2022 Went for a lunch today. A lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. We had the mac and cheese and the soup and scone. Both absolutely delicious! Came back May 2023 for a delightful lunch. Sat in the sunshine and had a fabulous Caesar salad with trout. So much cheese and fish it was an amazing combination. Wife had a delicious cheese scone and salad. Great service too and very friendly and attentive. Keep up the good work!

Visiting Romsey as prospective buyers in the area, and stopped in Cork and Bean as it was close by. The bar has a really great vibe and staff friendly. The decor is modern and trendy with a good quality menu (especially the wine). I ordered the club sandwich and my partner the quiche. We both had a glass of white wine (Picpoul & Gavi). The wine was spot on and the quiche was really delicious. The reason for the 4* instead of the 5* (it was 4.5 for us so could have gone either way) was because the club sandwich was perhaps a bit of a miss and the bill came to an eye watering £53. I love a good club sandwich but there were a few disappointing elements. The chicken was almost absent, soft and tasteless, a non-distinct egg mayo and an overpowering taste of tomato. Might have benefited from a few slices of avocado as well. No doubt had I had something else on the menu, it'd have landed a 5*, but on this experience just a touch short. We certainly will come back though.

Excellent service and Everything has clearly been thought out very carefully in terms of presentation. The little details DO matter and it is wonderful to see that translated into a superlative customer service experience. It's a pity I live so far away in Cumbria because I would have been back on a very regular basis! Well done to the team who made a casual simple lunch just a wonderful experience not to be forgotten!

We invited our clients to the Cork and Bean for a Christmas business event; and what a great choice! We were able to hire the space for the afternoon, into the event, and the ambience was perfect. The team took the time to understand our needs, and put together a phenomenal grazing table; with plenty of amazing food for our guests to enjoy. It wasn't just the food and ambience, but the customer experience too; pre event and during the event. They used their expertise to recommend the set-up, timings, and flow of the evening; and couldn't have been more attentive on the occasion. I would 100% recommend the Cork and Bean to any businesses that are looking to hold an intimate and impressive event.

Took the mother in law, her sister & the wife for lunch yesterday. Without question one of the best lunches I’ve had. Absolutely outstanding. And despite the mother in laws best attempts to test their patience, the service was also great. Definitely worth a visit

The cork and bean is fabulous. My husband and I really enjoy their breakfasts - so does our puppy who gets very spoilt with treats, in fact she leads us there ! My best friend and I often visit for the sharing board, gin and cake and have a wonderful time. All the food is delightful and the staff are very attentive

A great place to go and have a lovely lunch. My wife took me over the bank holiday weekend and the food and service was perfect. We sat outside in the sun watching the world go by as we enjoyed such great food. It felt like European cafe culture at its best! I had the Mac and cheese which was super cheesy and super silky. Simply the best I have ever had!

Today was my lucky day. Here in Romsey just for the day. The Cork n Bean was recommended by a salon in town. Had some kind of cheese and cracker board. First thing was the presentation. Wow. Talk about attacking onlookers. Some of the other customers actually got up from their seats to view this piece of visual art. The board was piled with artisan bread, assorted meats, assorted cheeses, crackers, gherkins, olives, mushrooms, an amazing salad, and these little almost miniature tomato like things, bread sticks wrapped in meat slices, grapes, butter, apricots, … I wish I could include this picturesque lunch feast of flavors. There was 2 boards, a garden board and a mixed board. I didn’t see the garden board, but I will never forget the mixed board. I rate this place and this meal with a measly 5 stars. This place deserves a 100 out of 5. The service was also fantastic. The ambiance is memorable. If you’re ever in Romsey, don’t just stop for lunch. Spend a few minutes to search out the Cork n Bean. You’ll most certainly be rewarded with an amazing memory as I have. They were also serving a strawberry and cream bowl for desert which was lite, tasty, and also visually pleasing as it was topped with a couple of tasty flowers. I do hope that they were edible. With all of the amazing tastes, I wasn’t risking leaving them behind. A gentleman guided us into the restaurant. Not sure if he was the owner or manager. Very very friendly person. If you are responsible for this creation, then credits to you. Well done 👍

We were travelling to our holiday apartment and met our friends en route at Romsey. We stopped at Cork and Bean for morning coffee and we were so pleased we did. All the staff that served us were friendly, attentive and fun. The cheese scones were delicious and there were a lovely choice of pastries, cakes and scones. Beautiful decor made it a lovely place to be with a great atmosphere. Thank you- what a gem in Romsey.

Ate at 5pm on Saturday and it was amazing. Booked table lunchtime. Welcomed by name on arrival. Lovely warm place and we sat on the sofas. Food smelled heavenly and tasted even better. Smokey pizzas 🍕 with soft drinks. Served so hot🔥, fresh ingredients and tasted amazing. Elderflower bubbly drinks with ice. So clean and the staff respected that we were in full natter mode with little disturbance. None of the keep coming back asking how things are. Even the other diners were busily chatting but we were not aware or could tell you anything about them. We will be back for the whole starter, main and pudd but we needed a light meal to fit with our evening plans. Will definitely be going back. Some people were sat at the outside tables and they were clearly staying a while.

Thank you for a wonderful evening at the cork and bean. Our daughter and her Fiancé booked a private party for family and friends to celebrate their Engagement with them. The staff were exceptionally friendly and gave great service all evening. The food was local produce, beautifully presented, high quality and delicious. The decor and ambiance was just perfect. Sheer Class! An independent gem for Romsey Town Centre! Make sure you go along and support this local independent business 10/10

Visited with my sister and her boyfriend for coffee and scones. Lovely coffee and great raspberry scones served warm. Great service too by one of the owners who explained the bill and other things they do in the evening - pizza nights etc. We had a little chat about Romsey too. Enjoyed being served by the good looking young man in there who had banter ;-) Will be returning soon.

Extremely rude front of house woman was not accommodating to my family or I and didn’t even try to suggest some ideas, like take away options, seating ideas or do anything to make us feel in the slightest bit welcome. Despite ringing ahead and speaking to a lovely man there who said children are welcome, yes tables are available and yes we do desserts. When we turned up he suggested where we could sit, only to be quickly shut down by the woman saying that the table was for her Christina, she came across so unprofessional. Whatever I suggested, she simply said no, no foresight of her own to provide any options. We love supporting local businesses but sadly with this one, it was a non-starter

First time exploring the area and needed a new cafe to enjoy. All staff were personable and attentive and smiling. I’m fussy about coffee and their espresso was delicious, not bitter and not overly sweet. Just smooth and enjoyable. They offer a range of cakes and their carrot cake is worthy of a Hollywood handshake. I haven’t tried their cooked foods yet but we will certainly be back here soon!

Our favourite lunchtime getaway. The staff are attentive, friendly, and give you a great experience. The food is utterly amazing. The menu is big and full of dantastic choices. And the wines and beers served are gorgeous. The decor and ambiance is so nice too. I'd even say this for us is the best place in Romsey to eat. We love it

What a great little place. I don't live locally but was attending a work event. The staff are excellent, food was very good (I have multiple intolerances but the staff took time to explain what I could and couldn't have) and the Penny Lane sav blanc was amazing. 100% recommend 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow, what an amazing lunch. This venue is incredible. Classy and stylish with a relaxed vibe. The staff are genuinely friendly and interested to talk to you. We witnessed a staff member taking a picture of a bottle of gin, we asked she was tasked with social media, she replied "No, We've just sold a lot of this and i think the boss will like the picture". That just shows how appreciated the staff are to the owners! And now to the food.... so good we thought we'd ordered the wrong size. A Charcuterie board that was full of surprises, the more we tucked in the more cured meat and cheese would appear, it was like savoury lucky dip! Paired with warm breads, salted butter, artisan crackers... gorgeous salads and chutneys. We paired our Charcuterie with Rosè and Pinot... utter perfection!
