A majestic building, and on the whole great. Good customer service, well situated for shopping centre and theatres. The rooms however are a bit dated,in need of some TLC.A good experience but could have been so much more

Old fashioned Hotel but very spacious. Good breakfast with a wide selection of fruit, which hasn't been the case in the last few hotels. Floorboards in room very creaky. Restaurant manager (lady) is very well organised and knows her job. Eyes everywhere.

Had a fabulous stay room was comfortable & clean, staff were very helpful & friendly. I'm originally from Bradford but never been in the Midland Hotel so was very impressed at all the original features. Perfect location town centre & great price. Definitely stay again.

The worst room in Bradford. We expected a lot more than this. Absolutely disgusting. I would avoid this place if it is too late. I have picture of the broken battered bathroom. I ha e pictures. The cold water is nothing but a trickle. And then tried to charge extra for a upgrade before we got to the room. This is a deliberate tactic to get more money. The location is the only thing going for it.

Beautiful old hotel near Forster Square railway station. Room was adequate, mattress has seen better days as has the room furniture. Bathroom very clean. Had dinner in the bar. Steak pie and chips Β£15.95, the pie was lacking meat, plenty of gravy in it and gristle, lots of gristle. Location is close enough to main shopping area and handy for train and bus transport. The lobby and sweeping staircases are a reminder of long gone grandeur.

Fabulous hotel in the city centre. A true gem this one. Cozy rooms and delightful staff await as you arrive. Clean and hygienic and just beautiful. Good lift and safe area that's central. It's well worth staying here as it will improve your experience of Bradford, which is a cracking city that's underrated.

I've known other people stay here and have a nice experience, so maybe I was unlucky with the room, but I can only rate on what I experienced. The room was very old and tired, windows were paper thin, charging sockets by bed didn't work and the bathroom was in a bad way. The hose connecting to the shower head was so short that at maximum height it was only halfway up the bracket so I had to squat very low to wash my hair. Staff were all lovely and breakfast was fine. Very old fashioned and I'm sure it was a luxury experience 30+ years ago but the whole approach doesn't stand up to more modern 3 star hotels.

Been for a works Christmas do. Food very average. Frozen veg and spuds. Bread rolls not fully defrosted. Staff amazing looked after us . Separated our group into 2 tables not good. Not enough choice in the bar in mixer

Lovely hotel. Really clean. Spacious public areas. Excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble and all done with a smile. Food was good. Rooms well appointed with all amenities available. The shower was amazing. There was water pressure! The only downside for me was the afternoon tea. I would have liked there to be more sandwiches than cake. And butter rather than margarine for the scones even if it was butter pats in a dish.

Second time we have stayed here. Lovely hotel . It`s also the second time have had a fine for going into a bus lane. Road signage very miss leading. Would recommend maybe the Midland Hotel but some sort of road map on there web site to avoid the bus lanes. Not criticizing the Midland Hotel in any way. Just a suggestion.

Enjoyed my stay, the service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. The room service was no trouble and I ate in the dining area near the bar. I cannot fault my 3 days. The bed was soooo comfy and all amenities were met. Yes it is an old building but that adds to the charm. A few bits need updating but that is what the form is for in the room to report anything you think needs looking at. Overall I will definitely stay again.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Lovely room, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom.. Friendly staff.. Our opinion the breakfast let it down, was cold served on a cold plate, couldn't mention this as was only one girl serving and was busy. But will stay again when in the area..

My stay at midland hotel was very pleasant. Due to being visually impaired I was accompanied to and from my hotel room by staff and they helped me from my room to the lift even when needing a quick cigarette late at night. I’m very happy with this hotel especially ismail who I had some lovely conversations with while staying there. Thankyou guys.

Wonderful hotel Must have been i creditable to stay there on its heyday. However loved every bit of it from beds towels food staff cleanliness was outstanding. Sadly we were the last to stay under Peel Hotels. Now this week bought by Britannia. Please please keep up those standards. Don't try to fix what is already perfect and amazing . So so glad managed to made it in time Loved every moment. Incredible place Thank you all concerned Lynda

An old hotel which has clearly seen better days. We were allocated a room where the bathroom smelt of sewage/damp and the pillows were stained. When we complained we were moved to another, inferior, room which didn't smell but had frayed carpeting, peeling wallpaper on ceiling, blown painted over or chipped, flaking paintwork and a bathroom door which couldn't be closed from outside. A bit of a dump even for a budget hotel chain like Britannia and at Β£105 for one night ridiculously overpriced for what was on offer. Only plus was free parking. Needs a major refurb as a matter of urgency.

A quick overnighter with friends stayed in executive rooms. Every member of staff we met from housekeeping through to reception and the restaurant especially were super helpful and so pleasant. Free parking and a great location. This is we’re will stay when next in Bradford.

One of Bradfords iconic hotels sadly it is in desperate need of a revamp. Service was great and food very tasty just the decor that let's it down. Great for events though if you're not too bothered 😊

What a pleasant experience! - Courteous helpful people who took the original 'phone reservation - Super location with free parking - Historic passageway at the back: worth coming a long way just to see that - Grand architecture, exemplified by the marvellous sweeping staircase with all the wrought ironwork and the shining wood handrail - Entirely adequate room - Unfailingly cheery and polite staff: receptionist, barman, everyone in the breakfast area Thank you, all at Midland Hotel Bradford

We were on a weekend xmas party night. Rooms clean & comfortable. Bathrooms refurbished & modern. Food was basic . I had a salmon mousse that was rubbery & didn't taste if much. The turkey was dry & some roasts not quite cooked accompanied by mixed veg...French beans Brussels & carrots. Dessert was lemon cheese cake which was okay. The disco was great & singer belting out golden oldies got everyone up dancing.

Went here for a part of my birthday celebration with my family- . Had a good afternoon tea for three and a toddler. A great selection of scones, sandwich and mini cake desserts. We liked the mini cake desserts and scones! May need some improvements on sandwich section. And above all we liked the service provided by Max Tyson who happily offer us anything and came to our table frequently to make sure that we and our toddler enjoyed our tea session. Would recommend it to spend with family and book in advanced. Liked the hotel atmosphere as well!

We had a wonderful weekend here. The rooms were excellent, as was the food. Conference facilities were great and the staff bent over backwards to be welcoming and helpful (and then seemed surprised to be complimented). Considering how city central the location was, it was really quiet.

In the city centre with parking. The food is very tasty Bedrooms are lovely & well heated. We had a bath so that we could soak after wandering around Bradford

Great package in very reasonable price!! The location is in the heart of city center, right opposite to Broadway shopping mall that has most top brands to shop from. Highly recommended to all tourists, new comers to make a reservation with Midlands. The only thing I would love to have in the room is a full length mirror. Rest it's just perfect!! 😍

I went for a meal last week. I had chicken and smoked cabbage. What they failed to say on the menu was the cabbage was cooked with loads of bacon. It should be stated on the menu but wasn't. Lots of people don't eat pork products. Hence I left hungry. Not much variety of desserts either sadly. Disappointing πŸ˜”

Nice to see the little bar back open once again. Hopefully they will get some cask ale on in there instead of having to go to the other bar every time. Lovely ambience and the mural of Old Bradford never fails to impress

I do really like it here, lovely staff, nice food, like the vibe and house keeping is AMAZING! Cleaned room everyday brilliantly and the breakfast to go service was great. However, the heating/aircon wasn't great each room I stayed in is either too hot or too cold. As well as a kind of old musty smell in some rooms, but hey it's an old building. Had issues with the payment both times but was sorted in 10 minutes. Would stay again.

Truly excellent hotel. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The right amount of buzzy in the bar / restaurant. A true gem.

A decent hotel compare to the price. The location is good and free parking space at the property is available. The breakfast is good and the staff is nice. The building is old and so the infrastructure of the rooms.

Stopped one night as with had a voucher to use up . Hotel building was superb, one of my interests , very clean and in good state of repair, if some of the decor was a little dated. Dinner was unfortunately basically a bar meal , served in the bar and not the restaurant, we both had the duck ,which was rather tough . The "starters" were basically a frozen fish cake and frozen cheese balls. Breakfast was served in the very delightful restaurant and all the food at the buffet was very well cooked ,l especially enjoyed the large meaty mushrooms and nicely cooked black pudding.

Midland Hotel is very historical building and the classical light bulb and the unique wall too. Also have a pub inside the hotel. It is very convenient to walk to buy food at nearby restaurants and the shopping mall and the Light Cinema too

What a lovely stay. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, the room huge, the building beautiful and dinner delicious. And the ballrooms are spectacular. I'm trying to think of a reason to hire one!

Plus points - the building itself, entrances and public rooms are Victorian era and really beautiful. The staff are really friendly, check in and check out were efficient and informative. If you are visiting the city centre the location is great, next door to Bradford Forster Square station. Well stocked bar and lots of places to sit in the lobby and landing areas. WiFi worked fine and they have a dedicated room if you need to work and lots of meeting rooms. Lift up to all floors from reception. Sufficient free parking and easy to get to. Nice toiletries, really powerful shower, full size bath, big, fluffy towels and decent hairdryer. Tea, coffee, biscuits, kettle, iron and ironing board also supplied in the room. Comfortable bed (for me - the bed is very firm so obviously this is down to preference!), good pillows, mattress and pillow protectors on bed and linens all very clean. Really thick lined curtains. Cons - our room was quite small and was looking a little shabby. I didn't get any photos but it didn't quite live up to the public areas of the hotel. The building is old and when the people upstairs were moving around we could hear the floorboards creak and the plumbing is a little loud. The sash window only opens a few inches which seems pretty standard in most hotels - it would have been useful to have something to prop it open - I ended up using my shoe! TV was quite small but fine and good selection of channels available, due to the room size and layout it was at a great spot for one side of the bed, not so much for the other! We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the restaurant. Overall if you are visiting Bradford city centre I would recommend for the price.

Wonderful faded glamour of these huge Victorian Station Hotels. This is one of the best ! Of Location superb ! Good large room but would benefit from better ventilation. Evening dining experience wasn't good as waiter clearly didn't have enough experience or adequate training to service this tables needs. In addition your Menu clearly says it's a hand raised steak pie then please serve a "Hand Raised" pie not a poor one from a supermarket or other ! Breakfast service and Menu very good. Have spoken with morning duty manager about training & menu. Will return later in Autumn ! Regards

What a great hotel, was only Β£135 compared to Β£195 for a premier inn. We got upgraded to a 4 poster bed as the hotel wasn't tooo busy. Staff were lovely friendly having a giggle and made us feel super welcome. Hotel lobby and bar is beautiful and period features. The lift albeit a little slow is charming and a old school lift. The room was HUGE jacuzzi bath walk in shower I have stayed in many amazing modern hotels around the world and this although a little dated but thats part of the charm was lovely and spotlessly clean. Think old English as opposed to Dubai. With British customer service and charm I visit Leeds often and will certainly be coming back next month, also walking distance into Bradford centre (much improved also) Highly recommended

We stayed here for our wedding. The staff that took care of us were absolutely amazing. The attention to every detail, the care of us and our guests was outstanding. Nathan did an amazing job looking after us and our wedding. The waiters and bar staff were so kind. The food was lovely and so much of it. We really cant thank the hotel staff enough for making our wedding day so special. Ee stayed in the bridal suite, which had a lovely 4 poster bed with rose petals on. There was a good sized tv, tea and coffee in the room with a beautiful en suite bathroom, with a spa bath. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Thanks again Nathan you did a wonderful job.

Wow, just wow! Really lovely hotel with very grand features. The facilities were lovely and the guys on reception couldn't do enough for you. The room was a good size and very clean. Considering the age of the property, sometimes the rooms can become very tired, but these were nice. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows provided. If I had to have 2 tiny and insignificant grumbles, 1, the cold water wasn't very cold (yes we put the tap the right way) and 2, the view wasn't particularly great - but as we said, we weren't there to look out of the window! Would definitely stay again, it just has that special vibe about it.

Had a fantastic night away at the Midland Hotel for the High School Reunion Murder Mystery event for our wedding anniversary. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and even got to join in with the cast as part of the show, would definitely recommend staying here and the breakfast was amazing
