The Hub at Bishopstoke (Eastleigh) is one of my favourite bits of the River Itchen. You can park at The Hub and then walk either left or right along the Itchen Navigation Path. It's a beautiful stretch of river. Quite often you will see fishermen and swimmers and in the summer it's a hot spot for the kids and teenagers to play and frolic in the water. Trout swim upstream and can be seen (in season). As a chalk stream we are really very lucky to have this on our doorstep.

Had to go to the physio depth. Very friendly and helpful. The building is beginning to show its age. A toilet not working, and a lift that smells more like a tyre suppliers premises.

Lovely walk along the banks of the river Itchen. Yet to try swimming here but may do at some point. Free parking nearby too.

Highly recommend the Hub as a venue. I've been to events here before and always had a good experience, and last night I hosted a party there. The staff were excellent, really helpful and friendly. Easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. The hall hire includes bar staff for the evening and they have a caterer you can hire or you can use your own. They were happy to let us decirate the venue nicely and even helped us with setting up and packing away. There's plenty of parking and it's not far from the train station and bus route. I would definitely use the Hub for future events. Big thank you to Justin and the team for having us.

Beautiful bishopstoke. Love walking the dog up the river and around the field.

Great for a swim in the river. Make sure to use the proper steps to enter and leave the water to stop damage to the banks. Very clear and refreshing water perfect for cooling relaxing dip after work in the summer

We had the hub for our wedding reception. The staff went above and beyond to help us with all our needs and requirements. They were happy to help in any way possible, even during the wedding reception. We had drapes put up around the hall, it brought the whole room together and was the final perfect touch. Vicky, was brilliant and put me at ease, she helped to plan the running of the reception and knew exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend th Hub for any function. Thank you Justin and Vicky for your help and for making our reception so special.

The down side is the dog poo on the path. But the beauty and accessibility makes up for this in bucket loads. Frequented by everyone! Dog walkers, bike riders, strollers, runners, wild swimmers, picnicers, photographers, people fishing...people fishing for treasure!! The river is a chalk stream...some are suggesting it should be amongst the wonders of the world! You can see the fish and minnows everywhere. The far banks are forested and full of reeds, irises, overhanging trees...the near Bank, for some way, pasture, horses, the railway in the background...then the gardens of houses bordering the stream...you can cross over the bridge and walk back to town? Or walk on a bit to the road...right into Golden Common and a path through the fields and woodland onto the road that leads you back to the Hub....or cross the road to continue on the path to Winchester.
