I
absolutely
love
going
to
the
cinema,
we
visited
a
few
weeks
prior
to
the
news
about
Cineworld's
financial
issues
and
it
wasn't
difficult
to
spot
why
they
had
problems.
We
saw
a
film
that
had
been
out
a
few
weeks
and
it
was
on
a
tiny
screen,
it
genuinely
felt
no
different
than
watching
our
TV
at
home,
made
worse
by
the
aspect
ratio
of
the
film
meaning
the
image
didn't
even
fill
the
screen.
It
was
also
some
of
the
least
comfortable
seats
in
recent
cinema
visits.
The
foyer
at
Bradford
Cineworld
is
huge,
when
it
opened
there
was
need
for
a
box
office,
it
had
a
cafe/bar
and
B&R
ice
cream
counter,
a
selection
of
arcade
machines,
huge
displays
for
upcoming
films
and
it
also
had
lots
of
staff
and
more
importantly
lots
of
people.
Every
trip
to
the
cinema
felt
like
an
event,
it's
really
sad
to
see
the
decline.
We
arrived
20
mins
before
the
film
start
and
it
was
like
a
ghost
town,
despite
passing
dozens
of
people
waiting
to
go
into
the
bowling
next
door
and
a
busy
shopping
centre,
nobody
was
at
the
cinema.
Management
hadn't
even
bothered
to
open
the
ice
cream
counter,
probably
not
worth
the
staffing
and
electricity
costs.
Ticket
prices
were
very
reasonable
(though
adding
a
booking
fee
to
the
price
making
it
more
expensive
to
book
in
advance
seems
counter-intuitive
to
encourage
bookings)
but
concession
stand
prices
are
as
with
most
cinemas,
a
tad
excessive.
£5
for
a
drink
and
£5
for
stale,
tasteless
popcorn.
The
Harribo
and
bagged
chocolates
prices
were
extortionate.
I'm
guessing
the
popcorn
was
so
poor
as
it's
not
selling
as
quick
given
that
there
is
nobody
there
to
buy
it.
Only
went
to
this
particular
cinema
as
it
was
the
only
one
showing
the
film
at
the
time
we
were
available.
Won't
be
in
any
rush
to
return,
if
it
manages
to
remain
open
that
is.
