    I have now had two family members complain to me about the absolutely abysmal treatment they have received from Lisa and co on reception at this surgery - the feedback is that the doctors are great but the reception staff are absolutely vile - will be starting a formal complaint - if you're not cut out for customer facing roles, find a new job, people coming in deserve to receive a high level of care and empathy, not rudeness and extra stress - this is the second incident I've heard of and I will be speaking to the local community about any additional incidents, what a shocking level of care to provide when the community deserves empathy, kindness and respect in a medical setting. Train your staff better, they're letting you down.

    Absolutely appalling service from the reception staff who lack basic manners namely Lisa Canning and Emmerson Walgrove. Lisa in particular who is very aggressive, rude and patronising. I have had many encounters with her whereby she has been incredibly rude and condescending. She doesn't like to help people and will talk over you. Dont even bother trying to make an appointment here, if you are lucky to get through to them at 8am you are told they only take 'emergency appointments', isn't that what A&E is for? Where do I go for my non emergency appointments? It is ridiculous. The GPs here are nice enough if you can ever manage to see them. I have always liked Dr Akhtar, very friendly and respectful. Not all the reception staff are bad here, Fakra is very friendly, Lisa and Emmerson would benefit from being mentored by her to improve their customer service skills. Unfortunately because of the rude reception staff I have now left this practice, I wish I had done this sooner. The reception staff at my new surgery are wonderful, so polite and friendly and always ready to help.

    Absoloute rudeness from reception. Spoke to them politely and kindly after being refferred from NHS 111 and the woman on the phone was so abrupt and didnt even let me finish my sentence before saying very curdly 'Right, NHS do this alot and I've said theres NO APPOINTMENTS, okay?'. I think especially in a time where kindness and grace is something to think about whilst we all struggle, to be spoken to like this by someone at the forefront of the health service is a very upsetting thing. I was already anxious about my knee injury and to be boderline shouted at like a child is not the type of experience you'd expect from a doctors surgery receptionist. Wish I got the name of said receptionist but sounded like an older woman with a strong yorkshire accent. Changing my GP surgery today, absoloutely no manners and hope this woman gets treated the same when she one day has to call in with an injury. Please train your staff to have basic decorum and manners when speaking with members of the public, it makes a world of difference to someone who may already be struggling.

    It's not a medical centre, it's a joke centre. Suffering from throat problems for the last 2 years, severely for the last 10 months now. I've had 5 appointments at the surgery regarding this problem and 2 x went to hospital.7 x seeing or talking to the doctor since February, and only 2 x blood tests were done for this particular problem, just getting worse in general and still don't know what is it. Plus they don't listen to what you say, records are made inaccurate bordering with lies, and they can't process more than one symptom at a time.BRI is another Medical disaster. I will certainly report this so-called Medical practice and BRI. I'm fed up to another level.No one should be paid that well for not just doing their job, but risking people's lives.

    Would give 0 stars but there's no option for that. Lady at the reception was very rude she didn't let me speak. She has no patience at all. She has no respect for the patients at the medical centre. Would not recommend this practice to anybody. They do not pick the phone up and when they do they say there's no appointments.

    Took time off work for a medical. Was seen 30 minutes late so was told to rebook a follow-up appointment. Reception staff and the nurse not working as a team as both confused about procedures. Poor customer service.

    I wouldn't even give the 1 star! Have been ringing the surgery for over a week and have had NO ANSWER! My mother has run out of medication that was recently changed. The surgery have failed to communicate this to the pharmacy who will not give her more medication until it has been confirmed!!

    Doctors are excellent where as the receptionist is disgusting her manner and the way she comes across on the phone is not acceptable at all, my patner was spoken down to and in a condescending tone. Should not be hiring people like this as receptionists I asked for her name on the call she refused to give it. I’m glad this isn’t my doctors and will be getting him to move. Clearly by the other reviews this is a regular thing

    the ladies at the reception are very irresponsible and unpolite. when you want to make an appointment, you are forced to wait on the phone where they don't answer for an hour and then tell you to call another day at 8 ... so it takes days.. weeks even months ...sad and very ugly...all the patients call in need and problems and the reception is bored and arrogant!

    Terrible staff very rude Got the label for urine sample bottle mixed up with another patient and didn't even attach any label on the next sample for my husband. We are still here because of the nice doctors!

    Dr Akhtar is great, listens well to your concerns and provides good advice. Handles children very well and listens to your concerns with compassion and kindness. Was previously at Westcliffe/ Shipley who were unable to provide the same level of service as Dr Akhtar.
