Get the one negative out of the way, like most independent ale houses it's probably too small but apart from that it's fairly great. Good selection of drinks, decent prices and friendly staff. Going to make more of a effort to pop in more often.

This place is absolutely fantastic and my partner and I find ourselves in here more often than we’d like to mention because of it. It is only a 40 minute walk from our house, so works perfectly when incorporating it with a weekend walk. Plus it’s the only drinking hole worth visiting locally. The staff are all wonderfully welcoming and friendly and will always offer you helpful recommendations. There beer section is forever changing, hence why the regular visits too as it keeps enticing you back in!

Always a great selection of beers on here. Friendly place. Does get very crowded at times but they have additional seating outside.

Lovely staff, but the place smelt of pee so had to stand outside with my drink

It's a great social pub for locals. Not for the food, but there is andies across the road and snacks that I have never tried. Beer Is great and atmosphere is verry social as well as you are willing to meet people.

I'm so glad to have a local craftie: If you're every down this end while travelling, say you're staying for a gig or some type of event in city central, pop down here for some proper local atmosphere and great beers. There are plenty options from local and far away breweries, stuff from Vibrant Forest, all the way up to Left Handed Giant in Bristol. Amazing selection for all types of enjoyers; sours, ales, porters, stouts, seasonals. Good selection of cask, keg and take away too for whether you're taking one home or staying out. As someone that travels to a lot of breweries, this has saved me a lot of trips from hearing they have a seasonal or one off beer from a particular brewery. Highly recommend popping down here for one, or a few!

Always a fantastic selection of different beers. Staff are always friendly and chatty. Great tap takeovers! Always an imperial stout somewhere.

Cool inside even without a fan or air conditioning. Really enjoy the Fruli Strawberry Beer. Refreshing flavour with a modest kick of alcohol

If you're into your beer then this is the best pub in the city. The owner is lovely and despite it's small size there is a real sense of community here.

Friendly place were you can share a beer with locals. I love going there every time I stop by in Southampton and have a sip of good craft beers. Good selection of beers :-)

I do like this place, although tiny (I guess that's the point being a micropub, but would benefit massively from being bigger). Beers good, dog-friendly. Would be great if they teamed up with a local joint on the triangle to do food.
