    Do not allow bookable appointments online. You have to ring everyday to get a nurse telephone appointment. This is unsustainable for those that work and do not have the luxury of being able to sit on the phone each day in the hope of even getting a phone appointment. However, I'm not sure how a nurse is able to remove and refit an implant down a phoneline. Access to contraception shouldn't be this difficult. No wonder there are unwanted pregnancies

    Mixed experience. I wanted to get my implant taken out and saw on the website that there was a walk in clinic on a Tues afternoon so I booked a day of annual leave in order to come. I called on the Monday just to double check the walk in clinic was definitely running and was told the website was outdated and the implant removal clinic was now on a Thursday morning. I did some frantic reshuffling of my week to come on a Thurs morning and then called on the Wed again to confirm it was on that week and was told the clinic was on a Tuesday afternoon! I was told that I couldn't come on a Thurs as that was only for people who wanted to have their implants replaced with a new one (a procedure that presumably involves taking the old one out so why they couldn't take an implant out in that clinic I don't know!) Very frustrating as by that point I'd rearranged work twice in order to come. I eventually rearranged things for a third time and came on a Tues afternoon. Once I was there the nurse was excellent and everything went smoothly but the whole experience caused a lot of stress and frustration. Please make sure your reception staff are giving out the correct information!

    I felt like I had to review because the service I received was second to none. Whilst I had to wait a while on the phone to book (a simple number queuing system would improve customer experience) when I got through I was greeted with a friendly member of staff with no judgement. I also contacted the team over Instagram to ask a question about my appointment and they were super quick to respond and very helpful. The appointment itself was an overall very positive experience. I had an IUD (coil) fitted and my implant removed, and I was quite anxious going into it however all the staff from the receptionists to the nurse/doctor were lovely, reassuring and respectful. Everything was explained to me and I felt informed at every stage. I felt slightly nauseous after the IUD was inserted, but I felt like I was in safe hands at all times. I was so glad I chose to come here over my local GP and would recommend the service to anyone. Thanks for making me feel at ease and welcomed.

    The worst customer service possible, staff are rude, arrogant and very untrustworthy, shame its pretty much the only place to go in Bradford absolute let down and shambles of a business

    I booked an appointment for a copper IUD and attended the appointment this week at Howard house. The building was very secure, requiring confirmation of your appointment to get access so it felt like a safe environment. When I got in, I waited 2 minutes before my appointment started, the rooms had a calming feel and the whole premises was regularly cleaned. All of the staff I greeted were friendly and made me feel comfortable. In terms of the IUD appointment itself, the whole clothes removal process was very private and I was able to cover myself during the insertion process. The doctor showed me the IUD and explained the process of insertion beforehand. She also explained what she was doing before she did it and frequently asked me if I was feeling ok. The appointment was extremely quick and for me was only mildly painful- like a period cramp despite not giving birth and being a teen. I imagine this is down to the experienced doctor. Once it was over the staff continued to care for me before letting me leave once I'd passed their health checks. I would recommend Locala Howard house to anyone seeking sexual health treatment or advice.

    Constantly given misleading and incorrect information, staff just seem to make it up as they go along, different answers each time to the same questions I ask.

    I never write Google reviews but felt like I should after my experience with Locala Bradford and seeing some other reviews which weren’t good. I got help from Locala to get on PrEP, and my experience was overall very good. First of all the actual building inside was pretty nice, with a big waiting room. The receptionists are nice and friendly. The doctors who talked me through the tests and medication were thorough, friendly and knew what they were talking about. They seemed to care that I knew a lot of the information they were giving me. My tests were all fine and I was handed 3 months supply of PrEP and thought to myself how good of a process it had all been, and I was grateful for all the help I received. Thanks.

    I've seen Kim and liz here and they were both great. Non judgemental, up to date with information and very trauma informed. The lady on reception is nice and the rooms are clean and the environment is non stigmatising. Both times I was seen promptly and given helpful advice and information which was very up to date and encompassed all options. I cannot fault Locala and the wonderful staff there.

    Not knocking the staff as they were lovely but the whole que and wait system clinic for contraception is ridiculous. I first attended 4 weeks ago for coil replacement, was told previously if I wanted to be seen had to get there within plenty of time as the que gets long so got there at 12.15. There was about 4 people in front of me and we got told we couldnt wait on the corridor and had to go back down stairs to wait until 12.50 then could start queing to go in. Knowing what it was like last time I today got there at 12.05 at around same time as another lady, was nobody upstairs when we checked I explained to her we got sent down last time until nearer 1pm so we thought best go wait in the foyer, a few other ladies came in and asked if that was the que so was about 8 of us just waiting there from well before 12.30. Quite a few others came in just walking past us and getting in the lift, didnt think anything of it. We all went up to que around 12.45 when we noticed the amount of people just walking past. Got upstairs to find the waiting room full of people, the guy speaking to us just said "didnt any of you think of walking in". Which is a bit of a contradiction to last time. I took the last coil fitting spot so the ladies then blamed me for saying I said we had to stay downstairs..Nearly 3 hours and sorted for me at last hopefully dont have to go back for a while. Why were the other ladies just walking past an obvious que allowed to walk into the clinic and get a place on this occasion but not 4 weeks ago? Deffinately needs an over haul

    I took my daughter today to getvthe implant the doctor was discussing told my daughter she was overwight shes just had a baby 4 weeks ago she got my daughter so confused se end up getting implant she ended up with bloody pill joke rally not happy xx

    On my arrival for IUS to be fitted staff was very welcoming was taken into treatment room where Doctor M. Crow explained me everything clearly and reassured me that is going to be quick process. I felt relaxed 😌 and I am so grateful that I had the best care given.

    Wouldn't know as I've been entirely unable to get an appointment at weirdly enough as a mum, 8am is a pretty busy time for me and they just don't let you book in advance. I cant sit on the phone constantly pressing redial . Waste of time. Have given up just like many others.

    The booking of an appointment process was difficult but was finally seen. The clinic is very clean, spacious & modern. Shout out to Abi she was such a great nurse who listened & made me feel at ease answering many questions. I was nervous but Abi's service helped me more than you know. Thank you :)

    I visited this clinic last week and had an appointment with James, a fantastic doctor! I needed my implant removing and wanted another putting in. Unfortunately my implant was very difficult to get out! James tried his absolute best to get it out, even getting a colleague of his to come give a second opinion, and she thought best to refer. Despite this advice James tried again and finally after around an hour we managed to get it out! I really didn’t want referring to the deep implant clinic & to be waiting months for it sorting. I am so grateful to James for getting my implant out & I hope to see him at the next visit! Highly recommended!!!

    patronising reception and senior staff on the phone unprofessional talked down on me and tried to discredit me actual medical people who fitted my coil were lovely shame the corporate staff are unprofessional and lack decorum

    The care offered to me was very excellent. I got a same day appointment and the staff were lovely, looked after me and I had everything checked that I needed. I couldn’t have had a better experience.

    Having received a positive result from an SH24 test I needed an appointment to get treatment. The booking process wasn't easy as my work schedule is hectic at the moment & I couldn't make it for a Monday to Friday appointment. I needed a Saturday morning appointment. I persisted & saw a fantastic nurse called Sally who gave me the treatment I needed. I just wish the booking process was easier as I was the only patient there. I do understand the Saturday service is for emergencies so i'm very grateful I got seen & sorted out.

    Last time I came here two years ago I had a good experience. Was a walk in clinic, staff was lovely and it was all quick and easy. Today I waited 50 minutes on hold just to get hung up on from the other side. I just urgently needs my implant out and the website gives no help on whether to call or walk in or try book online. Useless and quite angry I wasted so much time

    Been trying to book an appointment. I tried to pre book it for the next day they said I can’t I need to call on the day, called on the I’ve been on the line for more than 30mins and this keeps happening every time I call it’s been 2 weeks now n it’s upsetting because I’m way overdue my appointment.

    I work all week and these do not have the option to book an appointment. I waited one week only to be told I have to call back after 2 weeks. I just need a quick test at an appointment that is certified.so I can go on my way. Why can't you book an appointment in advanced? Some people are employed and do not sit at home all day waiting for a call back

    Had my first appointment last Tuesday. Nearly bleed to death when the nurse took blood samples! It left a big bruise on one arm and minor on the other. Please re-train them on how to extract blood. I felt nervous and anxious throughout the examination, as well.
