I have become quite despondent with Haige Hall since they have Merged with Shipley & Westcliffe Surgeries. It can now take up to two hours to get through on the phone as they are either engaged, or the call is ignored although there are at least 3 admin staff on site. They no longer have a Nurse practitioner on site therefore you have to make an 8 mile round trip to one of the Shipley Surgeries. When asked how was I supposed to get there I was told to get a taxi.!! As a life long patient of Haige Hall I have never had any complaints 're staff or GPS in till now although I am very aware of the effects Covid has had on how services are now run there is no excuse what so ever to expect patients to trail so far. My concern is for the elderly who will give up trying to get through to the surgery, or are not able to travel so far to see a nurse. Covid appears to have become a good excuse which is not acceptable.

Absolute joke. In the years I've been with this surgery, I've not had a good experience. Today was just the icing on the cake for me. Took my full lunch hour for a 10 minute appointment due to the wait when it was dead... The Doctor I spoke on the phone was lovely, the doctor I saw was rude and dismissive. How some people are allowed to work front line is laughable. High Hall needs to buck their ideas up before they loose all their patients. Also, their wheelchair access is a joke. Don't even bother trying to navigate it, go somewhere else.

This surgery has gone down hill faster than Eddie the eagle, you can never get to see a actual doctor they allow un-trained and unqualified staff to change medication. On one occasion my partner was told that a doctor would ring in a weeks time on a given date she waited for the call which happened she then explained to the doctor on the phone her problems only to learn that the doctor had allowed the pharmacist to ring her instead so she had explained her problems to a person who she thought was a qualified doctor. WE HAVE NOW LEFT THIS PRACTICE.

I’m disappointed in this surgery since it’s been taken over by Affinity Care. It’s virtually impossible to get through, you spend 15/20 minutes just trying to get through to the reception team and when you do manage to get through all appointments have gone. They tell you to call first thing at 8am but for us working people we can’t always get to the phones at 8am. Ring even a minute past 8am and you’re so far down the line in the queue that when you do get through there are no appointments left. They have drastically changed since covid and not for the better. They no longer do face to face appointments, it’s all done over the phone. Prior to covid they used to offer a walk in surgery in the morning where you could see a GP/nurse practitioner, it no longer exists. When you do eventually manage to get a face to face appointment you’re sent to a different surgery in Shipley. If I wanted to be a patient of a Shipley practice I would have registered myself there but I didn’t as I don’t live in Shipley. I understand GPs are busy but this one is just ridiculous. I’m contemplating changing practice as I shouldn’t have to be on hold for 15/20 minutes just to speak to a receptionist about a query.

A shockingly bad practice! Mainly due to a peculiar rude member of the reception team. Impossible to get any real support for my ongoing long term health conditions from an actual GP. A very disappointing and broken service all round. Looking to transfer elsewhere asap. A receptionist is the closest thing you will get to talking to any real heath care professional these days. Not good enough! 😔

Just phoned to try and book an advance appointment for a review on my medication which I haven't had for the past three years cos of covid, an excuse for everything. The receptionist finally booked me in with the asthma nurse in Shipley face to face rather than the telephone appointment she wanted to book at first after I told her it was stupid you couldn't book in advance when it says the month on every prescription you get. Since covid the practice has gone downhill

Terrible, they doubled my husbands strengh in his blood pressure medication , he was so poorly , when he informed GP , they said it was not the medication , we left and went to new GP , and they put him on the normal strengh he used to have and said the double strengh was making him ill , should never have been on medication so strong , Haighhall do not care about patients at all , they treat you as if you are nobody important

fairly new to the practice and never had a problem with getting an appointment, getting a prescription or getting a timely response to an e-mail. Seems to me to be a great team who communicate via phone or text message well with their patients and have still provided a great service in testing times. I think they are doing a great job and am very happy I switched from a practice in Rawdon.

If you are a 'patient' at Haigh Hall, ( it's Haigh Hall NOT Affinity), do not be ill. This is not part of the National Health Service, it is only the National Covid Service. There are 5.9 million people waiting for general treatment, nowhere near as many with covid. This medical centre should be ashamed of itself, but of course won't be. People won't forget, but who at Haigh Hall will ever be bothered. Dreadful!

I find this practice has totally dropped with regards to being helpful and I very disappointed with this centre. I can’t even get information on how to make a complaint!

Been part of this surgery for just under 10 years. The doctors, nurses, HCAs and admin staff I cannot fault. People need to understand the pressures of primary care and how things have changed. When needed I’ve always managed to get to see/talk to a doctor - all of which have been amazing. Yes waiting for 30mins on the phone isn’t great but some surgeries in Bradford you can be 100 times trying. Keep going everyone - well done! Only thing to suggest is turning online booking back on when you can. I think it would help if you have the capacity.

Don't understand all the negative reviews on here - myself and my family are ever so pleased with the practice. It has the feel of our childhood doctors' practices! The staff on the front desk are efficient but I wouldn't call them rude, in fact they've always been thoroughly polite and helpful towards me and my husband. The GPs are kind and caring (I've seen 4 since joining the practice and they've all been excellent). The waiting room is nice and quiet, another positive of a smaller practice. The GPs always make me feel welcome and never make me feel silly for coming in - so reassuring for an anxious, first time mum! In contrast to other practices myself and my husband have accessed, we find it relatively easy to get through on the telephone and arrange appointments. I particularly like the call back service in the morning and the option to message about less urgent issues. I would recommend the practice to anyone, really don't understand the negative reviews. Think staff are doing a sterling job at a particuarly challenging time for health care professionals! Thanks for all you do for me and my family.

Just moved to the area and I am so impressed with this surgery. I have spoken to a Dr who has been wonderful, ringing me back to check in and going the extra mile to support me at an anxious time. Thank you x

Avoid registering at this surgery. The surgery will interfere with medication and put you at risk as a result of poor management and a badly trained team. Appointments with an actual qualified GP are like gold dust most of the time you'll just be stuck seeing a nurse. If they can't fob you off on to a nurse you'll be sent to their Shipley site where if you do get an appointment they'll unregister you from Haigh Hall and then register you as a patient at Shipley Medical Practice without your consent.

Sadly, I have to concur with the view that this practice’s standards have gone rapidly downhill since Covid and the lockdown. It is almost impossible to get through by telephone. They don’t seem to be interested in housebound patients like myself. They have actually lost my prescription for a surgical stocking. I have heard nothing about the joint booster/flu jab. Appalling service!!!

I have been a patient at Haigh Hall since birth, 34 years. Whilst understandably GPs are suffering with high volumes at the moment, Haigh Hall has gone from a perfectly good, friendly and approachable practice, to one that might as well not exist. As far as I understand this has only started once they merged with Affinity care. Don't bother calling, you won't get through. Waited 3 weeks for a phone appointment for an asthma review (3 weeks, to renew a repeat prescription that I have had since birth) only for the company in charge of the call (perhaps not Haigh Hall) to call early resulting in me missing the call completely due to work commitments. I have managed to get through the robotic reminders on the phone that, sometimes as fast as 10 minutes, only for the phone to ring, and ring, and ring, and ring, and ring.. etc. Honestly, at this point I am not even sure the GP practice exists. You can't go in person, you can't get through on the phone, emails are left unanswered. The only saving grace is that I see the doctors knocking around the local area but don't think asking for an asthma review in the veg isle at morrisons is at all appropriate. I'll be switching GP's, I would recommend any existing patient to do the same and anyone thinking of registering at the practice to not bother. Hell, call me an register with me, I'll be as much use as they are - at least I will answer my phone.

Suffering from a really bad skin condition that needs medical attention. Had I not have responsibilities at home I would have gone to a&e to be seen by now... Unless you ring at 8am and get in the initial que there's absolutely no point. You cannot get an appointment. Such a shame. This has been my Drs since forever and its drastically gone downhill..

Absolutely shocking doctors surgery since covid, they don’t seem bothered about helping anyone anymore and you can never get a face to face appointment. Call backs take ages too.

Friendly, helpful and try to get you seen or called when possible. Calls take ages to be answered but same everywhere. X

I've sat at that surgery with my poorly daughter for over an hour!!!! .... Admittedly I just kind of turned up!!!! . I came home from work and my daughter said mum I feel soo poorly....my throat feels like its closing up.....she suffers terribly with anxiety soo is often overboard but I checked her throat it was red raw swollen.... When I phoned the surgery they said I will speak to the doctor and ring you back...... DOCTORS ADVICE.....go to a&e!!!!!! Are you joking for 5 mins to look at a young person with sever anxiety that would have a melt down thinking it was something more serious!!!! Honestly we were sat there and DOCTOR KADIR OR WHAT EVER HIS NAME IS, HAD ONE PERSON THROUGH HIS DOOR IN ALL THIS TIME!!!! 5 FRIKIN MINUTES IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN HIM!!! My daughter eventually had another meltdown and Wanted to leave!!!!! IM NOW HAVING TO CALM HER DOWN WITH PHONE CALLS TO SERVICES THAT DO NOT NEED TO BE USED!!! 5 MINS OF SOMEONES TIME COULD HAVE STOPPED ALL THIS.......ITS DISCUSTING. A SURGERY THAT CARED IS NOW A BUSSINESS!!!!! I came from Leeds when I joined this surgery....was highly sort after....not no more !!!

😠 I ordered three day 2 tests to be done on return from an Amber country. However, the result only arrived on Sunday (day 6), so basically useless. One...
