The Quiz on Sunday and Wednesday is always fun, and the Christmas draw is worth a punt. Tell Andy that Dave sent you, and he'll ask 'Who?'. A really great friendly local. The Landlord , landlady and bar staff are always welcoming. The beer is well kept & the occasional food including freshly made pies , scotch eggs & sausage rolls is fantastic. The pub is well kept & the facilities always spotless. All in all by far the best pub in the area.

Have lived in this area since 95 but have never visited.... partly as I'm not a Wadworth's fan. The guest cask beer is kept v well. There is a good range of snackage including what looks like a cheese cob or two. Scratchings rather good (I speak as an expert). Most drinkers seem catered for. Atmosphere friendly and mainly local I would say. Ambience warm with low lighting. Could be an excellent place to hunker down on a winter's evening. I'm sorry I left it so long to visit!

A lovely pub which serves up cracking variety of drinks whatever your persuasion! The pub does a quiz on Wednesday and Sunday evenings hosted by the legendary landlord. One can occasionally order pies and sausage rolls made by the fabulous landlady to take away and eat at home. I like mine with chips. I like the posh beef crisps and the handsome barman who works Tuesday evenings.

An excellent local. Not too busy, not too quiet, nice beer, friendly staff but, most of all...the pork scratchings. Seriously, genuinely worth the walk to the pub just for them. Down a quiet side street, it's a lovely place to pass time.

Drinks were good value, the landlord was a lovely chap, the bar maid was nice too. However, the pork scratchings are amazing. Smoking shelter, outside benches, cozy seating. Sunday had a pub quiz. And the patrons were not difficult or overly weird.

Small but perfectly formed drinking establishment. A friendly landlord, nice and cosy atmosphere. Good selection of real ales. In non Covid times I tend to visit Wednesdays for the regular quiz which is both entertaining and informative.
