At first it may look like a random garden with a monument in the middle but if you read a little beforehand and know where are you going to , that makes a big difference. A tomb of a world traveler and poet and philosopher and suffi master that his quotes and thoughts are still being used and actually one of the main resources of Farsi literature in term of proverbs or metaphors etc . If you like to have a good view you can hike from the hill nearby or grab some ice cream and carrot juice from the shops in front as they're famous for that .

Brilliant experience to see the tomb of the great humanist writer and poet. The location is very special, there are beautiful gardens surrounding the pavilion, and it's a wonderful place to be at the end of the day as the sunlight wanes and the birds return to the trees, telling each other about their days. Very memorable experience.

This place is at the end of Bostan street. Saadi is one of the great Persian poet and literature. One amazing thing about the building of the tomb is architecture. It ihas a cubic shape from outside but from the inside, it is in the form of an octangle with walls of marble. You can see his poet on the wall. This tomb is in the middle of a beautiful garden, you can walk and enjoy the music which plays there.

The Tomb of Saadi, commonly known as Saadieh (Persian: سعدیه‎), is a tomb and mausoleum dedicated to the Persian poet Saadi in the Iranian city of Shiraz. Saadi was buried at the end of his life at a Khanqah at the current location. In the 13th century a tomb built for Saadi by Shams al-Din Juvayni, the vizir of Abaqa Khan. In the 17th century, this tomb was destroyed. During the reign of Karim Khan[1] was built a mausoleum of two floors of brick and plaster, flanked by two rooms. The current building was built between 1950 and 1952[2] to a design by the architect Mohsen Foroughi and is inspired by the Chehel Sotoun with a fusion of old and new architectural elements. Around the tomb on the walls are seven verses of Saadi’s poems. (Saadi,Wiki)

The tomb of the poet Saadi A famous Persian poet, Saadi, is buried here. Plenty of Iranians come to pay their respects to a beloved poet and there are verses of his work inscribed on his tomb. Without knowing the poet, tourists may get less out of this than others, but it is still wonderful to see how much the Iranians treasure their spectacular literary heritage.

The tomb -with a great respect for Sa'di- is in a huge garden where you can chill out. Nothing more. I don't know why I gave that money there. If the only intention is to pray to the tomb, then it doesn't necessarily require buying a ticket and entering, it's possible doing it outside for free. Plus, there's only a Persian explanation about the tomb, no English. Poor service for tourists.

The rich depth of his poets with moral and social values has been touching many hearts all aroind the world and undoubtedly, he is one of the masters of Persian literature. Human beings are members of a whole in creation of one essence and soul. If one member is afflicted with pain, other members uneasy will remain. If you have no sympathy for human pain the name of human you cannot retain.

Such a soothing place away from the rush and crowd of the city, may not be of interest for those who are looking for monuments to take photos. I like to relax here, sit a few minutes and reflect on my life😊
