This is a beautiful open space to visit and walk around or sit and enjoy the water features and flowers. An onsite cafe is a nice addition as well as an Aviary. One of the main attractions is the museum. Parking on site is limited but it is possible to park on the adjacent road. A hidden gem that is worth a visit

A great place to spend a couple of hours whatever the weather. The museum is rather like the TARDIS, bigger than expected once inside. Plenty to see and read in a traditional style museum, with plenty of exhibits reflecting the local heritage. The conservatory style cafe is lovely too. Not surprisingly well frequented. Good food and a bonus... raspberry jam provided, once asked for, in place of the ubiquitous strawberry jam!

Cliffe Castle is the best park for a dog walker in Keighley. You have formal gardens at the top, near the cafe and glasshouse bit. There's a museum and even a little zoo/aviary. Picnic benches overlook a green just above a kids playground. Then there's lots of dog friendly areas for walking lower down, some wooded bits and big expanses of grass. The cafe is dog friendly and has indoor and outdoor seating.

Beautiful place to visit! Very accessible, lovely food & drinks from the cafe, clean park to walk round. The museum is brill & very diverse! Stained glass windows, minerals, taxidermy etc! Popped in for a wander and a coffee at 10 & I’m just leaving at 12.30 having had a perfect morning with my little boy. Thanks!

Fantastic free museum with especially wonderful natural history exhibitions. Enough to keep you occupied for hours, plus a good cafe and nice big enclosures for small mammals and birds who looked well cared for.

Really interesting place and well worth a visit. The exhibits were interesting for the most part, the collection of minerals and crystals, was a surprise and quite spectacular. The gardens are well kept with some beautiful trees and shrubs. We all loved the pond and fountain. There is a nice cafe with some really nice cakes and ice cream. As I said earlier it's well worth a visit.

Really nice place to visit in Keighley. Grand house, and. Lovely tea rooms. Gardens and fountains. It's also a museum and free. On a beautiful sunny day it must seem like an oasis in Keighley!

Set in beautiful parkland and well maintained gardens the house does not appear all that impressive but when you enter, Oh wow! the interior room settings are spectacularly stunning, the historic exhibitions are very well presented and give a fascinating insight of the social, economic, industrial and geological history of the area. All the staff were polite and helpful with information. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and recommend a trip to Cliffe castle.

Little hidden treasure! Spotted this place on the map and what a lovely bonus it was! Really eclectic collection but the period decor is stunning and I think there's something for everyone here. Shame they don't have a café but well worth a little trip, and I'm sure the grounds are lovely in the spring.

What a lovely hidden gem to find! There was so much to see! We only managed the Pavilion, aviary, some of the park and the ground floor, but we'll be back to see the rest. I can't believe I hadn't heard of this place before?

Very lucky to have free days out like this on the doorstep. Spent a good few hours in the museum and gardens. My son enjoyed the play park, aviary and small animals section. The cafe is nice we brought a picnic and just bought our drinks :) Lovely views. Randomly, Devonshire park is situated across the road so we went in there for more of a walk / play and after both we were tired out ready for home!

An amazing little museum full of local treasures, we had a great time. The park around it is also stunning and has a great kids play park. The cafe at the top was lovely too, would definitely recommend for a day out.

Beautiful peaceful gardens, aviaries, rabbits and guinea pigs outside. Glass house with plants and a lovely museum. Best of all is that it is completely free. The cafe is also excellent.

The museum is very interesting. It has many artifacts including mummies, fossils and rocks. You can also see taxidermied animals like owls, rats and birds. Theres more then the nature however, you can find old bowls and dollhouses. There is also a little area near the enterance where you can find a victorian room. In the museum, when I went, there was a musical going on in the theater they have. You can go above the theater and walk around it on a little balcony with art on the walls. Overall this is an amazing museum for all ages!

Expansive collection of antiques, local heritage, historical, and natural artefacts. The grounds are lovely for a walk in the nice weather, and the architecture is suitably impressive. Personal favourite area was the hall with all the old industrial history and tools in, very interesting. Parking is a bit of a nightmare, but plenty of side streets to park in if car park is full. Parking is free, entry is free, and photography is allowed. Definitely support this amazing public space!

What an unexpected lovely place. I was walking past (free road parking) and saw the sign so thought I'd wander. Lovely building, grounds, conservatory, cafe, play area and cycle route... All free, donations welcome as it'll cost a bit to look after. So much to see, detailed rooms, balcony, staff to answer questions. Sadly I didn't have time to see the minerals section but was amazed at the variety of taxidermy. All set out as in their habitat.... Some of which may be the only way to see them as humans take over. Fetch a picnic, some cash and have a wander it's great!!

What a fantastic place to visit! A great little museum which is like a rabbit warren, it just goes on forever! Really interesting displays and lots to look at. The grounds are beautiful to look around and the cafe was lovely. All of the staff we encountered across the whole site were friendly and helpful, a great way to spend a few hours on a sunny autumn afternoon.

A lovely museum, lots to see and read. A wonderful taxidermy collection and a very large mineral and rock collection, alongside the history of the area and the house itself. There's also a small exhibition on ancient Egypt and some wonderful photography. Well worth the visit and a small gift shop with trinkets for a fraction of the cost of big museums

It's free to enter the museum. A rather strange collection of random items. Big Park and reasonable tea rooms.

Been here a few times over the years as it's free. Also come for parkrun sometimes on a Saturday morning at 9. Today, I brought my two nieces (3 + 5) for a visit. We first of all explored the grounds, saw the fountains and the animals which they enjoyed. They then spent a massive chunk of time in the playground. The kids playground it great, plenty of equipment for different ages and lots of space. It was never too busy either, though that could be because of the weather! Finally we went around the museum. They liked the bees and soon found the Queen Bee. They also liked seeing the bones of the animals. Great place for a visit. We spent the whole morning here. We took some snacks for midmorning. There is a cafe here but we didn't use it. There's decent toilets and also a small shop here. Finally, try the musical stones as they're ace!

Always a great family visit. If you've not been before I would highly recommend you go & it's all for free. One of the best public parks in the north of England, the museum in the house rivals any of the London museums for variety & all under one roof. If your lucky you'll catch one of the indoor concerts. Good to see a great example of public investment not being wasted. The landscape restoration work is coming along well, just got to make sure it's all sustainable...no weedy borders etc. Not the biggest of car parks but there's plenty of on-street parking on the main road into the centre of Keighley.

A lovely historical house to visit in the middle of the park. Very deceiving from the outside you think there's not much to it. But once you enter..it takes you back to the 1800s..such detail and magnificence to the preserved rooms..it really does deserve so much more. Definitely a must see for those who love a little local history.
