I do not normally write reviews but after my recent visit to Sydney Goldwyn opticians of Shipley I would like to share my experiences. After an eye test, Matthew carefully assessed my needs. I viewed various frames and was given expert guidance by the manager Peter. When my glasses arrived I was delighted with my improved vision and the way they fitted. After my experience I have no hesitation in recommending Sydney Goldwyn opticians of Shipley.

A very thorough eye test by Mathio. Shami and Ali were very helpful with selection of frame and lens options. My glasses with varifocal lenses to a complex prescription were ready to collect in a week! Outstanding service.

Exceeded my expectations immensely,great service. Matthew who conducted my eye test was very professional. Shami who dispensed my glasses was very helpful in finding out which lens I needed. Ali and Javed who over saw the whole thing were instrumental in getting my prescription done.

Fantastic service from Ali, Javaid and Shami. Never had such a thorough eye examination the technology these guys have is space age. I most definitely recommend them.

I just want to give a big thank you to shamy I hope I spelt that right.she was amazing in going above and beyond for me in adjusting a pair of sunglasses which I had bought elsewhere which weren’t the best fit on me. I must say she has well and truly worked her magic on them as they are now way better than I could have ever imagined. Definitely coming back here again and highly recommend this practice.thumbs up from me

What a brilliant Opticians! They have some amazing optical equipment I've never seen before. The optician was brilliant and took time checking my eyes. No rushing about here, which in my opinion is fabulous! Ali the dispensing optician was very patient and is a lovely happy gent and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. He also served me a complimentary coffee and a chocolate! I would highly recommend this optician. 10/10

I knew my eyesight was nit perfect and I decided to see proper opticians. I found Sydney Goldwyn Shipley through Google reviews. These guys are legends. Their in house technology is I have not experienced at any other Opticians. The team are fabulous. Ali has been exceptional through out the journey. So glad I found you and will not been using anyone else. Highly recommended.

First class optical care with the very latest machines to assess eye health. Always interesting to see the back of the eyes in the very many ways they investigate. And really good frames from great brands, Rayban, Oakley, Tom Ford etc. Real attention to detail in taking measurements to get your glasses just right. Plus, they are really nice people!! There are good reasons I've been coming here for 20+ years!!

Lovely and helpful staff, I bought my glasses from vision express, the screws in my glasses felt out. I knew if I took it to vision express they will charge me an arm and a leg. I took it to these guys, they sorted it out straight away, offered me and everyone that walked in a coffee or tea. The best part! I didn’t get charged for it. The customer care is just on another level.

very happy and pleased with Sydney Goldwyn experience, well recommended. My father who is highly diabetic was struggling to see was given an emmergency appointment. He had a thorough eye test which made him feel very happy and satisfied with the personal care he recieved by Javaid. Peter was very helpful advising my father on the ideal lense and frames. My daughter who can not sit still also had an appointment. she was kept engaged and informed about all the different types of glasses available. Had a lovely cup of tea made by Peter and invested in some amazing Ray Ban sunglasses, cant wait for the sunshine 😀 Thank you very much, cant wait to visit again.

I was very impressed with the standard of care I received at my latest eye test carried out by Matthew. The practice has some new state of the art equipment and the eye test is very thorough and detailed. Matthew explained the results to me and took the time to answer my (many) questions. I found Peter’s advice invaluable when I was choosing my frames and he helped me pick a design better suited to my face than my previous pair! The cup of coffee offered by the gentleman on reception that day was very welcome and he took the trouble to ensure everything was to my preference.

I’ve worn glasses for nearly 50 years so I’ve had many eye tests and pairs of glasses! This was unlike any other optical experience I’ve had, it was very thorough throughout , friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and with a huge range of frames to choose from. Not only did I have to be happy with everything , they had to be happy too, that level of service is amazing . I now wouldn’t go anywhere else , and I highly recommend them. Thank you guys ! Queenie

Decided to change opticians after an eye incident. I have chosen this service because they do emergency appointments and are located closer to my current address. Just had my first check up and ordered a pair of glasses. I am very happy with the service: staff is very friendly and helpful. My eyes were fully checked and they have helped me to choose the frame for the glasses. The whole experience is very pleasant and the membership is worth its money.

The best opticians. I have returned to these guys because of the quality of service and attention to detail. Peter is very knowledgeable on the frames and lenses. They have an excellent range of quality frames, which Peter will go through with care and detail. Ali helped finalise my order and he went out of his way to make sure I got exactly the lenses I needed I highly recommend these opticians. You'll be in the best possible care.

Very thorough, helpful. Vision with new glasses really excellent. Highly recommended. Although not a budget option you do get whst you pay for.

Used the Shipley branch on 2 occasions and always find them brilliant, welcoming and supportive. Excellent service all round from start to finish. Highly recommended. They also have a wide range of prescription rayban glasses.

Service here is second to none. From the moment I stepped into the shop I received excellent care. My new specs are brilliant. I opted for Rayban varifocals with transition lenses. They were also polarised to reduce glare and I have found them perfect. Peter recommended various options and I am extremely happy with them. It was the first time I had had specs from Sydney Goldwyn but it certainly won’t be the last.

Very thorough and well done eye test. After my eye test I was given trial contact lenses and they were the most comfortable lenses I’ve worn and gave me the best vision I’ve had in years. Was given good advice and treatment options for kerataconus. Recommend 10/10.

Fantastic optician 10/10 service and the facilities and equipment they have is like no other I have experienced. You leave knowing the health of your eyes have been checked to the best ability. They also have a fantastic range of glasses to chose from and the individual care you get makes you feel special. Very highly recommend to anyone who wants the best service for their eyes.
