Friendly staff, big dinner portions, quick drinks service. No complaints here and the local cat Sphinx is a treat if she comes over for a pet. Went here for 2 midweek nights during late winter. They had the fire on and there was a lovely atmosphere inside.

Not really worth one star but will give it for the guy singing outside. Visited today loved this place. Ordered 2 coffees and two cakes $38 I ordered the red velvet cake could not understand why they had heated it up in microwave until I started eating it, it was stale and rock hard on the top, my coffee was only just warm so didn't drink that the other coffee was only just warm too really really disappointed definitely won't be visiting again.

Stayed one night in spa suite first room door wouldn’t open took some time and for staff to check and realised we were right it wasn’t just a sticky door stated they had no other spa suites available however managed to find us one ,room was ok very hard mattress and air conditioner not working the greatest (it was a hot day ) not much shower pressure either but was hot water Stair railing very loose a safety concern and needs urgent attention Rest of stay ok and glad they got us a room after first dilemma however should have been much quicker then it was

I'm here for work and expected to be somewhat homesick but walking into such a sweet, clean and beautifully simply decorated room felt wholesome. The space was like a hug. We ate dinner with you too and I recommend the popcorn cauliflower for anyone vego. Thank you Jen, Callum, Leah and all supporting staff at Settlers. See you again on Thursday 🫶🏾

Group of us came to York for the day to visit friend. After a bad experience at another location in York, friend suggested here and it didn't disappoint. All our meals were lovely and big servings. The steak sandwich was amazing. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely came back next time.

Great value for money, fabulous location in the centre of town. Rooms are cheap and clean. Service was under pressure due to shortages but running as fast as possible. Pub food and a pub band aimed at the oldies. Highlight? the outdoor firepit on a cold night. Recommended

The best value for money I've had for a meal in years. Big serve, fresh and priced exceptional well. There were 6 of us and all agreed. I ordered the parmi and sea which was great. Well done to the crew.

Stayed next door at the Settlers Hotel, but had dinner here. Service very friendly and efficient. Food was great.

Lovely service. We went on a busy weekend and didn't time our lunch well and had to leave. They ran around to get our food cooked in time and changed to take away. The food was great.

Been to Settlers for the fourth time now as I believe in giving any place a few go's before making a decision. But I have to say the food served up in this place is very average each time I've been I ordered something different but each time it was very disappointing, and it was cold when served. Sometimes an establishment can make up for its flaws with its customer service but again each time I've been here the staff have been unfriendly and unwelcoming in fact one evening I was there I would go as far to say there are rude with little to no customer focus. I think the proprietor of Settlers needs to have a long hard look at how Settlers is managed. I would not recommend to anyone to visit here, and I certainly will not be back disappointed to many times

Staff are really friendly service and food great, roast lamb with veggies was just what my husband wanted and no problem with having the prawn entree as a main with chips. Dog friendly and very yummy will come again
