Bar
Charley
has
a
lot
of
room
for
improvement.
Went
to
Bar
Charley
with
friends
because
we
wanted
filet
mignon
and
BC
had
great
reviews
-
but
while
filet
mignon
is
listed
on
their
website,
it
isn't
on
the
menu
at
the
restaurant.
Instead
they
offer
strip,
ribeye
and
steak
frites
-
more
on
that
shortly.
One
huge
red
flag
for
Bar
Charley's
is
the
very
small
print
at
the
bottom
of
the
menu
-
the
restaurant
adds
a
mandatory
5%
surcharge
to
every
order.
Not
for
the
staff,
not
for
gratuity
-
just
jacks
up
the
prices
by
5%.
Ribeye
is
listed
for
$55
but
the
real
price
is
$57.75.
Why
not
just
make
the
prices
what
they
are
and
not
lie
about
it?
So
weird.
The
waitstaff
shows
no
interest
in
the
customers
with
huge
gaps
in
time
and
service
between
courses
and
drinks.
My
companions
and
I
ordered
a
strip,
ribeye,
and
steak
frites.
When
the
steaks
were
delivered,
the
waiter
lowered
the
lights
in
the
restaurant
so
low
we
couldn't
see
the
food
-
which
made
cutting
around
the
massive
amounts
of
fat
on
the
steaks
impossible.
The
strip
steak,
promised
to
be
nearly
fat
free,
was
lined
with
tough
bands
of
fat
and
gristle.
The
ribeye
was
more
fat
than
meat.
And
the
steak
frites
didn't
come
with
frites
but
salad.
No
steak
knives
provided
either
-
we
were
left
with
used
butter
knives
to
cut
the
steak
until
we
could
flag
down
a
server
and
ask
for
something
better.
One
huge
pet
peeve
-
after
we
finished
the
appetizers,
the
busser
took
our
dirty
silverware
and
placed
it
on
the
table.
This
is
terrible
sanitation
-
table
tops
are
high
touch
surfaces
usually
not
well
cleaned.
Additionally,
the
busser
was
handling
other
dirty
objects
around
the
restaurant
and
goes
directly
to
handling
guest
silverware.
In
an
expensive
restaurant
like
Bar
Charley,
silverware
should
be
removed
and
replaced
with
every
course.
Drinks
were
mediocre
and
the
dessert
wine
recommended
by
the
waiter
was
so
bad
no
one
at
the
table
could
get
past
the
first
sip.
Incredibly
expensive
dinner
for
really
poor
quality
food
and
lackluster
service.
