We went yesterday & had a wonderful day out. The weather was superb, location was stunning and I feel blessed that we live in beautiful Yorkshire ! The children loved petting the animals and also enjoying all the various things to do. It was clean and there are good facilities. The children learnt a lot about different farm animals. Unfortunately we missed the tractor ride but hopefully next time. We stopped for some yummy ice cream on the way back which was a treat ! All in all a fab day out and very reasonably priced.

Excellent experience despite the weather! So many activities through the day and plenty of animals to see and interact with. Feeding the calves, collecting eggs and many more. The highlight for us today... Witnessing the birth of two lambs. Plenty of playing areas for the children also. Shame the heavy rain cut play time short. Certainly one for the visit again list!

Had a really good day at Hesketh farm on bank Holiday weekend, the weather was good, which made for a better experience. Got to spend some time going round seeing the animals, and there is plenty to see and hold! You can have a guinea pig sat on your lap or hold a baby chick! My favourite animal was the calves. Kids had a great time playing in all the different play areas, and we all had a go on the go karts! We also paid the ยฃ1.50 per person to go on the tractor ride which I would recommend! We had a farmer called Chris drive the tractor, and he stopped out in the field to explain a bit about the animals they have and some of the land, which was really good! Really good day out would recommend to anyone we will be returning again!!

Excellent day out. The animal seem happy, the staff were friendly, and the signage was very informative. Lots to see and do and the bell to inform you the next event was occurring was very useful. The cafe had sausage rolls.

We had such a great day out. Our 16 month old daughter had a blast. There are lots of opportunities to be interactive with the animals and there are enough activities to keep you occupied for the day. The farm does a great job of educating its visitors and the animals look happy. They are used to interacting with the visitors and seemed content with the attention they were getting. I would highly recommend visiting this place.

We visited today and had the most amazing day! The animals all looked very clean and well looked after. (It was nice to learn that some of them were rescues too!). The huge tortoises were munching on big fresh lettuces. It is so interactive with goat & pony feeding, handling Guinea pigs & chicks, feeding calves, eggs collecting etc, itโ€™s so lovely to be able to get involved and get to touch & feed the animals & no overcrowding either. The play areas are excellent, itโ€™s free parking & very reasonable entry fee. Thank you for a great experience, we canโ€™t wait to visit again!

I do think the 1 pound charge for babies is unnecessary, we spent ยฃ29 to get in ยฃ4.50 on tractor ride, ยฃ20 on taking a picnic plus we also spent ยฃ15 on coffees and ice creams. So not a cheap day out but it was enjoyable

Fantastic farm. Perfect for children 2-8/9. All the animal enclosures were really clean and the window seemed well cared for. There are wonderful animal experiences, like feeding calves or lambs and handling guinea pigs and the staff were really good in explaining what to do and ensuring everyone could have a go. There are lots of things for children to play with - ride on tractors, carts, climbing frames and massive sand pits - all is in good condition and well maintained. The cafe has a small menu of sandwiches for lunch, but very reasonable prices for food and drinks. To top it off, the farm has stunning views to enjoy too.

We've visited Hesketh Farm near Bolton Abbey several times over the years. It is a brilliant location for your young children. On site parking is free, there's plenty of spaces and it's buggy and wheel chair friendly. Entry charge. June 2023 I was charged ยฃ15.00 for 1 Adult and one over 5 year old. There's plenty to do for the kids to be entertained and lots of seating inside and out for the grown ups to sit at while the kids play. Some activities are just to name a few: See the animals Pet/feed the ginea pigs from your lap Feed the calves milk Pedal go carts Baby tractors Climb the huge tractos Climbing frames Swings Sand pit And a must do is the tractor ride. Take a picnic or order from the cafe inside. Enjoy the weather and views while they play. A perfect place to take the kids

Took my 4 grandchildren aged between 4 and 10. They all had a fantastic day. Something for everyone. Lots of animals to look at, and loads of other things to do as well. All my gang lived the go karts. Nearly had to drag them off!. Would definitely recommend a family visit here. The cafe was well run and served delicious food. Hope to return soon. Thank you for a lovely day

Enjoyed it. Loads to do for the kids, we stayed for 3 hours and honestly they would have been happier staying longer. Weekend in September, wasn't busy at all. Took a 6 year old and a 10 year , boy and a girl and both enjoyed it.

This farm is absolutely amazing!!! I visited the farm today with both of my young toddlers and I was absolutely delighted. The staff are super friendly & always engaged with the children. My son loved feeding the animals and there was so much to do. The set up of the whole farm is brilliant it is such a safe space and very clean. The owners were there today and sorry I didnโ€™t catch the names but the lady is so warm and welcoming and farmer was such a nice man it felt like a very welcoming. I think itโ€™s cheap to say ยฃ7 entry when other regular activities cost more for less time. It was ยฃ1.50 for the tractor ride which I did not mind paying at all. Before people complain about paying ยฃ1 for a baby you should be more considerate that these people also need to earn a living and you get way more than you pay for!!! I will definitely be a regular visitor. Thank you!!!

What a fantastic little farm to visit. Perfect place for the children to run around and play on the outdoor park. There is also an indoor play area if the weather takes a turn. There is food available inside too. The animals are the real feature here though. You can cuddle and brush the guinea pigs, you can brush the pigs and pet the other animals. It was cute being able to handle the chicks but I feel there should be a rule that only adults can hold or at least be incredibly involved if little children are attempting to handle. Some children were a little rough and those chicks were very young. Over all it was a wonderful and reasonably priced day out and would go again. Just be careful where you park if there has been heavy rainfall.

Lovely farm to take the kids to. Guinea pigs, sheep, cows, pigs, horse, and chickens to pet and feed, plus a decent sized play area with plenty for them to do. Picnic area and reasonably priced food and drink too.

Great little farm for the kids, i like how you could interact with animals and get to be so close. Nice friendly staff around the place especially at the cafe. Will definitely be visiting again as we missed the tractor ride.

We took our 13mth old daughter for her first ever farm trip and so glad we brought her to Hesketh Farm, so interactive for her and so much to see and do. It was Halloween when we went and they had pumpkin carving too which she enjoyed helping with. Staff were lovely and letting people know when things were about to take place such as feeding the animals etc rather than having to keep an eye on the time for things! Amazing afternoon, made some fantastic memories thank you โ˜บ๏ธ xx

The best farm weโ€™ve ever been to HANDS DOWN. Lots of animals, all looking happy and well cared for. Plenty of things to keep the kids entertained, my kids especially enjoyed bottle feeding the calves, and feeding the guinea pigs. Big outdoor play space with a sand pit, playground, ride on tractors and go carts. Real tractors that the kids can climb in. Absolutely spotlessly clean considering itโ€™s a farm! Extremely reasonably priced too. We can easily spend a full day here, could not recommend it enough!

Love it here. Bring the children regularly. Good value and fun with the animals as well as outside on the cars, playground or picnicking. 2023 update. This place gives from strength to strength. The animals are wonderful to interact with. And the play area has grown to give the children so much choice to play and burn some energy. Todays favourites were the goats and guinea pigs.

Beautiful Scenic farm next to Bolton Abbey, where you can feed the animals. Kids really enjoyed it and my Highlight was the tractor ride through the amazingly scenic fields, up close with the sheep and cows.

Hesketh is a brilliant farm. There are lots of animals to see and the outdoor play area is brilliant - so many things for kids to do. We paid a little extra for the tractor ride which was fun and informative. It's really reasonably priced considering the amount of stuff there is to do. We had a really great day.

This is highly recommended when the weather is nice. At the tip of the Yorkshire dales and not far from Bolton Abbey, this farm is ideal for children upto ages of 10/11. You get the chance to see Guinea pigs, sheep, goats, cows and other animals. Outside there is a great play area including a sand pit and go karts and you can spend a couple of hours outside alone. Also good for picnic outside with plenty of benches and very nice grass (no weeds!).

Absolutely AMAZING place, really good for all the family. Feeding and animal petting, and lots of outdoor space with many different activities. The staff are lovely! So clam and friendly, really good with children and getting them involved with the animals. Pricing is also cheap for what is available at the farm. Lovely place will be going back soon!!

We visited Hesketh Farm Park today with our 5 and 3 year old Grandsons. They and we had so much fun. The variety of activities on offer was very imoressive. All equipment and displays were in excellent condition and wete very interactive. The outdoor areas were a great hit. The children loved the maze and of course the park and tractors. Indoor areas are large and beautifully spaced out. The staff were very knowledgeable and the children were all given equal opportunity to join the planned petting and feeding times for the animals. The cafe is great. Affordable prices and lunch bags for the children are a great idea.Public areas are well maintained and we would just like to say thank you to everyone for making today such an enjoyable experience.

Our granddaughter loves animals and she really enjoyed the day we spent there. Her favourite animals were the guinea pigs which she spent a long time brushing. She enjoyed the playground and go carts too. I would have given the park 5 stars but the food was quite expensive for what it was.
