RUPALI IS BACK OPEN TO EAT IN! We ate there again tonight after a long break and the food was EXCELLENT. I've been coming here for years. My kids come here. My parents, my friends, their parents. What does that tell you? It is small and friendly, great value for money, and the staff remember you. Never had a bad meal here and if something isn't quite right they will sort it for you. By far my favourite part is that they will design a curry for you. Talk about what you like and how spicy, and they will create it for you. I love eating out and eat at restaurants all over the country. By far one of my favourites is the Rupali and I keep coming back year after year.

Wonderful meal last night. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful as usual. They take care when providing meals for my daughter who has a severe food allergy. They have done this for many years and not just since the new rules on allergy information came into force. Thank you guys.

By far my favourate indian restaurant. I have been eating here for years now and will absolutely continue to do so, although it isnt the biggest of places, the food, the service and the hospitality is out of this world. Everytime i go here im always entered with open arms by the friendly, jolly people that work here. The waiting staff are always smiling and chatty to make you feel comfortable. The food is impeccable and i cant rate it highly enough. I prefer a more mild dish so its rare i will venture towards the vindaloo/fal area on the menu but i can definatley say that although i like a curry abit more mild, i have NEVER had a "bland" meal here. Every dish is packed with flavour and taste, from your creamier curries to a dry one. From the quality of the meats to the sauces and everything inbetween, it is absolutley outstanding. I have taken many people here and they all love it. I would absolutely recommend this restaraunt to anyone.

You have to book! Didn’t know this, walked in off the street, asked for a table for two, made to feel like an unwelcome outcast, so was turned away. Only two tables were occupied in the place! Went round the corner to Kashmiri Aroma, what a difference, place was packed and we were welcomed with warmth and friendliness. Great meal! Walked home past the Rupali, only one table occupied? Won’t be calling back anytime soon.

Firstly, credit where credit's due. The Seekh kebab was a bit different from the norm and very good. The staff were very friendly and the price was reasonable. However, the mushroom pilau rice and chicken Dopiaza were very disappointing. There was nothing terrible about it, all cooked well etc. The disappointing thing was that I've tasted more flavour in a glass of tap water.

Our waiter was sound enough although didn't really seem to have any enthusiasm. The food is not good enough for Bradfordians where there is so much choice. The decor is 1980s-esque and toilets are upstairs. It's a weird thing this place still exists TBF the entire time we were there no one came in to eat (there were two take outs). It's pretty evident it's dead because the staff have a TV they just sit and watch when it's quiet. This is basically in the restaurant.... There is no uniqueness to the experience or the food. There appears to be no diamond in the rough here although I'd love a response from the staff letting me know what I missed! Apologies but Rupali is one to miss.

Without doubt the best value curry house in Baildon. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is very good quality and you get good sized portions. Best of all it has the best prices of any of the curry houses in Baildon. I thoroughly recommend Rupali.

Visited this evening as working nearby. It was quiet but lots of takeaways. The owner was very nice and advised on the local area as well as the menu choices. Having ate in lots of Indian restaurants I’d happily say this is up there with the best. I had the chicken madras which was hot and spicy but had the zing of lemon and fenugreek that I love. Delicious naan and lovely fluffy rice. Will definitely be back. Oh it’s also BYO so even better value.

I've been a few times over the last year, loved it every time The atmosphere was a bit quiet to begin with, but once word got it that it reopened, it's often been very busy, dine-ins and takeaway. Recommend booking, especially for large groups of 5 or more. No alcohol license, but you can take your own no problem Service has always been great. The owner has advised us on spice level (we like our food hot, but not so hot you can't eat it) Food, been as a couple and with friends and family, everyone has enjoyed it thoroughly. The price is pretty reasonable, too. You can pay on card, but i try to pay cash in small venues like this.

Great food, but won’t go again. The food was great, it’s a shame after 5 fish starters there was no fish left for main courses. However, the steps to the toilets are awful, sticky, dirty and the flooring needs to be replaced, horrible, if / when these are changed would go again.

You can now take your own alcohol so it makes it cheaper. The restaurant was very quiet which was a shame as the food and service was amazing. This restaurant needs support otherwise I can't see it lasting which would be a shame. Support it, highly recommend

As a family we have come to the Rupali for many years. We travel from Halifax to Baildom just for there lovely Currys. Everyone who work here are lovely. They make the best sauce as my other half says "It's the best he's ever had". Starters and mains are to die for.

Had a takeaway from here Sunday, having moved from the midlands to Bradford I have been constantly disappointed with Bradford Indian takeaways, so thought I would try somewhere a bit further away! Lamb tikka vindaloo was very nice, the meat was tender with hardly any fat and the vindaloo sauce was really good, the only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because it wasn’t hot enough!!

Had to place a last minute large order for a house party for pick up after driving to my usual and finding it closed for refurb. Despite my panic these guys did a fantastic job translating the long list that everyone had written down for me using another restaurant's menu and got it spot on. What's more, everyone loved it - my lamb saag was the best I have ever had. Will definitely be going back - highly recommend.

I arrived at the Rupali restaurant about 8 o clock on a very rainy Monday night, unsurprisingly I was the only customer in the whole place. I decided not have rice with my Chicken Dopiaza so I plumped for chips instead plus Peshawari Nan the waiter obviously fearing for my sanity pointed out that this nan was sweet.,the curry was brought with a hotplate which kept the excellent chicken curry piping hot throughout my meal. Tasty, hot, very good value for money, in a clean nicely decorated establishment, polite and friendly service, well worth a look. A word of caution though, they no longer serve alcohol!

We love rupali....these guys are the nicest! So accommodating. Just talk to them and explain what you want. Never had a bad meal in or take away-collection or delivery. Reasonably priced too. Everyone has their own favourite curry house...if its not to your liking as such you still won't have a bad meal here!
