We had a 21st birthday party. Room was lovey with its own outdoor area, food was absolutely delicious the staff are very friendly with excellent customer service. What a fantastic night we won’t forget it and will definitely be returning to the pub it’s self for dinner. Thank you to everyone once again for a evening we will always remember.

We haven't been for some time owing to Covid restrictions etc but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. There were 6 of us out tonight, three generations of our family, and we all had something different. Very attentive service, delicious food beautifully cooked and a good atmosphere. Excellent value for money.

Went last night for a meal. The staff were very kind and helpful however we weren't overkeen on the menu, especially the kids menu. Adult portions were great although a little overdone on my fish but everyone else enjoyed there's. Childs portion was smaller than I thought for £5 but on the whole it wasn't too bad.

Went here for a drink with the work crew after finishing for Christmas. Only pub in the area these days. Nice to find a pool table and a decent pint of shandy. We,l be back next Christmas!

This is 2nd time our family have been here now and really enjoyed it. I've been here some yrs ago and found it disappointing,But since these guys have taken over and built it back up we will be visiting more often. Food is to die for, tastey and completely different to most restaurants.and the customer service and table service is outstanding. Well done guys keep it up 😉

This was my local pub. Spent time here with my family as a young man from discussing my university choices with my mother to catching up with my grandmother. Wrote parts of my thesis here. The food was affordable but good, the atmosphere relaxed. This was a sit down and eat pub where you could linger after your meal or come in late with a laptop to work over drinks. Quiet cosy and friendly. It was also filed with books and photographs steeped in local history. But after the pandemic the owners sacked the chef and sold the kitchen and fewer and fewer people came. It wasn't financially viable as a wet pub in an area where many came to eat and quite a few are tea total. Only time will tell what happens next but the owners have shown no sign of reopening.

First visit. Excellent food. I had 16oz steak, cooked to perfection. Also had 4 different cask ales to choose from and excellent clean facilities. And great value for money. Along with very friendly staff this made for a perfect lunchtime visit. Thanks to all staff, looking forward to visiting again soon

Used to really love this place and visit on a weekly basis. The atmosphere is cold and not very good for a family lunch with young children. More just the place you pop for a quick pint. We was sat near the toilets and it's all we could smell from our seats. Seems such a shame. Only one girl working behind the bar and the chef. Definatly gone down hill!
