I've been fishing at Raygill for many years, not as often as I would have liked over the past couple of years due to family ties but there is always a good atmosphere and a friendly welcome. The lakes are in a lovely setting and are well stocked with top quality fish .... and boy do some of those trout fight! There is a small cafe and bar ..... what more could you ask for!?

Brilliant fly fishery with chances of getting a rainbow 10lb+ any time you go. Had this beautiful 11lb out the same day as I had a 8lb and a 9.5lb out

Come back to fishing after 55 years and this is the ideal place to do it. I've just fished the large lake, lots of swims to choose from. Don't need expensive equipment. I use a 60 year old spinning rod. Never failed to catch. Largest haul over 40 fish in 6 hours

Very nice place to fish it could do with a little tidying up and the pegs sorting out its well overgrown the fish are great fighters a 3lb fish feels like a 5-6lb when you catch one and there's plenty of fish there

Good days fishing. Zillions of ducks on the main lake - amusing creatures. My husband caught some great and feisty carp. Ablutions were basic but clean. The very kind owner brought out some painkillers for me after seeing me hobble along (stepped wrong at home and put my back out). Good atmosphere and we enjoyed our day out.

Pretty good, plenty fish in the lakes, beautiful surroundings. The pegs could do with a good deal of maintenance, though. Several are unfishable, and some you risk losing gear in trees (evidence in trees confirms this)

Wanted to pay over the phone before I set off but couldn't get through but paid into the box when I got there.I had the quarry lake to myself .I think it was about 5 fish in an evening session which is quite good for me.

Caught 2 large carp in 4 hours in very cold (7 degrees in Sept) windy and rainy conditions. 4lb mirror then 10lb common. Nice guy who owns it too, gave good advice. I'll be back.

Being members of a walking 4 health group in Crosshills arrangements had been organised for us to walk around the Raygill estate and the nearby local countryside, culminating at the Raygill fisheries cafe. The reception given to us all was very friendly and we were made most welcome by the lady who made us coffee and teas. I'm very pleased to endorse this cafe and the friendliness of all concerned in its running. Thank you very much.
