My 11 friends and me had the great pleasure of having Mario with us for a one-day sightseeing tour in Goa. Mario had suggested a schedule that perfectly fitted our needs and his explanations were very interesting and helpful to understand Goa better. Mario is such a great tour guide! He was very knowledgeable. Our favorite thing was the spice plantation. Even our teenagers had a really great time at the plantation and the rest of the tour. Mario made sure we had everything we needed!

Goa is not just beaches and parties. There's also a whole lot of history and culture associated with the place that most tourists never try to learn about. But those who are bitten by the history bug should definitely try the walking tour in the heart of Panjim with Mario, a brilliant guide who knows the city (and Goa in general) inside out. Mario is a storyteller who really gets you intrigued, gets you asking all sorts of questions about how the city and its dwellers used to be back in the day. His understanding of the Portuguese influence, the Konkani culture, the mindset of the locals - all of it makes for a wonderful day outing in the colourful, quaint lanes of Fontainhas. Worth the money, easy.

I planned a long over due trip to Goa with some degree of trepidation as I last visited Goa as a 11year old boy! We were allocated Mario as the tour guide and he immediately sensed our evolving needs and quickly restructured the plan to meet and exceed the brief originally given to him by our UK travel agent. This allayed our concerns and every tour was on time and we were allowed more time to absorb the beautiful scenery in Old & New Goa walks, iconic catholic churches, etc. The Dudhsagar Falls visit was the highlight of our visit as he planned an very early start and we beat the thousands of tourist descending on this extremely beautiful spot, which meant we had less time queuing and more time site seeing on the tour. Well done Mario!

I had a great time seeing Goa with Mario, he was really good at explaining the history and gave me plenty of knowledge about all the sites we visited. My highlights were visiting the Spice plantation and learning about how everything is grown. Thanks Mario, highly recommend!

I had no idea I'd get such an incredible personalized tour. His name is Mario, and he was very helpful and friendly to us. Throughout our tour, he directed and informed us in great detail. He told us about each site of interest in thoroughness, as well as what was nearby. We went to Utorda Beach, two churches, Basilica de Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral, and the epic local market in Panjim Municipal Market. Mario Miranda's panting was on display at that market. I love his wonderful picture. Mario patiently explained many of the items sold in the market (brown rice, flowers, and various vegetables, etc.). During the journey, it rained. But, it did not prevent us from buying souvenirs or stuff. Mario drove us to the shopping center on June 18th Road. He is very patient in waiting for us to walk through the various shops. The last place we went was Fountainhas, where we had the opportunity to try the Bebinca cake. I like it:D, it has a sweet taste and a soft texture. We toured and learned a lot about Fountainhas history. We discovered many colorful houses that were extremely interesting. Unfortunately, it rained heavily, and we wanted to finish our tour before continuing on to our last destination, a resort where we would stay. Thank you really lot. Mario, many thumbs up. We had so many wonderful impressions of Goa because of you. Stay healthy to all of us.

A wonderful bespoke day tour of Goa covering cultural and heritage sites with a walking tour of the old Portuguese quarter, the fresh food and flower market, stopping at a bakery to sample Goan sweet treats and finishing at a fascinating spice plantation with tour and a spicy lunch included. Mario is the ultimate tour guide who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his Goan heritage and culture going the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable at all times. There was always a cold fragrant towel to help cool you down in the heat, a cold bottle of water on hand even a spray for you to use on the toilet seat before use! He made sure the pace of the tour was suitable and there were little treats and thoughtful gifts throughout the tour. He even arranged a freshly made Goan seafood curry for us at the plantation lunch as he knew we hadn't tried an authentic Goan curry yet. I can't highly recommend Mario's tours enough especially if you want to gain a cultural insight to this fascinating part of India with a consumate guide.

This tour with Mario was excellent! He spoke very good English, and it was very easy to understand him. We felt very loved by him, and he made sure that we had everything we needed. He even went out of his way to make sure we got to the airport and checked in OK. Mario is an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. We hope to do a tour with him another day.

Had an amazing experience with them. Special mention for Mario, our guide for the excursion explained us pretty much everything about Goan history with great enthusiasm. We opted for heritage walk in and around fontainhas. If you happen to be in Goa then, I would highly recommend this excursion.

We visited historic sites and scenic places in 2015. Mario has very deep knowledge about the history of Goa and the places in Goa, and he gave us such a great insights of the traditions, culture, and the historic stories behind each site we visited. We had a blast. Thank you Mario.

This tour was exceptional, and our guide, Mario, made all the difference. His vast knowledge and articulation made every stop engaging and educational, while his clever and warm personality meant that even our car rides between stops were full of fun and informative conversation. The tour was a perfect balance of walking, talking, and experience. Each stop was the perfect amount of time: not too long that we got disengaged, yet long enough to feel like we got the most out of it. Highlights for us were the spice plantation tour and walking around the Latin quarter. I cannot recommend this tour, and Mario as a guide, enough! Hopefully we will be back in Goa soon!

Our trip to India and the surrounding Goa area was amazing. Mario provided an excellent tour of Goa. He was knowledgeable in the history of the area and the sites that he took us to. Mario also educated us on the Indian and Goa cultures. We felt safe the entire time. He catered the trip to meet our needs as we were also traveling to the eastern side of India to visit the Taj Mahal and the surrounding areas. Mario coordinated the second half of our trip with a travel agent which made the trip very seamless with no hick ups. I would highly recommend Mario to anyone traveling to India and will use him again the next time we go.

I went on this tour summer of 2016!! Mario was a fantastic tour guide. We had a full day packed in with a lot of sites to see, and he provided us with very clear historical information for every site. Not only that, but Mario goes above and beyond to ensure that the customer has a good time and has their needs provided for, with appropriate stops of food and water and times to rest and enjoy the sites! From historic forts to famous churches, to riding elephants, our day was packed with so many fun things and so many memories made! We have just returned from a very enjoyable fortnight in Goa and the highlight of our trip was the 'Glimpses of Goa' sight-seeing tour with Mario of Exotic Goa Excursions as a guide.
