I love Atkinsons, always find something here for a gift, they have good ranges in all departments and I'm often surprised at what I find, I still like to browse and shop in the real world! - you can also get a nice cuppa and slice of cake and take the weight off when needed.. This independent department store was there when I first came to Sheffield 40 years ago and has survived all the changes around it and in my opinion is cool calm and collected, long live Atkinsons!

My visit to the restaurant at this store was outstanding. ALL the staff were polite, helpful, willing to assist, advise too, a real pleasure to converse with. The food was excellent and i personally felt it was good value. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, no dirty tables. The staff didn't bother that we were there catching up with friends and stayed for quite sometime. I just wish we had something like that in my hometown - York. Hang on to these people they are to be treasured.

Lovely store, go a lot. Staff friendly and helpful and supporting a local Sheffield business! Also so glad you still have Muffin, been around since my childhood! 💛

Always unique items to be found in store wether it be jewellery, footwear or lamps, even children's toys and both the restaurant always having a great selection or the cafe, I always look forward to shopping here

Good cafe and of course the great little coffee shop at the front of the store. They are one of the few stores in the centre of sheffield that sell decent selective clothing items. For both young and old and for larger sized ladies too. Plus they have a much needed bra measuring service for the ladies. They sell white goods. And much more. Great place

The last remaining department store in Sheffield (if you don't include M&S). Good to see the old place keeps on going - somehow when you're in Atkinsons all is well with the world still. Just a couple of areas of improvement- the Menswear could be a little bigger and stock more brands that no longer can be found in Sheffield. And with the demise of John Lewis and Debenhams why don't the owners consider a proper beauty hall? It would do really well!

A bit old fashioned but a stalwart in Sheffield. Fab cafe. Nice clean toilets. Seems to cater for the older person but don't let this put you off. Quality products 👍 One of those shops you're proud your city has

Nice, small, traditional department store on The Moor. Clothes, furniture, toiletries, gifts etc. Also a restaurant, a couple of cafés.

The only department store left in Sheffield…Great store with parking; some good products that are good value, think about supporting local businesses. It even has the chain Grape Tree. Yes, it could do with bringing into the 21st Century in some areas, nevertheless without you shopping, eating, stopping for coffee, how can they make improvements. It will be sad if this store closed, would leave a grey area in the Moor area!. Next time you’re in Sheffield pop in, you won’t be disappointed.

Great to have one family run in dependant proper department store left in Sheffield. Staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Second time I have bought made to measure curtains for my home here, and whilst the prices are not the cheapest, the service and quality is excellent, - not often found in similar businesses these days. Atkinson often run very generous and sales which does help with prices! I am so glad they survived the pandemic.

Always pleasantly surprised by the prices - eg socks at less than Amazon, good quality towels cheaper than Primark - and pleased to discover today that their perfume department is very competitively priced too. Glad to support a local independent shop without having to spend more!

Good place to find clothes, shoes, bags, soaps, even duplicate keys, house furniture as well. And The staffs are very nice.

We called into the Pavers shop inside Atkinsons, where Emma was so helpful and friendly when assisting with our purchase. We also visited the restaurant on the top floor where the staff were very nice and friendly. The food was lovely and at a good price. We also picked up lots of Christmas bits from the ground floor, where that had some lovely items on show. A great shop - like the old days before the internet ruined the High Street.

Excellent store, amazing range of goods, lovely helpful staff. Generally fair prices. Got a few BD prezzies for some of our large family. Pleased (& relieved!)

I really like this store to make a gift or when you have to buy something for the house. The card section is quite large. I also really like glass figures, I think they are beautiful and a good gift for someone special

First visit while we were tooting round Sheffield City centre. Nice bright store with some fancy goods, clothes and gifts.

One of sheffields long standing stores though in the current climate prices are a bit high on some products. There are some different gifts on offer. it has a lovely restaurant upstairs

Atkinson's is my go to place. Got a lovely relaxed atmosphere.. prices reasonable compared to some other places. Unlike big groups such as Debenhams or the like Atkinson's is a family business and there's only one of em, some family members still work there at the Moore shop, which I think is wonderful, it has family at it's heart and you can feel it, it should always be supported.imagine bottom of moore without it..

Very good old fashioned store service quality goods friendly. Very good customer service why can't all the shops and stores in Sheffield b this way..

So much choice. Good traditional customer service. Staff dressed the way used to dress at so many businesses before changing to polo shirts and black uniforms.

I like Atkinsons. I always have. I find it surprising that an independent department store such as this has remained in business when the likes of Woolworth & Debenhams have gone to the wall & John Lewis have moved out of Sheffield. It's a great credit to them. It's good that they have a built-on car park too. Very convenient.

One of the few true department stores still around. Pleasant atmosphere, but I felt a bit like it was closing down as racks were half empty.

Independent Department Store that offers a bit of everything. I always enjoy having a look round as it isn't too big. Cafes are all good with friendly staff. In fact all the staff are helpful. What a great Christmas installation of singing reindeers. And a wonderful selection of Christmas gifts. The staff were courteous as usual.

I don't go here as often as I really should. Probably as I associate it with the older ladies and gentlemen. But there are some proper good deals to be had in here, well worth a look round.

Local Sheffield family firm, and now the only department store in Sheffield. For some reason it has a reputation as being a place for older people but I think that's not the case. Great stock and offers, so worth a visit.

Visited store on Sat 16th. Observed many staff interactions with one another and customers. Billiant. Friendly, smiling, cheerful, helpful, pleasant, respectful. Watche one male staff member from electricals go above and beyond helping an elderly Asian couple find what they were looking for. Excellent. A real department store.

Love this store.they are truly independent. It shows with the different stock. All displays are brilliant and staff from restaurant to sales are first class.

This is the only real department store left in Sheffield. I believe its still locally owned. Loads of different stuff. We used the cafe, it was clean and tidy, service was quick. Food was just fine.

Atkinsons is a genuine place to shop. It may not be the cheapest, but it's not expensive either. There stuff is good quality , and the staff are excellent. It is a great shopping experience.

It's a while.since I've been here. I found a lovely selection of stuff and much of it was modern ..I price checked some of the electrical kitchen stuff as I was looking to make a purchase and they were in the same ball park as everyone else... The store was well laid out and comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly and they got their purchase ! Made a nice change ...I'll definitely go back

Good to see Atkinson's are updating in their stock and it has a more younger feel. However I think the downstairs layout could still be improved to make it feel more modern.

Got 4 dresses, helpful staff in both upstairs and down in Apricot. Clean store throughout need to advertise they do sell clothing not just homewards. Also good for carpets.

It's nice to see a department store still open seeing as though the others such as TJ Hughes, John Lewis etc have closed down. Although I didn't find anything suitable for myself in here (women's clothes were aimed at the older generation) there is a small baby section with the most beautiful attire in and some lovely men's clothes. Everything is spaced out well and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I love Atkinsons, such a wide variety of items, and all good quality. It's my go to shop in Sheffield city centre.

Called in at the weekend, first time in a couple of years and I had forgotten how much variety of goods they have! Really enjoyed browsing around and will be back much more regularly if I need something special

The best shop in Sheffield. Beautifully laid out. Great choice and offers. Also used the restaurant which was lovely. I bought 3 pairs of shoes and had to exchange one pair. Bearing in mind I live 60 miles away,, the shop staff went above and beyond to post new shoes for me. Communication was excellent. Thank you kind lady in the shoe department and Ben !!

What a fantastic find. This is a real hidden and underrated Sheffield diamond. Great menu and they make dishes to order. Ham and cheese omelette, chips and beans. Nicely cooked and presented. Also there is a good selection of sweets too. Mouthwatering all the way. Friendly, warm and genuine staff. Sadly it closes at 3.30 pm. But don't mess around. Get down there, get grub, get happy. Enjoy.

Proper old school department store. Wide variety of goods on sale from potato peelers to fitted kitchens. Traditional and contemporary fashion. Three restaurants and on-site parking. Extremely well maintained store with friendly helpful staff.

I have always loved this store. Sheffield has lost so many department stores recently, I hope those who miss those stores venture down the moor and shop at Atkinson's. It has a car park. It's a charming place.

Family owned. Not much you can't get here, good selection of clothes, furniture, kitchenware, electrical goods etc. Fantastic selection of curtain material. Cafe and coffee bar. Nice shop.

Atkinson's is a very good store and has everything in it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Store is very clean too. Have always liked Atkinsons. What's good about it is that it has a car park too. Worth 5 stars.

My favourite store in town, the cafe on the first floor where the light dept is has the best coffee in Sheffield, you can buy some lovely stuff in Atkinsons very reasonably priced, lovely shoes good fashion.

Maybe I’m biased,but I love this place. Worked there in the early 1980s. Was a fabulous place to work. Went today to meet a friend who also worked there. I bought aftershave and a juicer..Staff so helpful. Mr Nicholas walked past me before I realised.!! Your the only reason I visit Sheffield now. Xx

GREAT PARKING. This shop has been here for as long as I've been alive but it's kept up with the times. For cheap, easy parking I use Atkinsons as it's very close to The Moor and cheaper than any council car park. Also so great to see Muffin still looking fresh although inflation has affect his price - it used to by 2p when I was a kid!

I like it in here. Not quite debenhams which I always loved and still miss so much. Didn't realise it was here until early on this year so then took a friend and she liked it too. Lovely clothes n kitchen things. 😍
