So pleased I visited and saw some of Eileen Agar's work. The gallery itself is truly beautiful, from the tiled cafe to all the stained glass in other areas. Make sure you visit if you're in Leeds!

The gallery wasn't as large as I expected; mostly due to alot of the sections being closed off. The gallery was crowded and there was alot of young people rather than old. There were some interesting pieces and there was art styles that varied over a few centuries: mostly around 17th century to modern day art included. It didn't take long to view everything - pretty much finished the entire gallery in about 30-40 minutes.

Really nice museum with a beautiful tiled hall cafe on the first floor. Saw some breathtaking pieces and the current Britain from the Air photography exhibition out in the front is so good.

Art gallery, not so big but full of interesting works, always free. Ancient and modern art, it's difficult to get bored, The library is free, some activities for children, the museum's café is beautiful.

AMAZING museum with all kinds of amenities like a washroom, locker room for 1 pound, and a nice canteen. The staff is really nice and very helpful. They answer all queries in detail. Actually, staff is the reason why this place is so popular.

The cafe is in an amazing space, beautifully tiled. The Holman Hunt painting is a favourite, so expressive and filled with meaning.

I liked the museum! Especially the pictures that you can see in it. The museum itself is not very big, but that doesn't stop you from seeing a variety of fashion/culture.

Lovely old building housing a fairly small, but very high quality, collection of art. I loved the display of poetry from Iris Barry and the incredible paintings of Wyndham Lewis. A great way to spend an hour or two and feed your soul. And it's free!

First visit in a long time. There is a good mix of styles and periods of art, which is refreshing as it provides something for most if not all tastes. There was a big display of children's art in the entrance hall, which seems a good way to get kids interested in art.

Great Art Gallery well worth a visit . On arriving I must admit I wasn't aware of Eileen Agar and at first wasn't to sure but after I while warmed to her and left a complete convert . My favourites were the paintings of the Ploumanach Stones they were quite mesmerising and beautiful . The photos she painted them from were in the Gallery too . This was closely followed by her Cleopatra painting which I found kind of mesmerising too . And thirdly her self portrait . The Veiled Venus Sculpture by Kuhne Beveridge and Ella Von Wrede was cool and enchanting . Praxiteles by Percy Wyndham Lewis I loved also . The guides were very nice and welcoming . Worth a visit you may become a Eileen Agar fan too .

Great place to visit and free entry! They had two very unique exhibitions while I was there, as well as traditional pieces. There's a nice Grimshaw collection held here 👍🏻👍🏻

A fantastic place to visit when in Leeds. Every room is another chance to feel inspired and think differently. And even the installation of a new show is an artwork in itself! And it costs nothing to experience something so special too.

I found this art gallery really interesting, showcasing different types of art and even creative pieces done by visitors! A special exhibit was up for the autumn that was amazing, the staff were friendly and toilets had cleanliness maintained.

Really interesting gallery. Well worth a visit. Upstairs galleries closed when we there because of rail strike, but some great Victorian paintings. Visit the library next door to see a fabulous series of embroideries. Excellent craft works for sale in shop below the cafe.

Went with my best friend, had lots of laughs. Nice atmosphere for a Sunday. Didn’t have the brain space to focus on contemporary displays but did love the old stuff.

There were some interesting, and unique pieces in the gallery, however a lot of spaces seemed to be unused when I visited on 13/06/23. It was manageable to walk around, their gift shop had a nice range of products, and the accessibility for lifts, and stairs were easy to find.

I didn't have time to see the whole gallery. Decorated in a Moorish style. There is also a great cafe there.

From someone who visited here monthly for 10 years or so, it's not really changed or improved much at all. A lack of events is uninspiring, especially considering the efforts other museums and galleries go to. The children's space is good, the art rooms are spacious and the opportunity to learn about the art is great, however the atmosphere & staff are generally quite miserable. Come to think of it's they seem actively grumpy. Cafe is priced high, although it's setting and decor is wonderful. No parking, it's in the centre of the city. Great for visitors, but not much change or sign of any events that keeps locals engaged.

I loved the gallery. It has multiple stories and enough to explore for hours.

Indulgent classical café, reminiscent of a Vienna coffee house. Some decent exhibits. Quite busy due to the wind and rain outside. Worth a visit if you're in the city on a Sunday.
