I recently bought a great selection of strong and healthy pond plants at a reasonable price. The picture included is me disinfecting them with PP before I put them in my Koi pond. But it's there to show you how many colourful options they had available. Their knowledgeable staff will also give you recommendations and advice.

Visit here often as I have 3 tropical fish tanks. Staff are great, shop is always clean and presentable. Would like to see more variation of stock but I can imagine they are selling what sells well for them so no judgement. Great place.

Always great in here. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff who don't simply try to sell you something but take the time to explain why you need something or, why you don't, which is good for an amateur pondy like me. Good amount of stock at good prices and willing to order in if anything isn't on the shelves

Extremely helpful with advice and ongoing support when you are new to fish care. Even took the time to explain to kids how fish digestive system works and how to feed them. Also provide free tank water testing. Would highly recommend!!

As a potential first-time pet and fish owner, I was reassured by the fact that all the people I spoke with about getting a fish told me to come to Harrogate Aquatics. I'm so glad I listened. The staff here are incredibly professional, well-informed, and care about the fish and their potential customers. Without knowing whether I was going to buy from them or not, they have taken me through the whole process of buying the tank and getting the fish. Luke, Matt, and Ally answered all my questions (and there were many) with detail and the patience of saints. My daughter and I (we know that that's really just me) are now the proud owners of a beautiful fish tank and flame tetras that are alive and well (let's not talk about the fish that died on my first run 😳 while I hide my head in shame)

Luke, Alison and Matt are a great team, providing expert advice with friendly and efficient service. I've just returned to fishkeeping, after a decade off. They quickly brought me back up to speed on the most recent trends and equipment. Alison helped me choose the right freshwater system (an Oase Highline 200). I've never used CO2 injection, Matt and Ali were a goldmine of technical and practical advice - thank you. Once I'd chosen my plants Ali made sure they were right for me, and even prepared and 'mollycoddled' them for my delivery. Luke delivered my tank and cabinet, helping me in with it and making sure all as well, he even made another trip, to drop-of a supplementary pump I needed. Little details seem as important to these guys as the big stuff like sales and orders - a good sign of a professional and ethical business. I've just spent an hour relaxing as my Amano shrimps demolish the initial algae growth on my moss and hardscape - bliss! Five stars - highly recommend Harrogate Aquatics.

Great aquatic shop, we bought an aeration system for our pond 6 months ago it has been brilliant and silent running unlike our old one, lots of choice of fish and plants, and friendly staff. Would highly recommend

Alison’s speedy action in helping us save our fish was amazing! Application of correct product to the pond and advise on action to take quickly restored the equilibrium to our pond!

Love this shop. They take really good care of the fish and are very attentive with clientele.

I was left waiting I store go half an hour after I had decided what I wanted. People with ponds get priority it appears. All the 20 fish I bought died within 3 months bar 2.yet the fish from other sources are fine same species, same tank same food. Thoroughly disappointed.

I am currently in the process of setting up a new aquarium, which Luke has kindly sourced for me. I am looking to stock New world cichlids and have some challenging requests but Luke and Alison have helped guided me along the way and I have to say they have gone above and beyond the level of service that they needed to or i have found in an number of other stores. I would whole heartedly recommend them and Harrogate aquatics to anyone. If they don't have it they will do their utmost to get it for you and at a fair price. Thank you Luke and Alison.

I’ve had plenty of fish, plants and both aquatic products from here for my pond and both cold water and tropical tanks. Almost all purchases of aquarium plants results in a snail infestation once added to my tank but regular management can get that back under control, just something to be aware of. Fish are usually nice and healthy and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

Not a huge selection but still perfectly good for most fish hobbyists, more importantly, staff are helpful and knowledgeable and the fish are not expensive at all. Only went in on my way home from work, so didn't stay long, but first impressions were good. They get live food delivered on Friday's so that's a bonus and they have some novel aquarium stock such as frogs and shrimp... What more could you want?

A great place! Lots of different fish, including a wide range of guppies and tetras. Lots of different items for pond fish, as well as tropical and cold water fish. The staff are very friendly and welcomed any questions, but would also leave us to browse. Also it has great prices which i haven't found anywhere else! I will definitely be visiting again!
