Drake Circus is a large shopping mall located in the heart of Plymouth, UK. The mall offers a wide variety of shops, including popular high street brands, as well as cafes and restaurants. The mall is well-maintained and clean, with a modern design that creates a pleasant shopping experience. The layout is easy to navigate, and there are plenty of seating areas throughout the mall. The parking facilities are convenient, although they can be busy during peak shopping times. Overall, Drake Circus is a great place to shop, eat and socialize in Plymouth.

Crazy busy, lots of shoppers and nowhere really to sit between the shops unless you go to the top floor. Lifts are in constant use so as a wheelchair user be prepared to wait in queue as most people are too lazy to use the escalators

Fantastically decorated mall, good parking space, lots of traffic, clean downtown, big shops, good fast restaurants, and nice casual stalls.

Good shopping centre with a good selection of shops for all the family. Facilities are always clean and well looked after. Plenty of parking too, albeit pricey. Would be nice to see a few independent businesses too.

This is a really nice modern shopping centre. It has a fresh new feel about it and had some big brands. There's plenty of space and has good facilities.

Many shops to choose from ( even thought slightly more variety would be nice). Had a fun day out. The decorations were really pretty.

Good selection of shops and cafes. VERY busy but social guidlines were enforced well via a one-way system and lots of staff. Ample parking above the shopping centre but slightly expensive due to being in the centre of town as expected.

Drakes is your standard shopping centre as far as shops go with all the usual chains you expect to find - if you're looking for quirky local shops then this is not the place. Nevertheless it has everything you need and is lovely inside, clean, spacious with seating dotted around.

Very nice and offers variety top brands and high street stores, ranging from apparel, footwear, accessories, health and beauty and electronic. Great shopping centre to visit and shop, with wonderful clean toilets and facilities.

Drake Circus should be an example on how to run a shopping centre. Plenty of security and well maintained. There are lots of events throughout the year which involve both local and large companies. In recent times, the COVID response has been amazing. I feel super safe going to Drake Circus with a clear one way system which is actually kept to!

Great place but a worker told us to get out of the bauble photo decorations because ‘they’re for kids.’ We’re 16 and were taking pictures in it. A middle aged couple came over and took a picture in it right after us without reprimand. Unfair.

Lovely shopping centre in the middle of Plymouth, good amount of shops and nice layout

Good selection of shops, got all my christmas shopping done in one trip! Whilst there are quite a few benches already, i would say it does need more seating as (as someone with a medical condition that causes fatigue) i couldn't find somewhere free to sit when i needed to - i went midweek too so i hate to think what it's like on the weekend!

Best thing I can say is at least it's under cover from the elements. Don't understand why people see fit to drag their dogs around places like this. I understand some stores allow dogs to be brought in. Recipe for disaster in my opinion.

Great 👌 Mall, Enjoyed My Visit,

  • 4/5 Ed M. 2 years ago on Google
One thing, not enough seats in the building if you look around people hanging around shops corners on entrances, hope someone look in too and drop some benches. Yes it is few eating areas to chill and eat but again young family's with kid's specially for dads wants peace and quiet.

Main shopping centre in Plymouth. Good selection of shops and cafes available. Although the Food court can improve with some more space and choice. In the middle of the city with quite a spacious car park too!

  • 5/5 ros m. 2 years ago on Google
Clean, bright and a pleasure to visit. Especially so as dog friendly with dog drinking stations at each entry. Well done! Pity I was turned out of Primark, as no dogs rule despite having absolutely no signage to say so!

As generic city centre shopping malls go this is one of the good ones. Many clothes shops and a few more interesting shops spread across the levels. With all the exits opening out onto the town centre you can easily get to your destination which ever route you take.

Best place for shopping though Unlike UAE it is not a skyscraper. It has luxurious brands like tommy, marks and spencer, H&M. Clean atmosphere.

  • 5/5 Daren W. 1 year ago on Google
Great shopping centre loads of shops wide selection for women and men and children both clothes and cosmetics. Plus there is a Superdrug that is opening soon. Also handy for parking and in the centre so there plenty of shops just outside. Plus plenty of choice for something to eat and drink well recommended 😃😃😃😃

  • 3/5 Rose D. 2 years ago on Google
This is quite a small shopping centre with not much to offer. Definitely better than your average corner shop but that's all. I do find it nice if you want a fancy setting during your boots shopping session and a quick lunch however if you expect a luxurious mall experience this is definitely not the place to find it

  • 4/5 Kay H. 1 year ago on Google
Love the shop. Price is right. Although big queues, service is so speedy you hardly notice. Clean, friendly staff always willing to go out of their way. 4 star? Clothes don't go big enough for the more curvy ladies.

  • 4/5 Chris H. 1 year ago on Google
Not as big a shopping centre as thought and quite a few high end stores like Hugo Boss and TAG but does have a Yo Sushi!!

  • 4/5 Da R. 1 year ago on Google
I rate shopping centres by how long I want to stay in them, plus how long I actually end up staying in it. This one was a treat. Clean, fresh, great array of shops, right amount of busy, nice vibe and great layout. Will definitely go back. Ps. 1) Photo is of the roundabout leading to the building. 2) there are other car parks a short walk away if the Drake Circus car park is full!

My fave place for shopping in Devon! Got everything you need. Great place to park up and explore from and grab coffees/food and shopping while you're at it - you don't need to go into the High St although we often do. It's just outside the doors!

  • 5/5 Faye C. 4 months ago on Google
You want something you're going to probably find it here. From Primark to Flanel, cheap to really expensive. Lots of Coffee shops & some places to eat too like YoSushi. I don't come here very often but I love it when I do. Definitely recommend 👌

  • 5/5 Chris P. 4 months ago on Google
This is a fantastic shopping centre it has everything. It's always clean and tidy. There is always staff to help you if you need something. First class

  • 4/5 Kerry C. 7 months ago on Google
It's a great place to do all your shopping under one roof. I do find some of the shops are really expensive tho but others are great. You can shop, get lunch and or grab a coffee all while staying dry and if you drive in there is parking right there too.

Drake Circus has a varied number of shops on two floors including a number of well known brands. There are a few empty shops including the main cafe at the time of this review. The mall is kept clean along with the toilets. Parking is in the form of a multi storey car park over the shops. The car park operates using ANPR resulting in no tickets or tokens to lose, simply enter your vehicle registration in the machine before returning to the vehicle and pay (card only).

Bright, clean, colourful, a real visual display especially with the most wonderful giant jelly fish decorations. Really enjoyed our visit today. Fab shops.

Drake Circus Mall in Plymouth is a vibrant shopping destination that offers a diverse retail and dining experience. The mall's modern architecture and spacious layout create a pleasant atmosphere for visitors. Shoppers can find a wide range of shops, from popular high-street brands to boutique stores, catering to various tastes and budgets.

  • 3/5 Gareth H. 8 months ago on Google
Named after a famous pirate and slaver. He later went on to defeat the Spanish and became a hero, different times !! Ended up having a modern shopping arcade named after him. If I'm wrong and it's named after a male duck, then I apologise. No circus located but plenty of the usual shops.

  • 5/5 Tony C. 8 months ago on Google
It is a shopping centre. No, I am not being sarcastic but that is what it is. There is a very good selection of shops and many places to eat. I doubt that many would find reason to complain about the choices on offer. The parking is also very good and not too highly priced. I am not a person who normally heads to shopping centres but if I were imagine that I would go to Drakes Circus rather Exeters development called Princesshay. Princesshay is much closer to where I live but not as good.

It's always easy parking and your never at a loss for spaces unless it's a super busy day combined with summer holidays or Christmas. The mall is always clean and never smells weird or stale. The shops available are great with a wide variety, instead of just clothes shops for women which is often the case. Overall you can get almost anything you need in drake circus.

  • 4/5 C A. 8 months ago on Google
Good for clothes shopping. The car park is accessible and has good sized bays- there are usually spaces and the charges are reasonable (it is all cashless now too so you just put your reg in the machine and pay on your way out). The mall itself is always clean and there's a good range of shops.

Great shopping centre has everything you need coupled with stunning art installations and so clean and bright makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. The only problem with these centres is and always has been... With town centres dying on their feet these bright, shiny expensive shopping experiences do they come at the cost of the rest of the high street? Fabulous place to shop everything you need... Just like the internet... Why venture any further?...

  • 4/5 Chris L. 1 year ago on Google
It's a fair sized mall with all the usual, and expected, stores. Clean and tidy. The toilets were fine. Parking was easy. Something for everyone.

  • 4/5 Chris Lyme R. 1 year ago on Google
It is what it is, probably one of the better shopping centres but still the usual plastic offerings. Plymouth is a great city to visit though full of history and it always seems to be thriving, including drake circus which is always busy at a weekend. It's clean and safe and well worth a visit.

  • 4/5 Charlie J. 1 year ago on Google
Parking is pretty good but busy, a little overpriced too for small visits. Decent but small selection of stores but decent food choices and large stores make it easy to get what you need quickly! Pretty central to the rest of the shopping options you may need too!

  • 5/5 Matthew S. 1 year ago on Google
Need more seating, however seating that is available is jolly good for people watching. Lots of shops, and somewhat decent range of fast food on top floor, but must admit, I've never gone up there and fancied of of their spuds. Could have better range of food places on 3rd floor, but otherwise, overall, jolly good stuffs

  • 5/5 Jacqueline D. 1 year ago on Google
My first visit for a couple of years and so good to see all the shops are open and very busy. Lots of choice and several bargains to be found in my favourite places. Then time for a coffee break at Starbucks. Will be going back soon for a bit of Christmas shopping 🌲

  • 4/5 Ian T. 3 years ago on Google
Drake Circus is good. At the moment there were a lot of people wearing face masks in and out of the shops. But apart from that, there are a lot of people wondering around shopping. There is a M&S café which is very good.

  • 5/5 Harry B. 3 years ago on Google
Busy place, however, very well managed, with good social distancing in place. Clear signs around the whole place. Good amount of staff on hand to help and direct people in a one way system, which works. Even if there are a few who feel it doesn't affect them.... 🤔

  • 4/5 Andy F. 3 years ago on Google
Really good, well thought out one way system if only people followed it. Having said that it does work well and was easy to use.

  • 4/5 Jasmin L. 3 years ago on Google
Very well organised friendly people and staff. Starbucks is a let down even before the lockdown I avoid if I can 😐

  • 5/5 Wendy H. 3 years ago on Google
Somebody with too many brain cells and not much common sense has made a mess of the social distancing markers. It's all one way but some people can't be bothered to go all away around just when they need to pop in somewhere that is next to them but on the opposite side of the walkway. Please take it all down and rethink, for the good of the people who have had enough of this already.

  • 5/5 GEW J. 3 years ago on Google
It's a great place to visit with your family and you will be able to purchase almost anything you could need from the many shops within the mall. They have implemented a range of safety features to deal with the coronavirus situation. If you want a great place to visit, shop and eat/drink then visiting the mall in Drake Circus is definitely a place worth a look.

  • 1/5 James E. 3 years ago on Google

Clean and tidy as it should be. Not overly busy now the festive rush has ended. Nice to see security in full presence, not just at the door, but actively walking around, and helpful when I asked where the shop I wanted to visit was. Little things etc. Thank you for being there, and ever vigilant in current times. I'm not being flippant when I say that. In the current day and age, eyes need to be everywhere. Don't be offended. Stay safe and take care. Marcus.

Always clean and tidy, the unsung hero's are the cleaning staff and Marshall's, especially at this time keeping us all safe and trying to get those that don't care to follow the rules to protect others. Is sad to see businesses leave - a sad sign of the current COVID-19 times. So a message to all the silent workers - thank you for all your hard work.

Well what can one say about about this, the individual shops are fine. The overall design of the the building is a bit of a let down however. Floors are however somewhat precarious if you are elderly or disabled.

  • 5/5 Edward D. 3 years ago on Google
Even though it was busy there was plenty of parking. Everyone wore masks. The security was strict but not over the top. There were entry and no no entry signs everywhere to help keep foot traffic moving safely. There were as always the loud outspoken complainers but all in all it was a very good very safe shopping trip. The staff and the security remained "human" and not robotic. I will be more then happy to go there again.

Drake Circus is a great mall with an amazing array of shops for all. So happy you have welcomed more affordable but luxurious brands like Rituals Cosmetics . They sell beautiful feel good products and it’s so lovely to be able to experience a physical store with such warm service instead of purchasing online .
