This is absolutely one of my favourite places to go reconnect with nature when visiting family back home. There is limited parking over a few levels with a small fee of £1. The scenery is spectacular and although its a very busy and popular place for dog walkers and joggers if u take some of the more undiscovered tracks that the true locals really know u can spend ur time there without hardly bumping into anyone. The scenery is stunning and the woods are great to explore and again you can come across some hidden gems and dens that people have made. If u took a picnic and plenty of water you could spend the whole day there with the kids, climbing trees playing in the steams. On site as there is a small cafe and info centre and towards the end of the walk don't forget to stop off and feed the ducks.

Beautiful especially in the snow. Was lucky to get there between storm Eunice and Franklin just as the clouds and must lifted enough for a safe flight

Beautiful Reservoir! Just over a mile to walk around if you stick to the inner path. Lots of other routes to stray on to if you veer off into the wooded areas or you can follow the stream up to Emily Stone and the wind farm, with a short walk over the Moor and drop back down to Ogden. I mainly visit for dog walks and running and always enjoy it. It is well looked after but sometimes can get very busy, which is why I would recommend avoiding it on bank Holidays and weekends if possible. Great location for a walk or run!

Visited this outstanding beauty spot. The only problem I have is some irresponsible dog owners who don't have their dogs on a leash and don't pick up dog litter. They're a disgrace.

Nice to return to a clean and tidy reservoir. I feel nothing has changed, not even repairs to the old stone work. Over the years, I've visited the reservoir dozens of times, so I feel something should be done to strengthen the old ruins, etc. And maybe stop dumping your old Christmas trees along the edges of the path. I personally feel they do not look aesthetically pleasing.

Lovely walk round the lake. There's a good path suitable for wheelchairs etc and a parallel path in the woods. Good Birdlife. About a mile from start to finish. Toilets at the info centre.

If you are a good in identifying birds and insects you can spot many. The view from the hill at the time of sunset was good.

Who doesn't love a nice long walk around this place? It's so peaceful. I love taking photos of the place, mainly because they turn out rather beautiful. That's just saying how good it actually is. I wouldn't go there at night, only because it seems a bit dangerous with all of the trees and no one around, but I love it. Plenty of ways to get into the park. Some dangerous. Some simple. (DofE usually take the dangerous and some normal routes.) But I really think it's worth going for a walk there. it really is worth the effort.

Nice stead stroll around the reservoir, Paths around the water are well maintained and suitable for prams, bikes and wheel chair uses.. I went up into 2 of the woods to get some betters views, then out onto the heathland, which overlooks the whole area from the edge of a golf course. squirrels and birds are plenty, even a heron flew over.. Parking is free and easy with 4 car parks, bottom one had a ice cream van... Great for walking the dogs, you can use the quieter woods to let them off and really stretch there legs.. I will be back..

One of the best reservoirs I have walked around... Very short unless you do the extra bits but no reason not to do multiple laps 😁 lovely woodland walks and wildlife...

Ogden water is a place of great natural beauty. Good parking with a selection of walks from the challenging to the sedate. There is always wildlife to see as you walk around the reservoir and there is a cafe tucked away in the woods for post walk refreshments. A nice day out for the family.
