You need staff to serve your food also the food needs to be on rotation to make sure it’s fresh the food was quite dry and the potatoes were undercooked. The chef that served the meats had to be told 4 times before the order was right. All in all the experience wasn’t the best and could have been made a lot better by some simple things been done I hope to see improvements will be made in the near future Thanks Toby carvery customer

Regular morning breakfast place, having the best value for a full unlimited English breakfast with Yorkshire pudding. Great to fuel up for a good start of the day. Staff is friendly and place is clean. Usual Toby Carvery breakfast and the eggs are cooked to my liking. The toast machine could be better as the toast is not toasted but do not put it in for a second time as it will come out really burnt. Many had that unfortunate experience as the first one is not that 'crisp' or toasted. Like the sausage, bacon, hash brown and you can also add on unlimited coffee or tea.

I had a carvery and although the meat was excellent (I had a bit of everything) I was disappointed with the Yorkshire pudding - it was very hard, rather than crispy, and even after being soaked in gravy it was impossible to cut. I know that they are put out and kept warm under the lights but isn't there a time limit as to how long they can be left out? This felt like it had been there for more than an hour! I was also disappointed in the poor selection of vegetables on the day.

The server at the carvery was lovely but that’s where the positives end. I stood unattended at the front desk for 10 mins waiting to be seated for a table that I had booked, we had to shout someone over to take drinks and started orders after sitting there ignored. The starters too 25 mins to arrive. The beef was inedible on the carvery full of gristle and the gravy was luke warm. We sat with empty plates for 20 mins, wasn’t asked if we would like anything else and had to about someone over to pay the bill. I definitely won’t rush back

All the staff were lovely. The guy serving the carvery was especially nice and chatty, food was delicious as always. The staff went out of there way to make sure we had a fab time. Singing happy birthday to my daughter and bringing out a cake. Thank you.

Kath, who was our waitress, was absolutely fantastic. We were a group of 12 dining to celebrate a special occasion which we thoroughly enjoyed. Kath was constantly aware if we needed anything and just an amazing employee. Will definitely return.

Hollie delivered excellent customer service - she was kind + helpful. My meal was missing a few items and Hollie was brilliant at correcting this and not making me feel like a pain. Hollie is a brilliant asset to the team!

My fiancé and I come here frequently for breakfast service. The food is always wonderful and the atmosphere is so calm and lovely in the morning! We’ve come once for dinner which was also delicious, but the atmosphere was much more energetic being the dinner rush. If you like a calm peaceful atmosphere, the breakfast service is for you! We much prefer coming for breakfast now ☺️

First time at the Horsforth Carvery, all four of us as a family loved every minute and it was like going home to mums for dinner. It’s such a warm, welcoming, friendly restaurant and the carver was exceptional. Our server was Kath, she was absolutely brilliant, attentive, so friendly and so helpful. Can’t forget the carver he was really great too. Will definitely be going back there again, it’s a fair few miles away but worth it. 10/10

Exceptional value - can’t beat a large carvery for £11! Big thanks to Kath in particular for looking after us with such lovely service throughout

Love a good Toby's, and have recently tried breakfast for the first time (and have returned twice since purely for value for money). Speaking purely on behalf of breakfast experience (dinner-time carvery is always fine), a particular member of staff wasn't very welcoming. You order and pay for breakfast and collect your drinks at the bar, then serve yourself breakfast. Most staff members behind the bar are nice and friendly, but one lady was particularly short with us (Saturday November 18th around 9:10) Luckily it was my second time visiting and I knew what I was doing, because if I was visiting for a first time, I think she'd have made us feel almost like an inconvenience like it isn't part of her job to serve guests at the bar 🙃 I was visiting with my boyfriend and his sister who was visiting from Manchester (who's never had a Toby's breakfast) and I felt embarrassed that we received service like that when she was visiting. Thankfully, other bar staff have been very nice and friendly. Anyway. Decent food. Value for money. Normally a good experience. Will still return in the hopes that that particular member of staff was having a bad day if she serves us again.

A nice catch-up with family over an unlimited breakfast was great. Venue is a little rabbit warren-like but nice. There's plenty of choice and it's help yourself but refillable drinks are just teas and coffee, not refillable lattes etc which you can get at other chains and easily make up the price difference.

We had a carvery here yesterday - 3 Adults and 3 children. Every bit of the carvery was lovely. It was good before but this particular time it was outstanding! Chefs great and waiting Staff also lovely and helpful 5* from all of us.

Good pub, good food. It's your standard Toby Carvery, and has been consistently good for the past few years. Booking on a Sunday is a must, but mid week you can turn up and get a table. There's a decent amount of parking for a standard day, but maybe not a Sunday lunch time.

Food was delicious just some vegetables was hard especially the cauliflower cheese. They had no veg fingers for 2 of my kids so they ended up with just a meat free carvery. The lady that served us was very rushy and didn't speak overly nice to us however we heard her serve a different family which was treat different to us.

We have visited several Toby’s over the years , but this was the 1st time to Horsforth - we were very impressed! Food as usual was great, but the staff was exceptional. They made us feel so welcome. Will definitely go back .

The service was fantastic; Kathleen and another waitress were so attentive and friendly. The chefs serving the food were very accommodating and happy. Lots of joy in this establishment by the staff spreading harmony and goodwill to all!!

Kath was our lovely waitress, she was very friendly and welcoming. She took us straight to a table and asked if we’d like to have drinks with our meal. The food, as always was tasty and hot. We had visited your Chapel Allerton pub recently and can honestly say the food, staff and atmosphere doesn’t have a scratch on Horsforth. Well done everyone you’re the best!

The young man who was carving was very entertaining - asking everyone to guess the weight of the new Turkey Breast - he had everyone chatting and guessing whilst they waited which I thought was fun at what was a busy time. On the minus side there needed to be more help keeping the veg topped up and looking fresh. More than one of the tureens were empty, dry or close to being empty.
