A fabulous new bar with friendly atmosphere and welcome to all. Child friendly and dog friendly. Great craft beers and handpulls, with gluten free options that taste great! The team have done a great job with creating this bar, they should be proud with what they've achieved!

Great new addition to the Shipley area! Really friendly little bar with an amazing selection of craft ales (and spirits). The chocolate and raspberry stout was a great tip from the friendly bar-staff for me - proper lush it was! Quiet for a Friday night (though it had been slinging it down with rain when we went) so get in there folks and enjoy yasens!

Lovely neighbourhood bar with a fantastic range of craft beers. As the driver I was pleased with the non alcoholic range too, hard recommend.

Good choice of beer but for me I didn't like the place. I can't put my finger on why not. Just seemed to lack any atmosphere

The Crafty Kernel in Shipley is a nice little surprise. In a place where a number of the pubs appear to have a somewhat unwelcoming atmosphere to those not of a certain type, the CK is the absolute opposite. The owner and staff are extremely friendly to new faces, or at least in my experience, and the regulars too do not seem to be judgemental of newcomers. The building itself is nicely decorated with lighter pastel colours on the walls that help bounce around the little natural light that enters through the front windowed entrance. The bar area contrasts this with a darker style and displays a number of bottles and a large central mirror. The interior lighting is fairly dim, adding to the somewhat confusing mix of open and airy and small and cosy feeling this contrast of styles gives. It's comfortable and the furniture adds to this, being the now relatively standard heavy wood and metal mix seen in craft bars. The beer selection is fantastic. The first time I visited I couldn't decide what I wanted and was offered a slider with three thirds of different beers. I took this offer and enjoyed all three. Since then I've tried a few new arrivals but mostly stick to PardΓ‘l for a tasty, easy drink and the loyalty card. You'll never be short of choice as the different styles and strengths are all well represented. The prices too are fair, not the cheapest nor most expensive in the area they hit a decent mark that is worth it in the end. As always my only complaint is the "dog friendly" trend that all pubs and bars are following. This is obviously my own preference but I feel I have to mention it as some will be looking for a place with those accommodations, and others hoping to avoid such. To conclude then I would highly recommend anyone visiting the area to pop in for a friendly drink and those who live in the area to call in for a good choice of beers and bar snacks.

So dog friendly, and just super friendly in general. Possibly the friendliest, most open/non-judgemental pub/bar I have ever been to. Come as you are, have a pint and chat and the staff will treat you (and your dog) as old friends!

I visited this bar on a Sunday afternoon, a live band were just setting up. I had a pint of Ilkley - solid gold, which was bang on form!! The food looked amazing, although I didn't eat myself. Easy access as it's in Shipley town centre with plenty of parking nearby. I will visit again and Highley recommend!

Good choice off beers, but don't go on a Saturday evening if you value your hearing. Nine people in the bar but the music was louder than a Leeds night club.

Must be one of the best places in Bradford for Real Ale. A brilliant first year, always a great welcome from staff. More important, cracking cask beers guaranteed.

A lovely atmosphere, great live music every Sunday and quiz night every Thursday and jazz vinyl sessions on a Wednesday! Perfectly hand picked craft beer and ale. Award winning bar not to be missed!

What a breath of fresh air. Hugely knowledgeable and personable team who were very happy to talk me through non alcoholic options, making me feel very well looked after rather than an after thought. Would highly recommend. Oh, and they had an awesome jazz band!

Friendly micro with a great choice of local cask and craft ales. Music down low, with friendly conversation up high. All that a pub should be!

Great selection of keg beers and hand pulled ales in a modern and cozy bar. The staff make you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. Events are held regularly, such as Thursday Quiz nights. Highly recommended!

Great new micro-pub. Good quiz night on Thursday's which now includes Card Bingo, Bits and Pieces and Play Your Cards Right ! Superb beers as well. Now CAMRA award-winning. Great atmosphere too. New menu on the way and art exhibitions too. Along with live music and Wax Wednesday for vinyl lovers.
