions. It took about 8 minutes to get the food as everything is cooked to order. Staff are really friendly and polite. Highly recommend

Great variety of shops on many levels can often enjoy activities and shop for children of all ages. Delightful Desserts is well worth a visit! There used to be a food court on level 3 but at this time (December 2022) it has remained closed for some time

Vue cinema is the only good part, really. Its got a weird atmosphere, with a strange selection of shops. Not worth the visit, really. Feels very big for what it has inside. Hope it becomes lively and atmospheric again one day.

  • 4/5 Rosemary H. 1 year ago on Google
A good variety of shops including big names but also some more speciality ones. Also there are pop up ones especially around Christmas when you can find good selection of gifts. All undercover so you don't have to put up with bad weather.

A very nice, light and airy 90s shopping centre. Just a shame that, like many shopping malls, there are so many closed stores. The ones that are there are interesting though and it is clean and centrally located.

A lovely shopping mall with lots of shops and cafes and cinema hall and gym. Children's play area and cars are also there. I love castle quarter.

  • 2/5 Graham B. 1 year ago on Google
The parking spaces are too small for modern cars. This seriously let's down what would otherwise be a great place. Will need a really good reason to want to visit again

  • 4/5 John H. 2 years ago on Google
Great to see it busy again. Signage to Castle quarter car park poor, said straight on so in left lane. But at last minute splits and only right lane goes to car park, too late to change lanes. Had to drive 2 miles to get back to it, so adding to global warming, sure I'm sure lots miss it as car in front did same.

  • 4/5 Jill D. 9 months ago on Google
You could produce more and better signage at each entry point to the mall. You could place clear signage beside and in each elevator. We spent quite some time trying to find our way around!

Visited Castle Quarter today I was very happy with the mall very beautiful and always clean and welcoming, bonus for friendly and helpful staff. I love Norwich anyway, but even more so at Christmas time! ❤️

  • 4/5 Rebecca R. 1 year ago on Google
My heart is in this shopping centre being from the area, and knowing it as its former self, however it's now mainly food areas and arcade units. Some shops do still remain but many are closed down due to financial issues from pandemic or Internet shopping. Still a worth while visit though, the crazy golf, bowling alley, soft play, cinema and food halls are fantastic but not the place to go for a shopping spree or visit

  • 5/5 Maryjane A. 2 years ago on Google

Amazing food! Especially Hanks Dirty! Absolutely disgusting management. 1, they charge the units £6000 per month in rent and then take 20% of all their sales. 2, they do not allow the units to sell any drinks. All drinks must be bought from their own central bar. 3, they close the whole floor at 7, yet the units are allowed to serve food until 7. Essentially they kick you out before even receiving your food. If you are allowed to sit down eat fast or you'll get all the staff huffing and puffing and moaning at you. Hanks Dirty please find another venue. You have the most amazing food but the venue is so shocking I'd never come back!

  • 4/5 Leah L. 8 months ago on Google
Been to this mall where there's a Boots, pound land, YWCA, etc quite often but was very pleased to find a fruits and veggies vendor that sells a variety of fresh fruits and veggies at very reasonable prices unlike the signature Norwich market where most fruits and veggies are pricey.

  • 2/5 Caroline b. 9 months ago on Google
The poor old Mall didn't stand a chance when they built the Chaplefield version. I worked in Argos when it all first opened. Bustling and quite unique for Norwich it was hugely popular. I think if the rents were fair more shops would appear there and it would thrive again.
