A great venue! We attended a comedy event as part of God's House Tower latest, and also explored the exhibition on upstairs. The bar is good and they had a food truck outside.

Nice tower with amazing view, interesting tour and extremely nice staff. The little cafe downstairs serves delicious food and hot drinks. The lady who served us was absolutely lovely!

Amazing interior, decadent pastry and fab staff. Dog friendly. My fav coffee place at the moment. Really a work of art inside. Must see. Ditch the Starbucks, go around the corner and grab a cuppa here. The only downside is the opening times, café works weekends only.

Excellent museum highlighting the history of the Tower from the 13 hundreds to today. With stunning views from the roof up quite steep steps. The hall is used as a gallery of art's. Nice little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Very helpful staff. Pay parking short walk. 27/5/23. Update from my original review museum ect . All good . Cafe unfortunately not to the same standard as when last reviewed the roasted vedg sandwich not available. The option beetroot sandwich very small .sausage roll half hot half cold ? And no salad with the dishes. And I don't remember the coffee cups being as small.

First time I’ve visited. Discovered it after going on the Medieval Wall Walk around the city. Should be advertised more, like so much more of Southampton’s historic gems...take note So’ton Council!!! We parked in Mayflower Park & walked across. It is only open Fri-Sun. It’s been done out really well, sympathetic to the original structure of the old building. It tells the story about the building as you walk through, I enjoyed the projector show but thought it could be longer. There isn’t a great deal to look at but what there is, is interesting & educational. The roof view is a must. All in all it’s worth the fiver admission. We stopped for a coffee at the end, in the cafe where you can also buy other refreshments. It does have outside seating too but we sat in the conservatory, again really well done out.

Lovely little museum and art gallery space. The gallery and one of the towers are free to enter, but there is a small entrance fee for the more historical / museum section. The presentation is well done by highlighting a few of the historical figures that were there at various times, both when it was a defensive bastion and when it was a prison. Pleasant view from the top of the tower.

Amazing building and they have done a great job in bringing alive the history of tower and medival Southampton. There is a really nice cafe on ground floor.

We used God's House Tower for our wedding party and it was amazing! Hannah was fab and helped us to organise the event, making everything seamless and easy. On the night the staff were friendly and helpful - we had the best night! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a venue to hire for an event. Thank you GHT!

Very beautiful building but very average coffee shop on the ground level. It's a great art gallery space. Recommend going for a quick look if you're in the area - it is free, which helps. Oftentimes, they aren't open, so don't go out of your way to see it.

This review is for Hannah, the GHT Venue Manager, who willingly went above and beyond her role by opening up, staying behind after normal working hours, and showing huge kindness and patience for myself and 6 other weary Pilgrims who had completed St James Way Camino Ingles from Reading, and we’re eager to collect their final Pilgrim passport stamp and certificate before their end celebration meal at The Duke of Wellington Pub, Bugle Street. Heartfelt thanks Hannah. You’re one in a million and Pilgrims, GHT and the Southampton community are lucky to have you.

A unique and interesting venue to have an art and cafe. A small menu of sandwiches, cake, and drinks are on offer as well as an art exhibitions upstairs. Worth visiting alone just to enjoy an old building that was part of the Southampton Walls.

Interesting explanation of the changing role including it's time as a prison. Now also a gallery.

What a great walk up to the top and the view was magnificent with information along the way that was just worth stopping and reading. The cafe was lovely at the bottom and the staff was just terrific. The person in charge of the tickets was knowledgeable and the experience was just a delight

We were here for 'Music in the City'. It was a lovely venue for this. We didn't stop for anything so can't comment on the cafe, etc. But we were very impressed and will go back.

Really good place if you're interested in some art made by Southampton locals. Such a nice place. Great centre for culture with good smiles all around. I'm always impressed by the politeness of the staff. I've been to their Late Night session which was such fun. Hope to go back there soon for another one. They sold beer brewed locally too, always a plus ;)

Amazing place to have a coffee and a sweet bun. Lovely gallery and community around. Just ask the staff and I'm sure they'll let you know about the events.

Maybe came in at the wrong time. Visited with my little boy, thought it may be interesting. The museum didn't have anything to offer other than audio recording. Yes, one of the rooms with a view is nice, but that's about it. We went through the whole thing in 5 minutes, as my son wanted to get out. The coffee and pastry looked nice, but again, only looked. Coffee was ok, the pastry was really dry and ridiculously overpriced, about 3 quid for a bun. I'm guessing it was made by Normans too. I wonder how this place survives. Probably taxpayer money. The best part was the park nearby.

What a fabulous piece of Southampton history. The restoration was well thought out and the exhibits fitting. The cakes and coffe we had in the cafe were good too.

I absolutely loved this little peace of history of Southampton city. The building and the history behind it just wonderful. The stuff is really friendly and they make delicious oat cappuccino ♥️ This place is a must to visit.

Had a great time exploring the history of the tower, the art works and a cake and coffee afterwards. Fantastic view from the top. Great for kids too. Would recommend.

Great little gallery space. Good food and drink too. Shame there's so many chavvy car drivers on the busy road outside, otherwise it would be really nice to sit out there.

What a gem in Southampton. I am local and had never been before. Well worth a visit. Very informative and visually exciting. Worth the £5 entry to the tower.
