Simple bunch staples made well. Chips were a bit salty but flavours of everything else was quite balanced. Make sure you book a seat and get a good spot in the courtyard behind. Our table was too low and we had to hunch down to take every bite 😔 Overall nice vibes on a sunny weekend. 🌞

The first thing to do at Mercetta is decide where to sit, particularly when invited to ‘sit where you like’. There’s quite a choice… Then there’s the decision about what to order. I was curious about the hot chocolate, so was glad someone else picked that and now there are selfies around somewhere… Lactose-free cappuccino was more my style, however and I followed that with fruit toast and Chai Spice Apple Porridge. This was only my second visit, so I still have some exploring to do…

Stopped here on the way to the hot springs and enjoyed a nice lunch. It was very busy on Saturday but found a seat at the communal table inside. The service was very friendly and quick and all the food arrived hot and fresh.

We attended this place at the tail end of lunch service, so we had to rush our selection. The place was approximately 30% filled, and our order for standard soft drinks and beer took a lot longer than expected. I ordered the grain or green salad, which I typically select when in a cafe, to avoid having fast food. I didn't like the salad as the combination of ingredients did not suit my liking. The veggies were and overpowering and too raw. The balance of flavours inclusive of the mint did not work. I tried to eat it because I was hungry and was paying more than $20 for it, but unfortunately, I couldn't finish it. My friend had the burger and enjoyed their meal. The setup was interesting, with many adjoining outside eating areas behind, yet the areas were closed. Sorry for the harsh review. The staff were very nice.

With a large amount of restaurants, cafes and pubs to choose from, this place stood out amongst the many. Seating indoors, outdoors on the street or at the rear. Perfect for families as there is plenty of room to move around. My partner had the eggs benedict and it looked tasty with a generous portion size. Plenty of cakes to choose from. Takeaway is popular too. Toilets on site although not necessarily wheelchair accessible. Parking out the front can be challenging but there is plenty around. Staff were excellent and service was fast. Dietaries catered for.

Banana protein shake was very good. The breakfast burger was alright. Pretty pricey.

However, as a vegetarian, I did notice that the menu had limited options. While the grain salad and fritters were tasty, I would appreciate seeing more variety in vegetarian dishes. Expanding the vegetarian menu to include a wider range of options, such as different types of plant-based proteins, creative vegetable dishes, or even vegan alternatives, would make the dining experience even more enjoyable for vegetarian customers like myself. This would also align with the growing demand for diverse and appealing vegetarian choices in restaurants.

Awesome little cafe in Main St. Staff are very attentive and we were seated quite promptly on a busy day! The venue has multiple seating options both indoor and outdoor (covered). Food arrived promptly and the drinks were lovely as was the food. Not heaps of options for vegans/vegetarians but there are some nice choices nonetheless. I visit this place all the time and will continue to do so!

We had mother’s day brunch at this amazing place, loved everything about it. Food was great with excellent customer service, though it was busy. Struggled to get parking at front but had lot of parking spot at back side of the restaurant. Worth a visit to enjoy, brekky, brunch and lunch.

The food is amazing.. but the hot signature hot chocolate? Mind blowing. And only $8!! My husband and I came the day after our wedding. Loved it so much, we brought my mom back the next day so she could try it before she leaves. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We visited for brunch on a Monday, and as it wasn't full we were able to be seated straight away. The staff were friendly, however there were 3 of us seated on a small table probably better suited for 2, or for those just having coffee, as it was a bit tight when the food came. Considering it wasn't full or busy being brunch, we were surprised that our food took over 40 mins to arrive, so ended up waiting quite a while. Whilst the food was nice, we felt that we could get better value for the amount of food and the price point of each of the dishes. The place has a nice atmosphere, and friendly staff.

Love coming here when I’m in Mornington. They are always consistent with their food and coffee. They have a nice courtyard out the back which is very nice to sit out in summer. Winter not so much even though they do have heaters. Mercetta is always busy on weekends so make sure to book, though you can walk in just might be a wait.

This cool brunch spot surprised us with how big the venue is! Plenty of nice seating in their outdoor area with plenty of cover and shade. We had the ham hock and Atlantic Benedict which was nice but would've like the poached eggs to be a little runnier. Staff were all really friendly and service was quick despite how busy it is! Will be back to try other items on the menu and looks like it would be a great spot for a bigger group as well.

I've dined with Mercetta a couple of times prior to this visit and always found the service and food quality consistent and delicious. On this occasion it was for an early father's day to beat the mad rush. Please make sure to wait outside to be seated, I missed the sign and crowded their cashier area, oops 😅 The host found my booking quickly and seated us without fuss. The menu is expansive with plenty of variety and my oat latte was smooth on the palate. We didn't need to wait too long for service and meals came out in a timely manner, overall a positive experience.

Clearly, one of the best cafes in Main St Mornington. Lovely interior, great coffee, good breakfast and friendly service. We visited Mercetta on Monday and the cafe is pretty busy. That speaks volume. The waiting staffs deserve compliments , those ladies are really caring and prompt ( we all love great service right). All in al, great experience and will return in the future for sure. Highly recommended 👍

Scrambled eggs on toast, a long black and a New York cheesecake served with a smile and a touch of Melbourne’s finest spring sunshine. An unbeatable combination.

Sat with our puppy in the lovely warm back area which was appreciated on a chilly morning. It’s a really nice atmosphere loved the seating with the cushions and blankets. Really enjoyed our breakfast. The coffee was fabulous too. The service was quick and friendly and we didn’t feel rushed to leave at all.

Great relaxed place. Pooch friendly out back & Yumm food. Did book long table but they gave it away in error which was a bummer. Did apologise though. Decent serves & really good espresso martini. We go here often. Dog bowls around so your pouch can get a drink too.

a lovely cafe experience at mercetta! love that they serve an all day breakfast but also lunch-style meals. a little of everything and something for everyone thats for sure! a range of drinks, sweet and savoury meals and snacks for any time of the day. we all enjoyed our food and the service was prompt and friendly, seating us under a warm spot under the heater without a booking! i did find some of the food on the oiler side, however i am sure this could be requested for less oil as the kitchen were extremely accomodating! they kindly hard boiled our eggs, served crispy bacon and toast on the side when asked. thanks mercetta, we loved it!

This is my favourite cafe. Get service and great food, however my favourite breakfast meal the "maple butter pancakes" have now gone. I'm absolutely devastated. They were amazing. I had the new pancakes which just don't match up against the old ones. I really hope they bring back the maple butter pancakes .....

We had a function here today and the service and food was second to none! The staff were so accommodating to all our guests and went above and beyond to keep everyone happy. They were even playing along with the kids. All our guests complimented the delicious food and drinks and said the function space was absolutely perfect even in this miserable weather. It really couldn’t have gone any better and I’m so grateful that Mercetta made our event so memorable. If you want a fuss free and beautiful event for your next occasion - look no further! We had a birthday gathering here today. The staff were all so accommodating. Our waiter was absolutely awesome, helping us seat a larger group than anticipated and made everything run smoothly (thank you so much) The food and drinks were all delicious and very reasonably priced. Everyone was happy. I highly recommend Mercetta.

Really excellent breakfast. Great coffees too. I find the staff are always friendly and attentive. They also go to great lengths to make families feel welcome. It does a good trade in takeaway coffees. Seems quite popular with locals. Easy parking behind off Main St. Been there a number of times and will definitely return. Highly recommended.
