I have received a fine for parking here when I paid the parking at the time of use and have the bank statements to prove it, they are trying to charge me an £100 fine for something I have already paid for. I won’t be using them again as this is fraudulent and definitively underhand. No matter if I win the appeal it shouldn’t have happened in the first place as this system was supposed to make it easier but hasn’t.

A really good shopping centre, we come here occasionally, parking is good, easy and not expensive. The parking here works on number plate recognition, when I returned to pay it had not recognised my number plate, so asked for my entry time - probably a good idea to note this down just incase.

In the centre of Yeovil. Most of which is a massive construction site at the moment. Ok if your looking for mobile phone shops or a barbers, interspersed between a few charity shops and cafe's. Of course being careful not to trip over the vagrant's. Not much else going on and lots of closed shops. Due mainly to the local council's total mismanagement of the Town centre over the last few years. If you're thinking of planning a visit, don't bother.

During my recent visit to the Quedam Shopping Centre in Yeovil, I was left with mixed emotions. The centre itself boasts a variety of shops and eateries that cater to a wide range of tastes and needs, making it a convenient hub for shopping and leisure. The layout is user-friendly, and the facilities are generally clean and well-maintained. However, my overall experience was marred by an incident that took place during my visit. While I appreciate the necessity for security in public spaces, I witnessed an unsettling situation where two young girls were apprehended by security staff. The scene escalated quickly, and the police were called to the scene. This incident created a tense atmosphere, which was quite discomforting and not what I expected during a routine shopping trip. The response of the security team appeared excessive and certainly affected the shopping environment. It was disconcerting to see such a confrontation in what should be a relaxed and welcoming setting. This experience left me feeling uneasy and overshadowed the otherwise pleasant aspects of the centre. In light of this, I believe a 3-star rating is appropriate for my trip to Quedam Shopping Centre. Security is, unquestionably, a critical aspect of public safety, but it should be balanced with the need for a hospitable and agreeable ambiance for all visitors. I hope this feedback is taken as constructive, and I look forward to seeing improvements in managing such situations in the future, aligning with the centre's reputable standing.

It's clean, nice plants and the dinosaur theme is good to entertain the kids, hopefully they put up more themed displays as it is good for the community. Downside, far to many shops are closed and the main town refurbishment is taking too long to finish, leave the quedam and you are walking into a building site as it stands. Plenty of parking and it's easy to pay. They also have security on site and plenty of outdoor seating and good restaurants for refreshments or a good brunch!

Good layout. Classy Christmas decorations, not cheesy. Looked very smart with tree, a sleigh for the children to sit in. Good shop options.

Had to go to Dunelm at 19:00, and there was a sign on the Quedam Car Park saying it closed at 18:45. Had to park quite a distance from there and struggled to carry my purchases. Have just found out the car park stays open until 20:00. Please amend your car park signs.

Here's an idea stop charging for parking and drop the rent and then maybe people would visit and shops would open. Why do you not have free parking for the first 2/3 hours.

The Quedam shopping centre is a real asset for Yeovil! Good variety of chain and independent stores in a nicely kept area. The Quedam are always organising events and providing interactive decorations and very often throughout the year it is one of the most busy and vibrant places to be in Yeovil! It's nice to see a business putting in so much effort.

Used to be one of the best places to shop in Yeovil. Now half the stores are empty and the other half you can see are struggling. Still has some very good shops but unfortunately shows the impact of online shopping! Lack of free parking around the area also deters people regularly

Come and visit myself and Bespoke Oil Paintings at 'Vienna Gallery' in Yeovil Quedam opposite Pandora. It's full of our original paintings, we do live painting in the window, chat to many people about commissions and have a dog Toby that we joke is our apprentice.

Check the payment amount. If by card it could and has declined the first one they re do the parking on the machine tap again and all goes through.. however it’s £3 and not £2!!!! So a bit chuffed off. It’s a good way of making money….

Like most of the rest of Yeovil Town Centre it's a bit run down, unloved. There are several empty units which add to the dilapidated feel of the place. In fairness, if it wasn't for Boswells, for me I'm not sure I'd bother with the place too much. Yeovil in general isn't a place you'd maybe go to just to bimble around - if you had a specific need to go for a reason then its fine.

It's a shame that the council is spending so much money on the roads, paths, and seating, seeing as how most of the shops are now empty. Vicarage walk is now completely shut down. According to shop keepers, the rent is too high and is unsustainable. Yeovil council needs to do something quick or there won't be a need for all those new benches other than giving the homeless a bed for the night.

Better lately with more venues open. An idea if anyone who makes decisions reads this: the town I've seen die with removal of traffic in it came back to life and thrive exponentially with venues renting out for 1€/month to local artists. That pulled curious people in, people stopped for coffee on the outdoor tables, people drinking coffee had time to look around and buy, little shops began to open, knitting, clothes, shoes, whatever ... In two years the town high street ran out of venues to rent for regular prices. Nobody had a problem with the parking being 300 yards away more so, safe for kids, seniors to walk and enjoy it all. The closed shops are the death of the whole of the town, life moves away, the true story of the town I described might be a solution. Hope this meets the right ears.

I love the new parking facilities here. Finally no more scratching around for cash. Card payment is easy, but remember your car registration number first.

Nice selection of shops. Fair enough there's empty shops, but they are making an effort to fill them up

  • 5/5 Gerhard G. 6 months ago on Google
Lovely shopping here. Although the access to some shops were awkward due to walkways being laid, council could have planned it better.

  • 2/5 Jeremy E. 6 months ago on Google
Sad to say Yeovil is looking very run down now. Perhaps it will improve when the building work is complete. The side of the Quedam that's occupied looks great though. Small independent shops

Great place to visit, Yeovil is being regenerated so lots of work going on in the town centre, can only be for the best shops are starting to reopen well worth a visit 👍👍

It's such a shame that most of the shops are closed but it is undergoing a refurbishment so hopefully the area will be thriving again.

Totally disheartening to see what has happened to our town, far too many shops are now boarded up and the bottom half of town looks like a bomb has gone off. Looks depressing and we actually gave up having a look around and went home. Planning on a trip to Dorchester or Weymouth town next week to see if they are better and more inviting. As for Yeovil town it looks dead, to many vape shops / phone shops / coffee shops, so if you're planning on a shopping spree take my advice and find another town to go to. Yeovil is only fit for scrap heaps!

Been better days. I suppose it is Covid fault that many shops closed so left only few. Also not too much to do as well. At least to have any nice drink or shop for few things is better than nothing.

  • 4/5 Geoff W. 1 year ago on Google
It was closed. It was past 9pm on a Sunday night when I got there. Get your act together Google! Actually though, less than a year ago, this place was almost full of tumbleweed. Half of the shops were empty. Back to its best now . Worth going.

More a small area of pedestrian streets than a 'centre'! Dog allowed. Quite pleasant area with reasonable selection of stores ie Primark, M&S, H&M, etc.

  • 3/5 Sue C. 1 year ago on Google
Some of the smaller independent shops were closed when I got there. I've lived in yeovil all my life and if m/s went there would be nowhere I could buy clothes that fit or my age group.

I parked up and had my car validated, however I was charged with a parking ticket! However I tried to pay, several times and on multiple floors. However when I got my parking ticket from Parking Eye they were not interested! I had witnesses and tried to ask for CCTV. footage which would have shown me trying to pay, however I was declined. Forced to pay, then on Facebook I was blocked from the Quedam Centre Facebook post because I guess they did not want to hear my voice!

  • 3/5 David H. 1 year ago on Google
The shopping centre is fine, but the car park is a disaster! Look very carefully at the signs before you park and then pay at the exit! Also, maybe look at the many reviews for the car park - oh dear, oh dear! I feel very sorry for the poor man that answers the phone when you ring to complain. Try emailing the centre manager - your message will bounce back..... I wonder why!

I gave it a 3 because in the 5 years we have been visiting family in the area it has started to look a bit sad with shops closing re Covid and the current economic climate. The shops that are here are good and worth a visit, especially Dunelm,M& S and Primark and some nice eateries. I understand the council are in the process of upgrading the town centre and I look forward to updating my score when this work is complete.

Very disappointed to see how bad this once thriving shopping centre has deteriorated. Plenty of empty shops that were once full, now it seems only charity shops and phone shops thrive. That said what a gem of a place the Elephant Moon is, it's like stepping into a cross between Diagonal Alley and Delhi. Great products, reasonably priced and attentive and knowledgeable staff. The management of the Quedam could do well by getting more small specialist shops into the empty ones at reasonable rents and breath new life into a rather featureless and sad precinct.

  • 2/5 Edward B. 2 years ago on Google
Some shops other than charity shops and phone repair shops would be ideal. Draws the most crowds when used as the half marathon finish line.

I’m afraid I remember The Quedam of years ago when it was filled with all the quality high street retailers that have either now gone out of business or moved to satellite retail parks. There’s very little there now to entice shoppers from other areas. HMV, H&M, TopShop and the back entrance to M&S and Primark. Sad. Laura Ashley, Monsoon, River Island, BHS all long gone.

  • 3/5 Chriso B. 1 year ago on Google
I personally wouldn’t class this as a shopping centre. There is no precinct, more of a few shops along streets. A lot of shops walking around had closed down. Free parking on a Sunday was nice!

  • 3/5 Mike G. 11 months ago on Google
Looking tired, but some good shops, usual High Street offerings. My only issue is parking, spaces are very tight, and vehicle recognition system has caused issues in the past, managed by a third party, Parking Eye. Impossible to speak to anyone. Awful.

few more shops open now compared to last year , fair selection hopefully this is the start of the return of the shopping centre as it used to be quite good in the 90s and 00s

  • 3/5 Sarah C. 1 year ago on Google
Only ventured into Marks and Primark as a lateish shop. Both were good managed to find gifts for various people. Haven't been round the Quedam in ages but seem to remember last time I did there were a few empty shops. Hopefully, that will be sorted by Yeovils regeneration.

Oddly I really like the Quedam. Holland & Barrett was very friendly and M&S is great these days. With Boots they had all o wanted within 5 minutes walk. Brilliant.

To be honest. A lot of shops have shutdown now. Not sure if your shopping it's worth travelling unless your local.

Clinging to life and slowly but surely regaining traction after COVID struck it baron. It's still not the lovely place you'd see tonnes of people enjoying shopping on a Saturday, but it'll get there if it can continue to weather the storm. So far it's been the financial crisis, COVID, Brexit, the energy crisis and a second financial crisis. If the quedam can get the right shops in place, which may mean lower rental costs to reduce its limitation on high end shops and encourage smaller more niche shops in to tenancy, it'll thrive once again. Yeovil has a vacancy for a Caves replacement, and could benefit from a gaming shop in the town centre again, there used to be 3 within 100metres, now there's none, yet gaming has become huge since then with twitch and eSports on the rise.

  • 3/5 Paul A. 10 months ago on Google
Seen better days before Covid, but hopefully some of the empty shops get filled.

25 min drive and free parking for a Sunday shopping trip. Shops that we don't have normally (in Dorchester) so serves its purpose well for us. Actual shopping street is always well decorated throughout the seasons, with a special flair around Christmas time

The Quedam looked really good on a cloudy Tuesday afternoon after a visit to Cineworld, the floral displays and the visiting dinosaurs are helping Yeovil look a tiny bit cheerier! 😁
