This hospital is absolutely shambolic and unprofessional. I had a consultation with a neurologist. A head scan was arranged for the following week. I then arranged with the receptionist for a follow-up appointment (2 weeks later, even though the neurologist wanted it to be the week after the scan). On the evening of my telephone follow-up consultation, I received a call 5 mins before informing me that the receptionist had booked me on the list with the wrong neurologist. Therefore, I have to wait a further 8 days for results; this is not my fault. I have Asperger's and extreme anxiety, and this is the straw that broke the camels back and sent me into an anxiety attack. When I asked to make a formal complaint I was given some contact details. When I rang - no answer. I was then informed she will be back tomorrow (today). Rang up this morning and surprise surprise, she is not in today, ring back tomorrow. This is beyond ridiculous, and is not fit to be a hospital, yet alone a private one. Please avoid this embarrassment of a hospital and find a more professional and better managed alternative.

A big thank you to Mr Will Holmes plastic consultant. Your care & compassion and also professionalism is second to none. Your aftercare too and any questions are answered with the provided email. Your work is to a very high standard and found your advise to be very helpful . I also liked the method you used regarding my surgery it's the new way forward and modern and latest ways. Again thank you I felt in safe hands throughout all the care provided. I wouldn't hesitate if anyone is needing a good plastic surgeon Will Holmes will provide a excellent and 1st class service. Also Mr Holmes please thank your anesthetist again for her outstanding care provided. Also I would like to mention the ward staff who gave me fantastic care throughout my over night stay. Nothing was too much for you all. You made me so welcome and also had time to explain everything I needed to know regarding my operation. Sister Sarah Sister Clare Lisa Davies Yvonne night nurse. Frasier who made we so comfortable upon taking me to theatre. Leanne the theatre nurse so lovely and made me so relaxed. Ingrid Normington

I have given this a 2 for now on the basis that I live in hope at some point this hospital gets back to me with an answer. I thought I would look up reviews, and was a little concerned about what I was reading. I opted for "benefit of doubt". Got my initial appointment although there was a bit of confusion about my medical records so I thought right ignore it lets just crack on. Met the consultant very nice chap advised my GP and/or NHS Hospital would be contacted to get my records and scans (first time ever I opted to go private, in my naivety I thought it would be a whole different experience to what I am used to). I was advised I would be sent a quote for the surgery, that was Mid November. I have lost count the amount of times I have called this place, getting through to someone to actually pick up the phone is shockingly bad. There are 2 receptionists so why are they not answering the phones? 2.5 days to get through to someone, based only deciding to just hit the admissions selection did I get through. Finally through to Customer services to be advised that all notes had not been recorded on the database so they could not help me until the lady responsible for me was in. What if that lady was off for a week or was off sick? What is the point of a database? I could have lost my temper but I did not, as I could not be bothered to be honest. It is only because my NHS appointment has been put back am i persevering with this. What does stick in my throat is that I am paying for this surgery out of my own pocket! Tempted to cancel it to be fair.

Would recommend this hospital to everyone, lovely staff, good facilities and most importantly the nursing care is wonderful ๐Ÿ˜ŠTheatre Staff brilliant. Also, the Consultant, Mr Corns ( neurosurgery), approachable, affable and Iโ€™m feeling confident for a good recovery and outcome. Hopefully wonโ€™t need any treatment in future but wouldnโ€™t hesitate to come here again! Thank you to all x

The hospital is ok once you get in (nothing special though). Unfortunately it's the getting in that's the problem. The car park is a joke. I've failed to park for a physio appointment and just turned around and left in disgust. I'll be using Roundhay hospital for any future procedures. On a side note I've had a few operations here over the years but seems to have gone downhill since my last op. Maybe just a management thing. Just checked in for a follow up with consultant and there are that many people waiting around that they've run out of waiting room space. I'm now up a corridor awaiting my name calling. Not just the car park with no room it's now the actual hospital!

I visited Methley Park roughly 10 years ago and had breast enlargement, recently i have found out from an ultrasound that one has ruptured, I contacted methley park as I thought i had a life time guarantee on them rupturing, i have spoken to 3 different people there and no one can tell me anything about them they keep saying they cannot find my details even though i have given them everything, also one lady was going to get back to me with more information and never called me back, Please make sure when having surgery here you ask about rupture and the policy they provide

Would highly recommend Spire Methley Park. Firstly the surgeon Mr Holmes was excellent throughout the process from the initial consultation to post surgery. I felt very looked after, particularly how very approachable he is to the ease of making contact throughout the experience. My room was a great size and very clean, with my own private bathroom and large TV. The bed was super comfy and I was always nice and warm. One of the things that stood out for me was how friendly the nurses, doctors and ward staff were. Nothing was too much trouble during my 2 nights stay. They were always making offerings to help me, make me more comfortable, feed me, medicate and even clean me. Even just grabbing me a peppermint tea during the night to ease my stomach. It was just amazing service. In addition, they were always available for a chat. I was pretty immobile during my stay and using the bathroom facilities was made easy and not uncomfortable for me at all. Being discharged went very smooth. There was no rush to kick me out, and I was even reassured that I could stay another night if I wasnโ€™t ready to go home and be around a full household. I almost took them up on that offer!!

I'm glad to have chosen Methley Park Hospital for my recent operation, which is the first time I've opted to have private surgery. From initiation through to my operation, the quality of care and service has been outstanding. A huge thank you to all the staff who contributed to an excellent experience. They've all been wonderful. In particular my surgeon, Mr Shiwani, nurse Katy and student nurse Lydia, who are incredibly caring, patient and made me feel comfortable pre and post operation.

If in any way possible don't use spire methley park. The service is utterly shambolic, appointments not made, constantly having to chase for results. Spire made a stressful time so much more stressful than it needed to be. Awaiting a response to my complaints. Totally unacceptable lack of communication. Spire, as an organisation dealing with people sometimes at their most fragile times you should be considering some major changes.

I recently had a complete hip replacement and cannot praise the staff at Methley enough. From the minute I went for my first appointment to my discharge they were absolutely wonderful. The operation was a complete success and my time there was a wonderful experience. (The food was amazing as well). Thank you Methley for my new hip.

This is my second stay at Methley Park Hospital. Superb facility with incredibly attentive staff at every level. You are treated as a person and your issues and how they affect your life are fully taken into account to determine the best way forward. I have had minimal wait times for both consultations and surgery. I wouldnโ€™t hesitate to recommend Methley Park.

Honestly struggling to comprehend what has just happened. I hobbled into Spire 7 minutes late for a foot appointment, to be told the specialist has gone, maybe the specialist has never tried to get parked up at Methley park. There are so many other routes that this appointment could have taken, a phone call at the least would have surely been the best option! Will not be returning to this option for myself or my family.

We have used Methley Park hospital quite a number of times over the last 8 years, Mrs Clarke, Miss Ward (ENT) and Mr Southern (hand surgery), and found their services excellent. We have required consultations, diagnostic imaging and surgery and have been very happy with the level of care we have received. The facilities appear to be well maintained and efficiently run with helpful staff. We have also found them willing to be holistic in their approach to patient care. In particular I would commend Mr Southern for his diagnostic and surgical skills, his professionalism and approachability. I am forever grateful for the support and help he has given my family in diagnosing and reducing their pain. I would recommend this hospital to my friends and family.

Can't say I'm particularly impressed. I had an appointment booked and had made arrangements with work etc. This was then cancelled by the hospital and rebooked with around 24hrs notice. This did ot leave me any time to rearrange my work commitments so I had to cancel it. Now I am still trying to book it, but unable to do so and need to wait for another letter. It might not sound like a massive issue to most, but I have been trying to get an issue sorted for a long time and not getting any closer to a resolution.

What a great experience from start to finish. Greeted upon arrival and shown to my room. The procedure was done in no time at all. Was prepared for several hours stay but I was on my way home within two hours. Lovely staff, didn't feel like I was in hospital. Thanks to all concerned. ๐Ÿ™

I couldn't speak highly enough of this hospital. The imaging diagnostics department is full of lovely people that are kind and understanding. I have gone trough a very confusing situation and Dr. Pankaj is a great professional and was kind enough to go through the results with me more than once. Also, the ladies that I spoke over the phone with, such as Jean were very companionate and helpful. I really felt I wasn't just a number.

Not a great experience I'm afraid! Had an operation and was given a red band for allergy to surgical glue and plasters. The allergy was completely ignored and was administered them anyway. Had to change myself as I had a bad reaction, and then caught Cellulitis. The nurses were great, but the surgical side was not so great.

Booked in for a operation, 4.30 at 5 the doctor came & said he would get me some pain relief for my stomach . At 19.05 No one came back to my room so I went to nurse station to ask , the way the nurse questioned me & spoke to me was so rude & unprofessional. I started walking to my room & I could hear them talking about me , so I walked bk to listen . Then one of the nurses seen me then she came after me lying when I was stood listening for no less then 2 mins ( so patronising . Then she comes bk again to ask me same questions the nurse asked me hours before , I told her Iโ€™ve already been asked this questions & she carryโ€™s on I ask her to leave the room as I was getting upset & she put her food in between the door so I could not close it ( thatโ€™s bullying ) , Some people are just calculated & patronising, Who even treats people like that , I have left The hospital, too upset to wait for my operation , I waited 8 months for this procedure, I would rather suffer with pain than come back here โ€ฆโ€ฆ.

Had an operation here last year. For the most part people working there were lovely. I don't know if they are just over stretched but I was left for over 6 hours after my operation with no water. Despite asking and being told they'd bring me some. I ended up having to drink some from the bathroom tap. It was very difficult for me to even get up. My heart rate was through the roof and I was throwing up a lot. I was told I'd get an anti sickness injection at around 5 ish and I didn't get one until 11.30pm at night. I was still throwing up but got sent home anyway in the middle of the night. I think this was actually for the best though as I was able to get better care at home to recover. I can only presume they were just way over run with people when I was in. I wouldn't go back I'm afraid.

I was a bit worried because I hadn't heard anything about my up coming operation. The receptionist, Jackie was very helpful and I received a call back a few days later with a date for my operation.

Absolutely amazing care with amazing staff and professional team throughout my spinal decompression. However same cannot be said for the young man who works in appointment bookings. Very rude, unprofessional with a poor attitude. He would benefit from customer services training.
