Wonderful, new (opened in 2019) boutique-y design hotel in Nihombashi-Hamacho, served by three different subway lines within 10 minutes walk. Small but efficient and spotless rooms, with extremely comfortable firm beds. Corner rooms have a Queen bed and much more space (and a fancier Washlet/bidet and bath/shower wet room) - well worth the extra cost if you can book one. There is a 24-hour supermarket across the street, with everything you could possibly need, and the hotel even has a microwave for warming up your bento, as well as laundry machines for guest use. Bonus: the hotel is a 4-minute walk from the Tokyo City Air Terminal (TCAT), which is a major stop for the Limousine Buses that run from/to Narita and Haneda Airports - these make for an incredibly easy transit after a long flight … and four minutes is manageable with luggage for the simplicity and cost for the direct bus. Extra bonus: the Single O coffee shop across the street (AUS-influenced drinks and snacks and locally-roasted beans); and Boulangerie Django bakery and patisserie a few doors down the block: both 5* too!

Booked the "corner double" room for 4 nights during our first visit to Japan and I have to say I was seriously impressed! This room had a beautiful view of the city and was in a great neighborhood. My wife also is extremely clean and is always worried about staying in hotels but this place was impeccably clean and we both loved the room. There was also plenty of space in the room for luggage which were a bit concerned about after hearing people say that Japanese hotel rooms are much smaller. The bathroom and tub was also so nice. In addition to the room itself, the service was so good! We put "do not disturb" a couple days and they left a bag with replacement towels, toiletries, and water bottles outside the room. Can't recommend enough!

We stayed here for two nights near the end of our stay. For comparison the other hotel we stayed at was the Tokyo Marriott. This hotel is nice. The rooms are on the smaller side but as expected for Tokyo. The service is very nice and friendly. Surrounding areas are pleasant, there are numerous subway stations in a ~10-15 minute walk. Also went for a jog and the Sumida River is nearby to jog by. Overall would recommend and stay here again.

We got corner double room and had an incredible sunset view! I would definitely recommend it as it was such a nice highlight to end our Tokyo trip. The room itself is spacious, well lit and designed! The chocolate gift from the hotel was delicious (they sell craft chocolate called Nel). They also have a coin laundromat and a microwave available for use! Location wise, it was about 10 minutes walk to near the closest train station so depends on what you prefer. There is a supermarket (Peacock) across the road which was great to buy snacks and ready made meals!

The hotel room is very clean, and it's excellent for the price. There's a central area with many restaurants about a 15-minute walk away. Additionally, there's a market right in front, making it very convenient. The Narita Airport limousine stop is a 5-minute walk, which is incredibly convenient. I highly recommend the complimentary essential oils provided at the hotel entrance – the scent is fantastic.

Very nice hotel, as expected of this chain. I really like the design of the lobby and the amount of windows/light and trees throughout the entire hotel, including in the room is so nice. The room: nice and comfortable and the layout makes it feel extra spacious. I especially liked that the wooden floors (rather than typical carpets in many hotels) because it’s much less dusty. ☁️ Comfy bed, but wish there were more pillows. 🛁 Bathroom was the best part, and the reason why we picked this hotel. It’s super spacious, amazing shower and bathtub is hugeee. Perfect after a long day of walking around. 🚽 Toilet is separated which is extra convenient. The lobby also has a free DIY aroma bath salt station that you can then use in the amazing bath. Unfortunately we didn’t notice it until at checkout so we didn’t get to give it a try :(

Very nice modern and elegant hotel. Small rooms as with most hotels in Tokyo but very clean and well maintained. Air conditioning was a bit harsh especially at night. The location was not very good for us as it is always a 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro station and there is not much locally in terms of restaurants, bars or sights. Taking a walk next to the river is nice though and it is a 5 minute walk from Tokyo City Air Terminal (airport buses) and a 1500 Yen taxi ride from Tokyo station. The breakfast was one of the worst we have ever had in a hotel, not just small but also bad quality. Stale drip coffee, cheap juices, no fresh fruit, soggy bread… I would highly advise against getting breakfast here but overall it’s a nice hotel if you can get a reasonable price.

Just an ok hotel trying to get the hip crowd. Even though there are 3 Metro lines nearby, it's a really long walk so hope it doesn't rain. Jazz is rarely played at the bar at night. Soundproofing is non-existent, you'll hear people in other rooms and the street traffic. However it wasn't too bad. Unfortunately the blinds are not the black out type and lots of light bleeds from the sides of the roller blind...where it should have guide rails to block this light as per all other Japanese hotels. Breakfast is rather lacking, only a few options and only thing they cook that morning is bacon and scrambled eggs. They couldn't even offer me an espresso, though they clearly have an espresso machine and during lunch, dinner the menu clearly states espresso. So trying to be hip, fails to deliver live jazz...let alone jazz constantly playing at the bar. Plus a non-existent bar tender because they couldn't understand a very stable drink and even the brands of liquor for it. And can't make me a morning espresso, let alone offer to me. PS: forgot to mention breakfast on the weekends now only starts at 8am.

24/7 family mart mins walk away. Walking distance from multiples metro station. Tho it's kinda office area but it's still convenient for us as there's many eatery along the streets as well. Room is spacious n clean. Hotel personnel knows English and willing to go extra mile to help us out such as booking transport tickets for us over the phone and finding routes for us. Free bath salts, lavender etc etc for your daily use to soak in bathtub after a long day! Will visit again.

Good-sized clean and modern room. I booked the Premium Terrace Room. It was spacious with a nice outdoor sitting area. Plenty of power points around the room and the bathroom was also big and spacious, pretty much as pictured in the hotel website. The front desk staff were very helpful with requests and most of the staff were very proficient in English. I checked out at 5am and there was just 1 staff on service so the poor young man had to fulfil multiple roles of helping my party of 3 rooms move our multiple pieces of luggage down and handle check out as well. It might be a good idea to move the luggage down the night before in the case of such early check out.

Hamacho Hotel is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We had asked for a handicap accessible room as one of us has a spinal disability, and they upgraded us for free to one of their nicest rooms on a top floor in the corner. It’s spacious, beautifully laid out, and the view of downtown Tokyo is just gorgeous. You are also given complimentary bottled water, bathrobes, and slippers. They have a lovely restaurant and a craft-chocolate cafe on their first floor, coin laundry and a vending machine on their 4th, a complimentary bath salts bar in the long which is just lovely, and the Hotel itself has a lovely calm, high-class atmosphere. It also has great views from the upper floors and is located close to several train stations. It’s also within walking distance of lots of great hole-in-the-wall places, and there’s a little supermarket directly across the road if you forget anything while travelling. We would definitely recommend - the staff are so lovely and polite as well!!

Fantastic rooms. Beautifully decorated. Soft sheets. Very comfortable to stay at and the value can't be beat. Only downside is that it's located pretty far from the train station if you wanna go down to Tokyo.

We enjoyed our stay at Hamacho hotel. Although we speak little to no Japanese, check in and check out went very smoothly and we felt very welcomed. The rooms are small according to western standards but they have everything and we were comfortable. I love how many amenities are offered. The hotel was very clean and is in a good location. The only drawback is it is a little far from subway stations so it may take a little longer to get somewhere.

Great hotel to stay at. Everything from the front desk to the rooms and hallways look luxurious. The check in and check out process was hassle free and the staff could communicate well in english. They have a bath salt bar at the front for your bathtub use. The location is also convenient. The room was very comfortable and the washroom was nice too.

A lovely modern hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. Room/bathroom impeccably clean, compact and comfortable as you would expect from a Japanese hotel. Lots of afternoon sun shining in room on a cold day which was lovely. However I was surprised how beat-up the room was in areas due to wear and tear. Particularly for such a new hotel.

Good size room, and super clean. Front desk speak English and super helpful. Great for solo travelers. The only thing that I didn’t like was the bed. It was super hard comparing to the other hotels I stayed at in Japan.

Very clean, they provide complimentary bath salts and a wide variety of amenities (toothbrush, razor, etc). They keep the room meticulously clean each day. The staff are very polite and they allow your to keep the luggage on the hotel premises on the day of check-out while you explore the city. Check out the cute bakery vending machine nearby that is perfect for a midnight snack (banana bread is best, skip the chewy rice cookies).

I had the pleasure of discovering this charming boutique hotel during my recent visit to Tokyo, and I must say, it's an absolute hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the hotel's elegant lobby, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of understated luxury. The attention to detail in the hotel's design and decor is truly impressive. Each room exudes a sense of Japanese aesthetic. My room was impeccably appointed, providing all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location is another highlight. Nestled in a quieter neighborhood, it offered a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Yet, it was still conveniently located near public transportation, making it easy to reach Tokyo's major attractions and landmarks. In summary, if you're looking for an intimate and opulent stay in Tokyo, this boutique hotel is an absolute must. This is the kind of place that leaves you feeling rejuvenated and inspired, making it a true treasure in the heart of Tokyo.

I absolutely love this place. I had 4 hotels during my stay in Japan (Tokyo to Kyoto to Fujiyoshida to Tokyo) and this one was definitely a favorite in my group. Location wise, great. It was a quiet area and I got great sleep. The station is fairly close and there are some good places to eat arounf the area. Staff was great and the rooms were good for a single person like me or for a couple like my sister and her fiance. Super clean and overall cozy. If I go back to Tokyo, I'll most definitely book here again.

Booked a double corner room. Room spacious and comfortable. 6 minute walk to Hamacho metro station and from there only 2 stops to Tokyo station to catch the Shinkansen bullet train. Great hotel and location. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

location: hotel is close to TCAT, making it easy to access from the airports, but is not close to a train station. we’ve had to do quite a lot of walking to and from the station and it is overall not too convenient service: amazing service in the way that their room service, even if you don’t ask for it, will still give you extra earbuds/towels/tea in case u need it. they also provide DIY bath salts in the lobby during the evening!! lobby people are also very kind :) rooms: our semi-double room is the perfect size and I absolutely love the design of it. it’s such a cute room and the outside building and lobby areas are nice to look at too

I had a fantastic stay at Hamacho Hotel. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by warm and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The room was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a luxurious and relaxing stay. My favourite part was getting to choose our own bath salts and essential oils to use every night in the bath tub. As well as the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel that they provided.

This hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. We stayed in a corner king room. The greenery and view were lovely. The bathtub and shower room was very nice. Clean room, large bed, comfortable seating along the window/wall. Loved the bath salt station in the lobby. Enjoyed the chocolate cafe too!

Tropical-like decorated hipster hotel with English-speaking professional staffs. Recommend choosing Corner or Balcony rooms as better view. Please MUST book the breakfast, it's amazing, and the place turning into a cool bar at night. Definitely going to visit again in my next trip to Tokyo soon.

Love this place. Staff are friendly and willing to provide any help you may need. The location is perfect, sitting in a rather quiet place in Tokyo. Just a few minute walk to Hamacho metro station, and several supermarkets are nearby. The interior design is beautiful.

Design: 4/5, great looking hotel Room practicality: 2/5, no storage, desk chair is too tall to tuck under the desk Room comfort: 4/5, reasonably comfortable bed, good bedding Bathroom practicality: 2/5, no storage in the bathroom except for a small narrow shelf, switches are behind the door Bathroom details: 2/5, hot water is scalding and inconsistent in temperature, thermostat appeared to not be calibrated Amenities: 3/5 pajamas, good size towels replaced daily, slippers, no public bath Staff: 4/5, speaks great English and was helpful with restaurant reservations, however wanted ¥420 to book us a taxi? Location: 3/5, 10-12-minute walk to the nearest subway station Summary: Yet another modern hotel designed by people who don’t stay at hotels or travel with nothing. Lots of potential wasted by annoying details.

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The staff was very kind. The room was a bit small but we had everything we need. The building is really modern and clean. They also have a laundry room on the 4th floor and pretty good restaurant /bar inside for a decent price.

Very new hotel, tidy and well designed for the size (standard in Japan). The bed was comfortable and staff are friendly and professional. I would highly recommend for travellers, as we usually stay at business hotels and this was a step up, despite a similar price!

We recently stayed here for 6 nights in a double room with 2 adults 1 toddler. Having recently switched from another hotel in Akihabara (purely for a change), we were a little surprised this hotel was more expensive given the longer distance to major hubs in Tokyo. Whilst there is a bus stop literally outside the front doorsteps and multiple different metro stations, they are all minor stations and not a major hub like Akihabara. Breakfast was also quite a minimal affair which I would equate to a 2 star at best. The staff were very nice but I probably wouldn’t return based off location and high price. We saw a lot of foreigners stay but most of them were taking Ubers everywhere unlike us who only took public transport.

Underrated hotel. The place although quite far from subway station, but the location is nice. I also like how they can combine japanese minimalism with zen aesthetic.

Sleek and modern hotel. The room that we got from a booking platform was small but sufficient for our needs. Bathroom great, clean with plenty of amenities (love that no small & single use shampoos, conditioner and bath soap and all were eliminated!). Clues to several stations, great cafes and convenience stores. Staff attentive and friendly. Recommended as a value for money hotel and will come back again.

Awesome hotel. Clean rooms, amazing staff and decent location. If there was one area for improvement it would be the pillows, they took a bit of getting used to. The cherry on top of a great stay was a bath salt bar you could use every night, very nice!

  • 4/5 Ming Yen C. 1 year ago on Google
CP value is high. Found this hotel with the best price among the same level hotel. The room design is pleasant with woody style. Decent room size with comfy bed setting. Their staffs is helpful and knowledgable, they gave us handmade chocolate upon our checkin :D Bath salt with aroma oil is provided in the lobby to make you full use of their bathtub which are very much needed after the hectic itineraries in Tokyo every day. The only problem might be slightly distance to the nearest train station, so guests with kids, senior citizens or disabled might not convenient to stay here. Overall recommended! :)

  • 4/5 Maxim N. 11 months ago on Google
Stayed here for a total of 8 nights. So I guess my review should be quite explicit. Pros: clean, stylish, modern and tidy room. A little walking distance from metro stations however, very convenient as there are a total of 3 to 4 lines of metro covered. The bath salt and aroma oils provided in the lobby is definitely superb after a long and tiring day strolling around Tokyo. Hotel has a 24 hour supermart opposite and also surrounded with a number of convenience stores; 7-11, aeon express & family mart. Unfortunately, Lawson is quite a distance. Room size is average since space in Tokyo is very limited. Shower and bathtub is good. Water pressure is good. Amenities were refilled everyday and room being make up everyday too. Cons: For light sleepers like me, is a disaster. There were ambulance and cars speeding in the middle of the night. Makes it very hard for me to sleep as I will be awaken by the loud noises. Trust me, is super loud! I strive for good sleep quality during my vacation and I was disappointed with this as overall hotel was quite good. Will I be back?: Maybe!

We had an amazing stay at Hamacho Hotel Tokyo! Although the Hamacho Hotel Tokyo is situated in a business district rather than being in close proximity to the main attractions, it enjoys a favorable location near Hamacho station. This station offers convenient access to the Shinjuku district and other major correspondent stations through a direct line, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking easy transportation connections. The rooms were small but functional and tastefully decorated, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff provided exceptional service. Highly recommended for a memorable stay in Tokyo!

I’m so happy I stayed here on my trip to Japan! The area was really nice and the room just felt clean and well decorated and was great to return to. The bath salt bar in the lobby was my favourite part! I loved having a nice bath after a long day of walking around. I would definitely recommend this place, and would love to stay again whenever I make it back!

We booked 2 Family Rooms at this hotel for a week and we were very impressed with the service more than the hotel. We can attest that they have a 5 star hotel-like service, way more 5-star service than the other 5-star hotels that I know of so yes, I highly, very highly recommend this to travelers. It may not be in the busy central of Tokyo but it gives you peace of mind every time you go back to relax and have your dinner, lunch, breakfast or snacks. The area, Nihonbashi Hamacho, has a lot to offer! Thank you, Hamacho Hotel! You're the best as you had given us a good first time experience in Japan.
