First of all, the service is extraordinary. Everybody there seems to be enjoying themselves both at work and talking with the patrons. It feels great to be greeted and treated in such a way. Secondly, the prices are very reasonable; starting at 5.5 pounds for a (not so) small portion of fish is great, and the large portion of chips were good, homemade and enough for 2. Third of all, the taste and consistency of the fish and its batter were great. I wouldn't mind returning several times the same week if I didn't live abroad!!!

Cracking Chippy, great traditional fish and chips and marvellous fresh cooked breakfasts! The owners are the loveliest of people, always gives the kids a lollipop and Kitkat when we go in. Can’t wait for them to open again, missing those breakfast sandwiches on a Saturday morning! Hope they are well and will be open again soon!

A good old traditional fish and chip shop. Beef dripping is used here I thought I mention this as it's not for all. The food it bang on everytime and so are the prices. The staff are also very friendly.

Always lovely food and the owners are really friendly. Very, very good value for money and the small fish and chips is a cracking idea as sometimes full size are a bit too much.

I came on here to read what someone had written about this chippy as I overheard a boy laughing on the phone whilst I was in there today buying fish and chips. I have been in a few times and noticed this fish shop were getting prank phone calls (possibly the same person- GLO KILLA). Whilst I was in today the fish shop had a few customers in and the man and woman working there were really busy. The phone rang and the woman broke off from what she was doing to answer the phone. She answered it and immediately could tell it was a prank call. She put the phone on loud speaker and placed the phone on the side and continued to serve real customers. I heard what sounded like a 12 year old boy laughing down the phone saying he had left a comment on here slating their chippy. I almost spat my drink out whilst reading his comment as I have been a customer of this chippy for about 10 years and go there at least once a week. It takes about 25 minutes to get there and pass several other chip shops on the way but the quality of the food being served here and the value for money cannot be beaten. The burgers at this fish shop are the best! The comment written by GLO KILLA made me laugh because there’s no way he sounds old enough to have a son. Also his feedback doesn’t make sense because who would go on to buy something from a fish shop if they had just been abused? Or if they had eaten the food before this phone call was made and thought it was terrible why would they go back? Clearly this boy needs to get a life and stop trying to ruin businesses. Seriously though, quality fish shop. In the last 10 years I’ve never been disappointed.

woman on the phone pretended she couldnt hear me, so i hung up and called back. a man answered and instantly started abusing me and using foul language with my son listening in the background, very poor customer service and have no consideration for other people. the food is also terrible, over done chips and undercooked fish, surprised i didnt get food poisoning!

Best fish shop in west Yorkshire amazing food good selection of cakes as well prices too cheap for what you get !!!!!!!
