So sad that so many shops were empty. Only two open on upper floor walking along the long balcony bit n it was deserted. Very disappointing as visitors to the town to find it so empty and would not go back but the seafront area was very nice with great parks beach n attractions. N

Guys … this place is awful. The carpark looks like a crime capital and the lifts are always broken. It’s in a sorry old state and there’s literally only a couple of shops here … please god the local council get to work and sort this out. TKMaxx is great buys it’s pretty much the only thing here.

Nice little undercover shopping walk with a good mixture of shops including TK Max and sports Direct. Plenty of small independents included. A little underused in my eyes and a couple of empty shops reflect that.

This shopping centre needs a new face-lift, like most parts of the town centre. The Council has totally ignored the needs of the people and the tourists. It isn't good to have a good Port and the town totally rundown around it.

Huge shopping mall with plenty of quality shops with a wide range of different options, great for a walk on sunny days. The parking is quite accessible although a bit expensive but is just right on the mall.

What a shame , the once busy, lively and exciting town of Torquay is no more. My first time back in 3 years and I’m afraid COVID has hit this town hard, many shops shutdown, everywhere looks like it’s seen better days. Like a previously dapper old boy who’s forgotten how to get a hair cut or have a shave , such a shame .

Decent shops, very clean. Empty units could be filled if the rents are more favourable. You can't rely on major outlets alone. Please attract more sole traders too.

Usual Spoons fare. Two bars on split level. Car park at the back for arcade shopping and walkway directly to the pub

0 stars for the shameful empty shops, dirty handrails and disgustingly dirty lift call buttons. 2 stars because I'm glad there's still a couple of independent businesses keeping fleet walk upper level alive....

Has christmas lights up so looks very nice at night. Plenty of shops cafes and bars, spoilt for choice. Never been to Torquay and can see why it's a popular holiday destination.

The lady that served me was a credit to her shop. She welcomed me to the shop as I walked in and was unfailingly helpful as I looked for the shoes I wanted. I purchased a pair of shoes and a pair of slippers and was very pleased with them.

Not sure of the man's name but one staff member here is brilliant he's chatty and always happy to help. Love the food and I am a returning customer

Sea front always looks good at Torquay but from the Town Hall down through the shops the traffic is heavy and fast. Fleet Street shopping area is quieter. Toilet facilities in this area are abysmal and mainly closed. Does not compare with Paignton. Such a shame to see Torquay let to be so run down over the years.

Some parts of Torquay are looking proper shabby and run down,I remember, the 70s, when it was booming, loads of shops, no one begging in doorways, or high on spice at the top of the town, it's disgraceful how it has been allowed too get this bad, Torbay is still a beautiful area of Devon, I have always loved the bay with a passion, it's time it was brought back too its original splendour, the buildings in the town centre could be renovated and rented or sold too people who want too live in the bay, and restored too the original condition, some of the hotels have been converted into flats... Very dated BUT most shops open which is rare. The car park and lifts should be a game on the crystal maze needing a degree to navigate. Parking is very cheap though.

Great area to shop around, however many shops closed down. Hopefully shops are coming that will add more excitement

Lovely concept of independent shops, but due to high business taxes it’s difficult for small businesses to afford to sell their products here. Many businesses are forced to close which is very unfortunate. I used to love shopping here.

Lots of shops closed on the first floor, but there is a KT Max pound land and a free toilet on the first floor. Also a wetherspoon and KFC

Nice but no access for pram or wheelchair except from the lift in tkmax, so if you don't know there's the lift there you won't be able to go upstairs...

Lovely shopping area, unfortunately like everywhere there are some empty shops. Also, just a short walk from main shopping precinct. They hold markets here three times a week as well.

Whilst most restaurants were sparcely populated in the high Street. Weatherspoon in the Fleet Walk was busy and buzzing during the lunch period.

Nice range of slightly more unusual shops here so it's a good place to find a gift which is a bit different. There are a number of premises which have closed down, but the site close to TK Maxx will soon be opening as a Santa's Grotto again.

What a shame Torquay council would rather have empty shops. Than help new businesses to be able to afford the rent. Idiots.....

Lots of empty premises and escalator one end out of action but the sports direct and the tk max stores are well stocked with good prices

  • 4/5 Karen T. 1 year ago on Google
Went into TKMax, I must admit it was a lot nicer inside than my local store. Brought 2 jackets as we forgot to bring coats with us. Very reasonably priced as well. Clean & very helpful staff

Took my parents out for the day which aren't very mobile, theres a life which takes you to each level and its very well signed and stairs didn't smell like some, nice shopping place worth a visit

Used Wetherspoons exceptionally busy so much so that the staff had a job keeping the tables clean and clear of glasses and plates etc, toilets a discrace it would appear more staff are required to keep cleanliness to the fore

Nice place, most of the shops r upstairs/escalator, tk max, sports direct, some independent shops, which is good bcos u don't see the basic run of the mill shops ,which can be Boring at times, at one end of the centre, u do have a wetherspoons pub, the green ginger, for lunch/ dinner

It's not to bad, alot of the shops have closed down but there is still a good variety, some parts are a bit run down like many other towns which is a but sad

Artizan gallery is excellent for original pieces of art by local talented artists.

A few nice quaint gift shops and a sports direct to be found on the first floor above the Main High street. Accessible via an escalator near TK Maxx or Sports Direcr at the other end. Worth a walk up and a walk around for sure. Includes a candle soap gift store.

It is what it is. Somewhat rundown, but does have a Starbucks and TX Maxx. Can't really complain as long as you know what's going on. Fun fact: Opened by The Princess Royal a long time ago! I was there.

A few shops, one was a Christmas shop. Open all year round. Other shops are there and Escalator to get up to 1 St floor to shop.

  • 3/5 Linn W. 9 months ago on Google
The area is a bit run down now-a-days . Used to be great for shopping. The stores that are there are very good.

  • 3/5 Valerie E. 1 year ago on Google
Not many shops worth looking at. Kids doing wheelies in front of the buses and the amount of traffic allowed is ridiculous, should be reverted back to Fleet St. It's certainly not a pleasant experience.

Lots of businesses gone under. Lots of shops empty and closed. When entering shops, employees are not interested in helping customer. When asked for assistance it is almost as if they are doing you a favour. Low quality products. Over priced.

The main shopping streets and a theatre that has been closed for who knows how long are letting Torquay down .Honeymooned here in 1969 and keep coming back down from Yorkshire but my wife and self seem to be seeing what was a great resort going down the pan.

Great selection of shops, just a bit run down and in need of a cash boost to the area

  • 5/5 Graham E. 1 year ago on Google
This is good never seen anything like it in a town they escalator up and Down to the next Level to the shops.

  • 4/5 Marks M. 1 year ago on Google
The idea was a good one but things have changed so much these past two years and most of the shops upstairs have closed down. But Torquay is beautiful.

  • 5/5 bernard m. 9 months ago on Google
if you use the multi story c/p you will come out on fleet walk with its little unusual shops and at the end there is Tk's.. sadly the escalators didn't work... again...but theres a lift back at the c/p... well worth a visit..
