A wonderful part of British heritage nestled amongst the trees and fields a stones throw from the M27, high up on a hill overlooking Bursledon, Hedge End and the surrounding houses. It is a fully functioning and Wonderfully maintained working windmill. Run and managed by a team of knowledgeable, passionate and friendly volunteers that make visits engaging and very interesting. There's good parking, toilets, a pond, outdoor pizza / bread ovens, and couple of barns to explore. Looking forward to the next pizza or music night.

I visited with my little girl for the spooky Mill evening. We both had a really great time exploring by torchlight. They had lots of activities for the kids and it was great value for money. I found the event on Facebook so follow the windmill on there for up to date activities. There is something really magical about windmills and we will be going back to see it in motion.

Historic and beautiful building, it's a shame the sails have been taken off as it loses some of its beauty. Still worth a visit.

Nice woods nearby but the windmill itself was a bit underwhelming - no propellers in place but this might be temporary

A good place to visit if you are in the area. Good luck with your fund raising for sails.

Organised casos. No health and safety. Cold and damp old doors used on work benchs for event tables. N9o parking for customers arriving by car

(Translated by Google) The independent and quiet environment of the past is like an instant return to the 18th century. Looking at the ancient tools, there are special people explaining the tour, reviewing the life of the ancients, increasing the knowledge, and letting the modern people know how smart the ancients are.. (Original) 遺世獨立清幽的環境,彷彿瞬間回到 18 世紀,看著古老的工具,有專人解說導覽,回顧了古人的生活,增長了知識,也讓現代人知道古人多聰明..

Easy to get to. Just off at junction 8. Good price and the ticket lasts you throughout the whole year of the date you purchase it. Plenty to do for the kids as we went when it was a "pirate day". Beautiful garden with woodland to walk in at the back and a tour and history of the still working windmill. Fruendkt service.
