Oakwood Hall is a beautiful old building in the small market town of Bingley. Today we attended a birthday gathering with a buffet. The hard working staff were attentive and friendly. We didn't stay in the rooms as we live locally so I cannot comment on them. I would recommend the hotel for anyone visiting the area and we shall be returning in the future for a meal in the dining room.

Five stars! We arrived early on the Saturday for an event and nothing was too much trouble from parking, arranging a dressing room to change clothes, stash bags, and book a cab. A fantastic team with humour and warmth in abundance, a fantastic setting and service. We'll be back! Rick and Karen.

Was at a 21st birthday party there so did not stay over. A nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Only little inconvenience was that there's a minimum spend of £5 at the bar if paying contactless.

We stayed in a Superior Room, (11) £120 in great need of updating. Unable to use the shower, Mattress was worn out, it was like sleeping on pebbles and could actually feel springs. Pillows hard and lumpy. Tatty pillowcases. The room felt damp, Stains on carpet. Overall it was very disappointing and would certainly not stay there again :-( Staff friendly and obliging. Downstair public areas/rooms very good. Felt overpriced for the quality of stay.

Excellent quality food and service compliments to the chief. We enjoyed the quality of the food and we were made to feel welcome. Would recommend people to go if they enjoy good food and service. Elegant surroundings set in beautiful grounds.

Really nice surprise. Enjoy the stay in a building with "character". Friendly and kind service that contributes to a relaxed atmosphere. Possibility to have breakfast/lunch/dinner with vegetarian options, even if not mentioned on menù. 10 min. walks and you are on the canal with a 5 Rise Locks (to see!!).

Fanatic staff, very welcoming. Food lovely and rooms dated but that's the whole point of the hotel! I loved staying there and very peaceful area. Would return when in area :)

Beautiful area and hotel. Really placed out of the way of the main road so sound is to an absolute minimum.

I didn't stay in the rooms, but ate here. It was not the best organised and some of the cutlery wasn't clean.

Called Hotel on three occasions and left message to try and sort booking. Not one phone call was returned or any contact from Hotel. They obviously do not need our custom. Very unprofessional very poor customer interest.

Lovely old hotel, slightly faded grandeur but well looked after and some lovely features. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous location for walking on the moors. A little distant from Bingley on foot.

A fading giant of a traditional cotton barons 19th century family home, stone exterior and oak and dark wood elegance inside. It seems as though it’s undergoing a slow and methodical enhancement. My room was chipped old oak furniture around a four poster and the kettle lead on an old wobbly side table didn’t reach to the electric socket, but you know what- it didn’t matter. It was comfy, the hotel staff felt like family with their outward warmth and generous nature and the food was VERY good. Will be back for sure and very soon.

Well where to start firstly staff are great very friendly and accommodating that's the plus as for the rest of our stay we thought the hotel itself was in dire need of a refurb rooms are in need of a deep clean everything was dirty or broken no lamp shades on wall lights walls filthy carpets disgusting also no alcohol license so bring your own yet there is a bar there ! As for the breakfast I have no words for what is described as BACON looks more like a dog chew and tastes the same I would not recommend this hotel in a month of Sundays I feel sorry for the staff that have to work there in all honesty I wish you all good luck with the new owners who clearly don't give a damn about there paying guests

This hotel is spot on. The room beautiful the food great and the staff lovely. But today they have been taken over and the bar is now closed no.soft drinks or alcoholic drinks. So you cannot have a glass of wine with your dinner. This means i.will not be returning such a shame. I don't know who's idea it wa but it is not a good one. Anne walker

Attended a beautiful wedding recently & generally the place was very good, good surroundings, good food. Was left very disappointed by the 'poison dwarf' bar tender who was repeatedly rude throughout the day. Hes the only bartender I've met who doesn't like serving people drinks... Nice venue but some staff need to go for personality transplants.

A lovely 22 bed hotel tucked away in a tranquil area of Bingley. Lovely staff and large car park. Generous breakfast. A little old fashioned, but that is a positive.

Nice old hotel with country club atmosphere. Excellent food. Good at putting on receptions where you might pay your respects to a revered old friend.

Stayed here for a couple of nights while attending music festival nearby. Good value. Rooms are a bit dated but extremely comfortable. Staff is very friendly. The night barman was entertaining. Dog friendly and a great park is nearby. Will return.

It snowballs from the first step. The receptionist took care of what i needed and was more than helpful. Bathrooms need upgrades but other than that it's gorgeous. Breakfast is also good. Nice and quiet too! Would definitely go back.

Found online and called direct to book family room and then had to call back to change room as my mum can't manage stairs well and original room was top floor. When we arrived we were still allocated top floor room (which was massive, had four poster and was stunning!) but staff were more than happy to prepare other room as luckily it wasn't booked out or occupied. Price I was expecting was increased as was told I hadn't mentioned the 2 year old and the dogs despite knowing I had done so. Agreed to only increase price by £10 rather than £20. I did not send or receive a booking confirmation which I should have and would request next time. New room was clean, beds were comfy and the breakfast (included in price) was fantastic. Dogs not allowed in restaurant (obviously) so they set us up for breakfast in the bar. The property and location are beautiful, the room was great and the staff were apologetic, professional and friendly which is why I have have still given 5 stars despite the booking issues. Would definitely stay here again!

Good looking gothic style building. Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds even the sofa bed. My room larger than expected. Reasonably priced. Shower less powerful than expected. Room warm. Food at dinner good.

Rooms in great need of updating. Wallpaper lifting badly in shower area. Mattresses worn out. Could actually feel springs. Pillows hard and lumpy. Tatty pillowcases. Paint peeling on internal frames. Toilet seat quite precarious. Stain on carpet. Old tv bracket holes not filled. Staff friendly and obliging. Downstair public areas/rooms very good. Felt overpriced for the quality of stay. Generally disappointed.

I went for a friends 60th. A beautiful building for sure but the food quality was extremely poor at best. Also drinks were enormously expensive ( £3.00 for a J20 ) and around £7 for a pint of tennants. All in all not the best catering experience but a pleasant location non the less.
